Generel bezbariérových tras ve městě Šlapanice / General Plan barrierfree routes in Šlapanice

The diploma thesis discusses a formation of the Generel barrier-free routes in Šlapanice. The first theoretical part consists basic information about barrier-free use of a building for people with limited movement and orientation. There are elements which need to be placed in the building or on a route for smooth movement of people with limited mobility, peoples with a stroller and people with visual impairment. Furthermore, there is a focus on technical requirements that ensure barrier-free use of roads and public spaces. Important buildings in Šlapanice are selected in the second practical part. Among the chosen objects there are designed routes with assessing terms of barrier-free. The set of proposed routes connects 24 selected important buildings in the city. It is divided into six parts, one of them leads to the outskirts of Šlapanice towards Bedřichovice. Following is a detailed analysis of these routes, a comparison with a decree, a methodology and a proposal for repairs.

The principal theme of this diploma thesis is a development of Generel for barrier-free routes in Bystřice pod Hostýnem. The thesis focuses on familiarization with a group of people with limited movement and orientation abilities, their comfortable and safe usage of road constructions and public spaces. Theoretical interpretation of this diploma thesis is based on the bylaw No. 398/2009 Coll., on general technical requirements ensuring barrier-free use of the buildings. Theoretical part of the thesis continues by familiarization with the way of movement and orientation of people with limited movement and orientation abilities and their use of features used to simplify pedestrian transportation in the city. The practical part of the thesis is focused on development of proposal for routes connecting important objects of civil amenities in the city of Bystřice pod Hostýnem. Practical part also provides valuation of current status of existing routes and their proposed changes to achieve compliance with bylaw No. 398/2009 Coll., to ensure the maximum safety of barrier-free routes in the city.

This diploma thesis deals with research of barrier-free design requirements in public space for Slovak Republic, Republic of Poland, Federal Republic of Germany and Republic of Austria. Then the main barrier-free design requirements for traffic structures are compared to requirements in Czech Republic. In the second part of this thesis is elaborated Generel of barrier-free routes in the city district of Královo Pole, which contains of creating four routes connecting important obejcts in the city district of Královo Pole. Following is a detailed analysis of those routes, a comparison with a decree, a methodology and a proposal for repairs.

This thesis is aiming on designing of project documentation within the extent of the building Act. This documentation describes the building of family house with external and internal wheelchair access and operational arrangements related to these needs. One of the goals is also familiarization with the building Act as well as with Decree on general technical requirements for the construction. Wheelchair accessibility is wide and complicated subject, where are the requirements for the construction strictly given, therefore the Decree 398/2009 Sb. about the general technical requirements establishing the use of barrier-free buildings has become the starting basis. The building must comply with technical and architectural demands to allow the disabled persons normal usage of the construction.

Subject: Optimal Parameters for Barrier-free Indoor Swimming Pools Focusing on the Needs of People with Limited Motion and Orientation Abilities. Objectives of the thesis: The aim of the thesis is to evaluate the optimal parameters of barier - free indoor swimming pools taking into account the requirements of persons with reduced mobility and orientation; based on the needs of these persons and the current legal standards to list the parameters for the construction and evaluation of swimming facilities in the Czech Republic. Furthermore, to find out views on this topic in the students of the faculties of building. Methods: A questionnaire survey of selected population will be carried out. Furthermore, the methods of a semistandardized interview will be used and a field research in the monitored objects will be implemented. Results: The results will confirm or disprove the predetermined hypotheses and will contribute to understanding the issues. A basis for creating an optimal barrier-free project will be made. The purpose of master’s thesis is to design a building for meeting and relaxation citizens from the nearby surroundings. There is one entrance lead to the object and it is accessible from the eastern boundary of the property. The whole building was designed accessible for people with reduced mobility and orientation.

This work focuses on evaluating the condition of barrier-free routes in the town of Blansko. Another aim of this work is to propose changes of these routes thanks to which they would comply with Decree No. 398/2009 Coll., on general technical requirements ensuring barrier-free use of buildings, and for people with reduced mobility or orientation these routes would be user friendly. Additionaly, it acquaints the reader with technical requirements that ensure barrier-free use of road constructions and public spaces. In the theoretical part, the work acquaints the reader with target group of users for whom well-designed barrier-free spaces are important, introduces the elements and their use and, last but not the least, approaches the way of orientation and movement of target group of users. The practical part evaluates the accessibility of selected routes that connect public amenities. Subsequently, it proposes modifications that aim to facilitate the movement of people with limited mobility and orientation in the street space.

There are two entrances lead to the object and it is accessible from the eastern and western boundary of the property. The whole building was designed accessible for people with reduced mobility and orientation.

This architectural study offers a solution of the Gemini High School‘s new bulding, /Brno Lesná, the bulding site number 202/9, Vaculíkova street/, and shows a new building of a house of culture with a commercial area instead of today’s school /the bulding site number 253/. The new way of car parking and strenghtened areas of this street are included. The building and pulling down of today’s houses and buildings are devided into 2 phases. In the first phase a new barrier – free school building with a possibility of accommodation and flats is designed /building site number 202/9. This bulding has got two entrances. One from the northern part is for a school and the second one in the west is for the tenants. The school area is spread among the first and the third floor (classrooms, canteen, offfices). The fourh floor is used for students‘ accommodation and for a terrace entrance. There are some flats (2+1, 3+ small kitchen, max. area 120 m) from the fifth to the tenth floors. In the underground the are some tenants‘ cellars and technological rooms for school. The renewed car parking for all the tenants, school visitors and others is provided in Vaculíkova street. After the firt phase of building the new school project will go into the second part. In that time the old school will be pulled down and a new house of culture is designed in this place. There will be restaurant, commercial area, cinema, library – café and gym – fitness. On the first floor there are a restaurant, a library – café a cinema. On the second floor there are a gym – fitness and a commercial area. Car parking for the visitors is provided in the underground - 52 cars + 4 handicapped people. The green roof of this house is designed to be comfortable to watch it from the neighbourhood and do not damage the look of this new building.
