The dissertation thesis deals with the time assessment of designed lifting mechanisms in monolithic constructions in Civil Engineering. The main reason for choosing this subject matter is a current trend in construction that in terms of administrative and housing construction tends to build monolithic buildings. Lifting mechanisms are crucial in such buildings nowadays. The efficiency of lifting mechanisms is often neglected in the preparatory phase of construction time schedules, which leads to inefficient capacity utilization of the machine. Nevertheless, this is directly related to meeting the agreed deadlines, which in turn leads to complications that often result in a considerable financial loss for the contractor. In order to solve this subject matter it was necessary to perform monitoring on an appropriate sample of constructions. In the case of this work it was a total of six buildings, four of which were further analysed. Furthermore, individual partial construction processes requiring tower crane operation were analysed. A time assessment methodology including a proposal of possible prioritization of selected activities has been developed. Based on the knowledge gained from the monitoring of the buildings as well as from the analysis of individual items, a simulation model was developed. This model mathematically and graphically evaluates the ability of the designed tower crane to serve a given number of partial construction processes within a specified evaluation section in which the smallest evaluated section equals to one work shift. The benefit of this work is to enable efficient deployment of the tower crane in the preparatory phase of construction. Another benefit is also a prompt operative assessment of the load of the tower crane by a works foreman within a given shift. The diploma thesis deals with the attitude of parents and teachers of pupils with chronic diseases in the attenuation of compulsory school attendance at the 1st stage of ordinary primary school. The objective of the work is to identify the problems that parents and teachers of chronically ill students encounter during the educational process. From this basis, the purpose is also to find the basis for the best possible cooperation between parents and teachers. The theoretical idea is represented by individual chronic diseases, namely asthma, cystic fibrosis, pediatric oncological diseases, type 1 diabetes mellitus and epilepsy. In addition, the legislative framework for the education of pupils with these diseases, the methodology of working with pupils with chronic diseases and a search of domestic and foreign research conducted on a similar topic are addressed. The methodological part is devoted to qualitative research, the main goal of which is to find out the attitudes of teachers and parents to the educational process of pupils suffering from the above diseases. Master's thesis called Spiritual needs in people with cerebral palsy and their saturation in social care focuses on expressing spirituality in people with cerebral palsy (CP) and studies what the spiritual needs may be and if personal care assistants (PCAs) can help to fulfil clients' spiritual needs. The theoretical part shows the issues of CP and the view to people with this disability, with the emphasis to the options of their participation for life in society. It deals with the topic of spirituality and spiritual dimension as one of many dimensions of human personality. After presenting several important theories of needs it continuous with the role of PCAs and their role in fulfilling the clients' spiritual needs. The practical part proceeds from the combination of quantitative and qualitative research; from a questionnaire inquiring the expressiveness of the spirituality and its sharing with PCAs, and interviews seven people with CP inquiring their spiritual needs and possibilities of their fulfilling by PCAs. The thesis is focussed on social work with visually impaired clients. The theoretical part deals with eyesight, anatomy, physiology of the eye and various visual defects; further, on personality of handicapped individuals, quality of their lives, provided social assistance, methods of typhlo- rehabilitation and appropriate utensils. The application section searches by means of qualitative research, namely semi-structured interview and observation, complex functioning of an asylum for the handicapped - Home for Visually Impaired Clients PALATA, Prague. The dissertation presents, according to the findings, personalities of the interviewed, their subjective difficulties, the way they cope with the obstacles, their level of contentment, and considers bounds of assistance possibilities from the social background. The diploma thesis deals with the impact of dementia syndrome in clients of social field service on workers in direct care. The thesis connects two theoretical levels, which are closely related to the topic. This is primarily the level of the disease itself with dementia syndrome and the circumstances associated with caring for a sick person. The second level deals with the topic of managing a team of workers in direct care, with a focus on field social services. The research in the sequential variant made it possible to emphasize the moments that are specific in the care of clients with dementia syndrome in the home environment. The intention was to name the stress moments that come with working with a given target group in the home environment. At the core of the pressures mentioned by the respondents, the stress resulting from the unpredictability of the situation was found as a common denominator. It is unpredictability, given the client's illness, in the conditions of the home environment, in which the client is used to making his own decisions, despite the worsened cognition. The diploma thesis The influence of early diagnosis for family of children with ASD deals with problems with autistic spectrum disorders diagnostics. It is focused on families with ASD children. It also maps the period before the diagnosis. The main aim is to show the preceding situation and consequences after the diagnosis of one of the autistic spectrum disorders in the family. The thesis works with both, the psychic impacts influencing family members, but also many other factors. The acquired information is based on the narrative conversation with parents. It speaks about the first displayed symptoms and the attempt to solve the occurring problems. It also speaks about possible seeing doctors, and if so, what specialists and what approaches and diagnoses they met. Last but not least the thesis is interested in those who informed the family about ASD as the first, when it was diagnosed and the change of family life after the diagnosis.

