This work is dedicated to the question of political and cultural relations of Czech lands and England in the second half of the 14th century. Attention is also paid to international relation in western Europe which led to cultural and artistic exchanges. Using historical events as a background, it analyses extant resources and works of art, by which can be the contact proven. Detailed analysis of the preserved works of art with English origin in the second half of the 14th century during the reign of English King Richard II, is followed by comparison with contemporary art production in Czech lands. The goal is to find features these two groups share and to find a way, through which the cultural ideas were transmitted. In that respect it is especially the marriage of the royal daughter Anne of Bohemia to English king Richard II Plantagenet in the year of 1382.

ABSTRACT: This thesis deals with teaching Computing subjects at secondary schools in England as a model for transformation of teaching ICT at schools in the Czech Republic. The thesis focuses on the portability of aspects of teaching Computing to the Czech environment and endeavours to identify the possible barriers to implementation processes. The aim of the thesis is to bring new stimuli for changes in the Czech ICT curriculum that are based on the experience of teaching ICT and Computing in the UK. The theoretical part of the thesis consists of the analysis and comparison of the Czech and British curricular documents and the study of academic and journalistic texts. The empirical part uses questionnaires focused on opinions of Czech and English experts on teaching ICT or Computing. This Master's degree thesis addresses the issue of the divorce of marriage and problems of divorce with minor child in Czech and English law. It includes informations about changes brought by new Civil Code Act No. 89/2012 Coll., which is coming into force on 1.1.2014. The purpose of the thesis is to analyse current regulation of the divorce of marriage and problems of divorce with minor children in the Czech Republic and England and its comparison with Civil Code Act 2012. The thesis is composed of six chapters. They are divided into many subchapters in way that it is easy to look up and compare individual law problems of any main topic. It covers present legislation in force and Civil Code Act 2012 in the Czech Republic and present legislation in force in England. Chapter one starts with a description of the term marriage, family and parental responsibility, which are important basis for other chapters. Constitutional development in England in the 17th century summary This thesis deals with an important period in English constitutional history. It focuses on the position of English kings and their dispute with English parliament over decisive power in the state. It attempts to describe the main changes in position of the English king and considers significance of the 17th century especially for the later development of parliamentary form of English government. The thesis is divided into four main chapters. First chapter describes the system of English law including common law, case law or law of equity and important royal prerogatives of the king for example the right to summon or dissolve parliament, to appoint judges of common law courts and royal councillors and also events of previous century, specially establishing the Church of England when house of Tudor ruled in England. Furthermore it briefly follows the historical development of parliament and its powers. The master thesis is focused on the interpretation of the attitude of Francis of Assisi towards the poverty of the first Franciscan religious buildings. Religious buildings of the English Franciscans from the selected sites from the years 1224-1258/1259 will comprise the case studies. The goal of their study is to show the extent to which they reflected Francis's approach towards poverty of buildings. The study of Francis's understanding of poverty of buildings will be based on the analysis of the chosen written sources of the order's provenance. Besides Thomas of Eccleston, whose work known as Tractatus de adventu fratrum Minorum in Angliam belongs to the most important narrative sources within the examined period, the royal grants for construction and the reports from the sites which were archaeologically excavated will be used for the reconstruction of the character and liturgical function of the first religious buildings of the English Franciscans. A summary of the degree of expression of poverty on the examples of the analyzed religious buildings of the English Franciscans will be the subject of the conclusion of the master thesis.

Tato diplomová práce pojednává o výnosnosti, riziku a likviditě slovenského dluhopisového trhu v letech 1997-2006 a o porovnání těchto charakteristik s dluhopisovými trhy Česka, Německa a Anglie za léta 1999-2006. Cílem této práce je kvantifikovat a zhodnotit dané charakteristiky dluhopisů slovenského trhu jak na individuální bázi, tak ve srovnání s vybranými trhy dluhopisů. V závěru je vyhodnocena úroveň slovenského trhu jako nedostačující vzhledem ke srovnání s vybranými trhy dluhopisů.
