Authority and conformism; social psychology of Nazism This thesis attends to Nazism from the perspective of social psychology. Its aim is to analyze Nazism by using chosen theoretical concepts of social psychology, namely authority and conformism. The work begins with the presentation of the concept of totalitarianism, when in the first instance the term totalitarianism is generally defined and then the great part of this chapter deals with the concept of totalitarianism in Hannah Arendt's conception. At the end of this chapter there are mentioned some limits of Hannah Arendt's conception. The ideology of Nazism is the content of the next chapter. Autorita a konformismus, sociální psychologie nacismu / Authority and conformism, social psychology of Nazism

Brunerová, Tereza January 2016 (has links)
The theme of my thesis is Conformity and Authority, social psychology of Nazism. The purpose of my thesis is to analyse human behaviour during the Nazi period, in particular human tendency to conformity behaviour and obedience to the authority. I have two main reasons to choose this concrete topic for my thesis. First of all I am psychologist and it is quite interesting for me to explore theme both from law and psychological point of view. Secondly, my great - grandfather was member of resistance during The Second World War. He was executed in concentration camp in 1942. Because of his choice I was personally interested in exploring nonconformal behaviour or heroism. The thesis is divided into ten chapters including The Introduction and The Conclusion. Chapter one is The Introduction and defines basic questions which I would like to answer in my thesis. I also present the structure of whole thesis there. The second chapter concentrates on my family story I mentioned before. I provide there more details about the story of my great- grandfather and consequences of his resolution for my family. Chapter three is devoted to Nazism and is subdivided into four subchapters - Definition, Leader, Rising of Nazism and Antisemitism. In chapter four I concentrate on Conformism. The aim of this chapter is to...

Úloha Svatého stolce v mezinárodních politických vztazích po II. světové válce / The Role of the Holy See in International Political Relations After the Second World War

Hořejší, Jaroslav January 2007 (has links)
Avšak pováleční papežové, především Jan XXIII. a Jan Pavel II., díky své autoritě, vrátili Svatý stolec zpět mezi důležité politické hráče. Apoštolská stolice však nemůže si do budoucna nemůže automaticky mezinárodní vliv nárokovat. Záleží především na jejím hlavním představiteli, jakým způsobem se svým postavením naloží a jaké ambice zasahovat do mezinárodních událostí bude mít.

Téma synovství / Theme of sonhood

Raška, Adam January 2014 (has links)
This Diploma Thesis analyzes crucial works of the Czech and global literary art of the 20th and the 21st century. Jan Balabán's Zeptej se táty (Ask the Daddy), Emil Hakl's Pravidla směšného chování (Etiquette of Ridiculousness), Son of the Regiment by Valentin Katajev, Kerouac's On the Road, Stříbrný vítr (Silver Wind) by Fráňa Šrámek, Letter to His Father by Franz Kafka and The Road by Cormac McCarthy are all analyzed in terms of theme of sonhood. Similarities and differences are both covered. Relation of sonhood, authority and god is crucial, as well as the change of the whole concept of father - son relationship which occurred in the 20th century. The author of the thesis tries to postulate questions concerning sonhood, which in his opinion should the mankind be asking. Yet it is not his ambition to offer resolute and firm answers. The essay is entwined with an autobiographic prose which completes the analytical part in a refreshing way. Both genres contribute to the final outcome, which is a synthesis offering the possibility of grasping theme of sonhood from a brand new perspective, as sonhood is also the main motif of the prosaic part. Main character, the author of the diploma thesis, is dealing with his relationship to his father, and more importantly his father's relationship to his father, i. e....

Elitářství v ošetřovatelství / Elitism in nursing

KUČEROVÁ, Kateřina January 2010 (has links)
The topic ``Elitism in nursing{\crqq} was chosen based on the author´s interest in this issue, which is considered very attractive, and tributary to the present time, when nursing in our country is undergoing a revolutionary change. Nurses gain new competences and become partners of physicians, new legislature related to the profession comes into effect continuously, there is an effort to enhance the prestige of nurses and thereby to increase their status in the eyes of both the medical and general public. As mentioned above, the entire field of nursing, the nursing education system and the nursing profession in our country has been undergoing a fundamental transformation for some time, which places high demands on information, lifelong learning, free access to the latest information on the course of events not only in our country but especially on the international professional scene. Nursing is a field that has multiple layers - from basic nursing care, which is within the competence of nurses, to a specialized nursing and superspecialized care, which requires thanks to advances in nursing science the highest possible level of education. To define the elite of the nursing profession, it is necessary to specify the elite as an exclusive social group. Through this study the author tried to describe the issue of elitism in nursing in a comprehensive form. The objective was to briefly characterize the current situation in terms of the relationship between different groups of nurses and also debate over the question: "What does it take to be a nurse?" Is it the knowledge of an intricate technique or empathic wiping sweat from a patient´s forehead? The new century makes the nurse think about the concept of extended roles in nursing, which should help elevate social status of the profession. A negative feature is that a nurse has been detracted from the kind of work for which she had become a nurse - the nursing care of a patient and the care of basic biological needs of a patient. Due to this aspect, a lot of nurses believe that enhancing the prestige of the nursing profession is not compatible with the term ``menial{\crqq} job relating to nursing. The research outcomes showed that in Czech nursing, there is a status called elitism, and that there are disciplines perceived as exclusive, the relationship between professionalization and elitism was also proved. The research survey noted a big shift in improving communication between nurses and patients compared to the past years, and the author hopes that also a better communication between nurses will contribute to the improvement of relations on both sides, both the exclusive and the so-called common, because a truly elite - exceptional nurse is the one who combines education with a good character.

Autorita rodičů očima adolescentů / Parental authority through adolescents' eyes

Ondráčková, Dagmar January 2011 (has links)
The diploma work in its theoretical part is concerned with the parental authority in the difficult period of adolescence. The first chapter defines the term of authority. To clarify it, individual types of authorities are described and further on, the parental authority is dealt with in detail. Most attention is paid to what affects formation of parental authority the most and in what ways this authority can be kept. The second chapter characterizes adolescence as a very difficult period in the life of every individual. At this stage a man becomes independent. Also, attitudes towards values, morals and authorities are formed, and/or the existing attitudes are changed. The third chapter concentrates on emotional bond. In the beginning I characterize individual types of emotional bonds, aspects of their origin and subsequent changes during the period of adolescence. The emotional bond influences quality of other emotional relations and is related to the stability of the parental educational effect during the whole period of education. The fourth chapter focuses on the educational method in family, which is based on the parent-child emotional relation. Another important factor is educational guidance. Individual types of educational methods in family are described here in detail. From this description it is...