Unmanned aircraft vehicles were primarily used for military purposes and are still used for them. Not only for this reason is their introduction for humanitarian aims disputable, raising various dilemmas. Supporters of humanitarian drones put emphasis on/emphasize their speed, security, data amount and the possible employment of new technology in extreme environments. Critics of humanitarian technologization stress the loss of neutrality and impartiality, politicization and militarization of humanitarian aid. Consensus does not even exist amongst academics in the field. Contemporary literature is primarily targeted on the controversy of dual-usage of UAVs and on potential technical advantages with emphasis on immediate assistance. The literature dealing with ethical issues of humanitarian drones in connection to humanitarian and development practice outside the conflict zone is almost absent, and only marginally or indirectly treats the issue. The diploma thesis deals with the field of the care after quadriplegics in the Czech Republic and the United Kingdom. The aim of the diploma thesis is to describe positive and negative aspects of the care provided to quadriplegics both in Great Britain and the Czech Republic from the point of view of the care users, and subsequently to propose possibilities of improvement of the care in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part explains quadriplegia and outline social and health systems for quadriplegics in the Czech Republic as well as in the United Kingdom. This part includes the description of compensatory aids available for clients, conditions of health and social insurance, rehabilitation care options and financial support in both countries. In the research part, based on data interpretation of the data collected by qualitative research technique (interviews that were implemented with quadriplegics living the Czech Republic and United Kingdom), I analyze the situation of the clients of both social and health systems. These interviews revealed several areas of positive and negative evaluation of the existing situation and highlight possibilities of potential future improvement of the care in the Czech Republic.

Establishment of Chaplaincy Service at the Hospital in Cheb This thesis describes the process of implementation of the hospital chaplain service in a hospital in Cheb, including a description of the obstacles and problems related to organizational culture change in this medical device. The aim of launching this new service was to contribute in improving the quality of services through complementing existing health services with the spiritual dimension of patient care. In the theoretical part the thesis focuses on knowledge about ecumenically-scale pastoral work of the hospital chaplains in the specific environment of hospitals. These findings are derived from publicly available sources - from secondary sources, or from websites. The practical part of the thesis describes the sequential steps that have been made in the implementation of chaplaincy services in Cheb hospital. The practical part contains interview with a professional chaplain, an experienced priest and nurses of Cheb hospital and a subsequent analysis of these interviews. This dissertation looks at selected matters covered by the statutory provisions on the shareholders protection as set out in the Commercial Code. It focuses mainly on the matters contained in Section 196a of the Commercial Code, Section 193 (2) of the Commercial Code, and on the issue of financial assistance. In addition, this dissertation deals with the legal protection of shareholders under the Business Corporations Act which is to take effect on 1 January 2014, and provides a brief outline of how these matters are regulated under certain foreign laws. As well, it provides a comparison with the legal regulations of the European Union. This dissertation is comprised of three sections, each having several parts. The parts are further divided into articles. Section 1 analyses the statutory provisions on the protection of shareholders as given in the Commercial Code, and is divided into four parts.
