Jihočeské národní divadlo ve třicátých letech 20. století / The South Bohemian National Theatre in the 30th of the 20th CenturyŠVESTKOVÁ, Jitka January 2011 (has links)
The main aim of this project is to introduce the developement of the national theatre in České Budějovice in 1930s. We got the important information by reading a few books and mostly from period magazines, newspapers and records stored in the National local archives in České Budějovice. Unfortunatelly, despite thorough search for information we cannot ensure it is all credible. However, we tried hard to create complete a complex overview of drama in those days. First, the project focuses on general description of the theatre conditions, who the manager was, how the theatre flourished as far as finance is concerned or how the drama activities were influenced by other industrial or political circumstances. Then, the other topic is dramatics in each season, choice of plays and their reception. The other parts deal with drama tours and Josef Stejskal, who shifted drama to a higher level in 1930s. In appendix you can find the registers of ensemble members, the overview of repertoire in Jihočeské národní divadlo in each season and also several period photos.

Českobudějovická společnost v 19. století optikou pivní kultury / The Budweiser society in the 19th century from the perspective of beer cultureVávrová, Eliška January 2017 (has links)
This thesis explores the social changes in Budweis in the 19th and in the beginning of the 20th century from a perspective of local beer brewing and hospitality industry. The principles of economic nationalism are examined on the example of interactions of two local breweries. The second part of this thesis focuses on inns and taprooms in Budweis. These are presented as important locations for social life and consumption. A typology of these establishments is prepared based on multiple factors. The mutual relations between establishments and beer suppliers are also investigated. The locations of both breweries' clients is compared with the local population's character in order to investigate to what degree did nationality determine the preference of a given beer brand. Finally, two case studies present the "dark side" of the hospitality industry and they suggest that nationality was not the main influence on the consumers' relation to a given brand or establishment. Key words: Budweis, brewery, beer brewing, public houses and taprooms, nationalism, economic nationalism, history of consumption

Skladby Jana Nepomuka Vocta (1777-1843) ve sbírce hudebnin z katedrály sv. Mikuláše v Českých Budějovicích, studie a edice / The Compositions of Jan Nepomuk Vocet (1777-1843) in the Collection from the St. Nicolaus Cathedral in České Budějovice, a Study and EditionŽIŽKOVÁ, Lenka January 2019 (has links)
A collection of music created mainly in the second half of the 18th century and the first half of the 19th century was found at the choir loft of the Cathedral of St Nicholas in Budweis. Jáchym Štěpánovský and J. N. Vocet were two local composers and choir administrators who primarily helped to create this music collection. Jan Nepomuk Vocet who used to work at the choir of St Nicholas Cathedral was a significant person. He belongs to a lesser - known group of composers at the turn of the period of Classicism and Romanticism and that's why I chose him as the main topic of my diploma theses. The aim of this work is to evaluate Vocet's influence in Budweis music scene, to give an idea of his church music, popularize the chosen pieces of his music in edition and analyse it in detail.

District of Czech Budweis showed the highest incidence of both zoonoses during the monitored period (4,139 cases of salmonellosis and 4,924 cases of campylobacteriosis). Another but not less important zoonotic is tick-borne meningoencephalitis, which incidence had the highest number in South Bohemian Region of all the regions of Czech Republic. The second part of the thesis is based on questionnaire studies focused on awareness of zoonoses and the issue of resistance and overuse of antibiotics. In total 479 questionnaires were evaluated. The survey findings may be equally described as interesting and positive, since the respondents had considerable awareness of the issue of antibiotic resistance.
