Využití hiporehabilitace při reedukaci poruch chování dětí a mladistvých / Hippo re-education of behavior disorders of children and teenagers

The present thesis is focused on hippo rehabilitation as a novel technique for re-education of adult and child behavior disorders. The work briefly characterizes issues of adult and child behavior disorders and presents how hippo rehabilitation can be used to positively influence their bad behaviour patterns. The importance of social behavior of horses for re-education of behavior disorders is clarified based on the knowledge of the horse Etology during rehabilitation lessons. In the end of the theoretical part, ?American programme? that use mustang horses for re-socialization of prisoners is described and its parallels are implied to hippo rehabilitation. The practical part of the thesis describes a few chosen hippo rehabilitation centers in the Czech Republic and one center in Germany. Therapeutic approaches to individual client needs are discussed. The positive effect of hippo rehabilitation is documented by three attached case studies describing courses of rehabilitation. In conclusion, the chosen courses of rehabilitation are compared.

The purpose of this diploma work is to introduce zootherapy and therapy dog and to determine the possibilities of employing therapy dogs in education of children in elementary and special schools. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the description of zootherapy, its forms and methods. It also deals with preparation and exams for therapists. Lastly there is a section on therapy dogs, their personality and preparation for this field of work. You can also find some information on how to choose the best puppy using the puppy aptitude test. The practical part of this thesis deals with the employment of animal assisted therapy at normal and speial schools. The results had been achieved through interviews that I had made with therapists who use dogs at schools and also through obseration during those classes.

The aim of this study was to examine the use of animals in the therapy of neurotic disorders under the settings of mental hospitals. First part of this work desribes neurotic disorders and their therapy with a particular emphasis on AAT (Anima-Assisted-Therapy, pet therapy) and its subdivisions (hippotherapy, canistherapy, etc.) Principals of AAT are explained. Further, contraindications and possible risks are mentioned and the inherent possibility of animal misuse is discussed. The theses include basic guidelines and methods used in AAT and concludes with practical observations made by psychotherapists from the Czech mental hospitals.

Využití zvířat v ekocentrech při edukaci žáků prvního stupně ZŠ / The Use of Animals in Ecocentres to Educate Students in Primary Education

The theses is dealing with use of animals in programes of enviromental educations in rating students in primary school which is realizing by center of enviromental and ecological educations in Czech republic. Teoretical part is dedicated to benefits that brings the animals to the educations, risks educations with animal help. The relationships to animals and stances which can made the positiv experiences. In research part is made the combined research. In kvantitativ part is made the analysis of 85 ekocenters, and their programs with animals, on whose basic was made qualitative structural interview. It was done 10 interviews between workers of czech ekocenters. The goal is describe, how are the animals used for the education of children. My findings are, that the most common species use is a bird (34 %). Students experience direct contact with the animal on 46 %, in 26 % living animal in not actually part of the program. Safety of the student sis controlled by following Health and Safety Regulation and via pedagogical supervision. The safety of the animal is assured during the program by the lecturer and while not in use within program by following animal welfare. The thesis addresses the topic of employment of persons with disabilities on sheltered and training positions. Its intention is to draw attention to the importance of employment in the life of these people, the importance of raising public awareness and the necessity to establish a responsive attitude of the public as well as employers in this sphere. The thesis provides a theoretical background for the issues of employment of the disabled. It intentionally explains the term of vocational rehabilitation in a broader context of active employment policy and as an element of complex rehabilitation. The thesis characterises the sphere of social entrepreneurship as one of the options where the creation of sheltered and training positions may form a central programme of an enterprise. It presents operational programmes which currently enable the creation of training positions. The thesis includes characteristics of a selected entity where training and sheltered positions are implemented on a sociotherapeutic farm. The practical section of the thesis describes the possible ways of utilising the sociotherapeutic farm in the employment of individuals with disabilities.
