Otherwise I do not act; Participation of personal character in authentic acting, master?s thesis, Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, Theatrefaculty, Prague 2014, 58 pages. In her master?s thesis, the author reflects on the question of definition of authenticity, authentic expression in acting and participation of personal character in the work of actor. After teoretic introduction about interpretation of the Authenticity, the paper is devided to four parts. In these author draws mainly from her personal experiences during studies. In the first part author focuses on her experiences, which are the roots of her natural expression in acting. In the next part, using four plays, author describes acting style, which requires personal approach and personal experiences from an actor. In the third chapter, she examines the process from a different point of view, using the stylized acting example. Three discussions follow, with professional actors who accepted to answer questions regarding this subject.

The master theses is concerned with the authenticity and veracity of actors’s utterance during the creation of characters from different genres. In the first part, the author relies on selected technical literature, through which we get acquainted with the ways actors can theoretically achieve the authenticity and veracity of their utterance using different well-known approaches to create the character. In the second part the theoretical knowledge is confronted with the author’s personal experience as a starting actor. The absolvent productions are used to demonstrate the author’s search for authenticity and veracity in different productions and genres during his work on the characters he embodied in the Disk theatre in the final year of his studies.

The subject of my doctoral thesis is the phenomenon of the authenticity of people?s, specifically TV hosts?, public appearances in the media. The chief impetus, and the field of study itself, was my own experience of working at Czech Television for a year and a half and the necessity of placing that experience in the context of my theatre and teaching work.In the interest of preserving the most authentic possible testimony, the text is written in a narrative style with an emphasis on the subjective view of the author. In the introduction I set out the starting points from which I will explore authenticity in front of the television camera, along with the personal and social context of the phenomenon being studied. I describe the "rules of the game", i.e., the structure and concept of the text. Later I focus on the most significant contemporary views of authenticity, from the ideas of Jean-Jacques Rousseau to the theories of the social construction of reality of Peter Berger and Thomas Luckmann. From social scientific theories, I move on to the authenticity of actors on stage and an analysis of the discipline of Acting with the Inner Partner as a specific case of authentic existence in a public situation. In the third chapter I compare the theory and practice of television broadcasting from the perspective of an actor attempting to perform authentically in the role of TV host. In conclusion, I compare my original hypotheses with the conclusions I reached on my journey from the stage to the television camera and set out their potential significance for the study of authorial acting and authorial creativity.

This master thesis deals with authentic fake, a phenomenon present in viral marketing. After a brief introduction into the issue and clarification of terms, the study aims to find out whether a seemingly authentic video recording of a catchy incident helps a marketing campaign to succeed, that is to say to achieve high sharing figures amongst internet users. In a theoretical part, the thesis elaborates information from technical books, publications and internet sources dealing with authenticity as such, viral marketing and a match they create, an authentic fake in viral marketing. Theoretical findings from these sources are applied in an empirical analysis. Empirical part of the thesis focuses on analyzing 100 most successful viral campaigns of the world. For this purpose, we consider 4 regression models (linear and logarithmic) with 6 different factors including an authenticity factor. Results of the regression analysis allow us to estimate the influence of these factors on video sharing and to answer questions like why do authentic fake campaigns exist and what are the pros and cons of such marketing strategies. At the end, the thesis contemplates on the future of this phenomenon.

My thesis is based on the subject of the impact of theatrical studies and stage performance on young people. In the first part of my thesis I will cover the theory around the genuine and natural ability in young people to perform. The second part of my thesis begins with the details of my research, followed by a description of the preparatory work carried out with my pupils involved in performing, along with audience members and a selection of teachers involved in the field of theatre studies and education. Within my thesis I have tried to capture the journey taken by pupils from my initial meeting within them through to and including their performance. I have also attempted to capture and evidence the moments during their journey where creativity and energy have been very apparent. In addition I have also highlighted what in my view may be some of the prerequisites to enable creativity and expression to take place. I will also evidence the different perspectives of this study and provide comparison within this.

