Tittle: Childrensˈopinions on Track and Field and their attitudes towards the practices in athletic clubs of Prague 6 (comparative study) Student: Bc. Lucie Drncová Supervisor: PhDr. Aleš Kaplan, Ph.D. Main goals: an investigation of the attitudes and opinions towards Track and Field and athletic practices for school age children in the selected clubs in Prague 6, a monitoring of selected world and Czech popular track and field athletes and also an exploration of the knowledge of important track and field athletes by children in this age group. Methodology: A survey was used in order to meet the main goals of this work. Four athletic clubs from Prague 6 that work with the youth were asked to participate in this survey. N = 154 completed questionnaires were collected. Questionnaires were divided into categories by gender and also by age. The interviewees were between the ages of 8 and 12. The main scope and purpose of the research was to investigate the attitudes, beliefs and motivation of children to do track and field and its various disciplines. Title: Opinions on the involvement of conditioning coaches in soccer Objectives: The aim was to survey opinions involving fitness coaches in soccer and also study the role of fitness coach at selected soccer teams. To meet the main goals we have set a subpart of other goals such as assessing the current state of fitness coaches involved in the preparation of soccer teams in the Czech Republic on the basis of an anonymous survey and also compared with those in some European clubs. Another objective was to determine subpart views of soccer coaches in various competitions in fitness training and the possible inclusion of preparatory athletic exercises, the use of specific resources and training tools in fitness training. Methods: The information needed to achieve the objective of the thesis I received reading the literature. After the pilot survey was modified and standard questionnaire sent along with a cover letter first major coaches 1. Gambrinus league, 2. league coaches selected a lower division and youth coaches. Title: Teachers opinions on athletics teaching at elementary schools in Prague Produced by: Barbora Brezíková Supervisor: PhDr. Aleš Kaplan, Ph.D. Aims: The aim of this diploma thesis was to find the opinions of physical education teachers on athletics teaching at elementary schools located in Prague. In the first place, we have created the questionnaire survey to get the teachers overview. These questionnaires were distributed to teachers of previously selected elementary schools. The questionnaire survey was aimed at determining the percentage of athletic lessons, using athletic disciplines in teaching, background and equipment of individual schools. The thesis also highlights the factors that affect an educational process based on teachers' opinion. In the conclusion of the result part we present a list of improvements that can be used for training athletic disciplines in elementary schools. Methods: In this thesis the questionnaire survey method was used. The teachers of physical education at elementary schools in Prague were the target group. Zdeňka Engelthalerová Goal of Diploma Thesis: The purpose of this study is to investigate attitudes and experiences of teachers towards teaching athletics in primary schools. Methodology: Data was collected in the form of questionnaires adresssed to 72 teachers and 123 pupils of primary schools from Central Bohemian Region. The teachers were questioned about their attitudes towards the quality of sports equipment in their primary schools and their attitudes and experiences towards teaching athletics. Pupils were questioned about their enthusiasm for physical education, especially for athletics. Conclusions: The findings conclude that the quality of sports equipment in primary schools is low and teachers (graduate of Pedf UK) are not well educated in teaching athletics. The findings also conclude that the attitude of teachers towards teaching athletics influences quality of teaching athletics.