This thesis on Work of Pavel Kohout from 1979 to 1989 deals the period of Kohout's life and work during his exile in Austria. The aim was to find out the main characteristics of Pavel Kohout's prosaic art and also to compare the period critiques and show their contact and different points. The first part focuses on a destiny of Pavel Kohout in chosen decade. The second part examines his novels Nápady svaté Kláry and Hodina tance a lásky together with the memoir-novel Kde je zakopán pes. The final part studies the period critiques and try to point out their similarity or difference. Thanks to analysis, the author found out that in exile Pavel Kohout continues in his poetic style, but his work also evinces the element of autentization. The novels Nápady svaté Kláry and Hodina tance a lásky represent Kohout's ability in fabulation. Value of the memoir-novel Kde je zakopán pes consists in its genre, which places the text on the border between fiction and non-fiction. The author proved that the beletrization of own memories increases the esthetic impact of a text. A comparison of certain critiques showed that a literary criticism looks at Kohout's work inconsistently. Since its origin scenography has been situated among two arts (the visual art and the performing art). Also the visual art itself has been since the 60's of the 20th century in a similar position: experiences of living through as a part of installation (environment since 50's) or focusing more on the action itself (happening, event, performance). In my thesis I mention such examples, when both of these creative worlds cross each other on borders. The themes memory and place included in their works may consist at least of one of these two main levels: 1.) art work with place and its specifics 2.) art work established on personal stories or sharing the experience The most important for me are phenomenon of authenticity and personal experience, (co)fealing and contextuality of the place. The buildings and installations become scenes and scenographies at the same time. The happenings, events, performances become the story. But these art approaches are just shortly mentioned in my thesis, working more like roots, context with the past in contemporary works. I prefer projects intensively close to life to the artificial works. Whether it is about high experience level continuing to the intimate dialogue or sharing the big stories, memory and places, it is done in the context of time-based media, mental maps, site specific, memory, space/site, path, memories and someone who reads (in) it and (re)interpretates that. In my author diploma art project I work with a phenomenon of Being on a visit. Which are the differences and when does it come to coherence among the two key moments — being (still) on a visit and to (already) feel like at home? I´m searching for way how to reflect the place/site, using memory not only of that place/site, but also of the people who knew it — and transforming their interpretations from different personal stories or deformations of the reality (propaganda, idealisation). I focus to make a new environment/landscape, transported to another context. In my art work I am trying to use almost all tools for portraiting the reality. Painting, photography, video, installation, sound, environment, drawing, projection, text, food, performance, dance, ritual and me as the main creator of the dialogue with the visitors.

My diploma thesis Aspects of authenticity in acting examines the authenticity, nature, plausibility and truth in acting and performances or in other various forms of performing arts. All this is based both on my own experience and on theoretical, but not purely scholarly approach. However, this theoretical approach represents my own understanding without any ambition of theory redefinition. Diploma thesis examines, think and also submit claims. All these concepts are demonstrated on my acquired artistic activities and on creation which I was or still I am part of. The diploma thesis is also conceived as a look back, self-reflection, anchor and clarification of matters which of course involve my future and my artistic activities that are not mentioned in this thesis.

The Thesis acquaints consumers with Czech and European legislation regarding food quality and safety. There are also described in detail the supervisory autorities for food authenticity operating in Czech Republic and related terms such as food quality and safety. The following is a pivotal part dedicated to the food authenticity, which describes the problem of food adulteration, including the reasons and methods of food adulteration. The practical part contains the results of inspections of food by SZPI for the year 2015. The analysis of the data is based on the website "Potraviny na pranýři". Another part relates to the evaluation of questionnaire, which focuses on consumers's relationship to authenticity and adulteration of food on the Czech market. The practical part is concludes by the evaluation of set hypotheses.

This dissertation - Aspects of actors work with emphasis on authenticity, Road show as a way to authentic acting, charts behaviour of our Divadlo koňa a motora (Theatre of a horse and a engine). I add here our diaries from wandering with the horse and a caravan in surroundings of Nitra, in the Šluknov region and also in eastern Slovakia. Due to the experience made by wandering itself and acting in front of audience, that is not used to visit theater, I try to find a way to grow up in acting. I also try to name particular problems in actors work, that I was facing up during my studies and praxis. Their possible solutions I try to find in my personal experiences from wandering.
