Michalíková, Petra January 2019 (has links)
The diploma thesis follows up the area in the center of Náchod along the former textile factory Tepna, which is located at the transition between the historical center and the housing estate. The proposal is based on problem analysis and uses the potential, limits and quailities of the area. The concept is a new urban quarter with a residential block of buildings complemented by civic amenities and high-quality public spaces. The design preserves the existing building of the Bílá Tepna, for which a new functional use is proposed. The proposal is solved with respect to the character of the place, the connection to the surrounding buildings and the emphasis on the preference of pedestrian traffic over the automobile traffic.

Antické tradice v architektuře zámku Kačina / Greek and Roman traditions in Architecture of Chateau Kačina

Matys, Marián January 2011 (has links)
The subject of this paper is the study of history of the Kačina Chateau from the point of view of its inspiration from the art and architecture of the ancient world. The introductory chapters were dedicated to the general atmosphere of the time in which the castle was designed and built, the general ideas of the Enlightenment, and also to its relations to Count Chotek. There is an unresolved problem whether its relations to Classical antiquity monuments existed directly, or if they were mediated by other sources. While working on the theme it turned out that the foundation of Kačina Chateau derived from earlier models that were developed during centuries. The work of Marcus Vitruvius Pollio was of substantial importance for all Classicist architecture and especially the architects of the Renaissance knew it very well and used it frequently. For the architecture of Kačina Chateau the most important stimuli were those of Andreas Palladio who transformed earlier patterns according to his own artistic views. One of the following chapters concentrates on the personality of the owner of the estate, the Count Jan Rudolf Chotek, and then on the architects and builders of the castle. Following chapters are dedicated to the description of the castle, of its exterior, the segmentation of its interior...

Les restaurations du décor sculpté du château de Blois au XIXe siècle à travers l'étude de son fonds lapidaire / The restorations of the decorative patterns of the Château de Blois in the 19 th [nineteenth] century through the analysis of its lapidary collection

Chaumier-Bouron, Morgane 22 March 2016 (has links)
Le château de Blois est ainsi un chantier-modèle, tant par l’exemplarité des restaurations dont il est l’objet que par l’intégration, assumée, du XIXe siècle à son histoire / Classified on the first list of “Historic Monuments” and the first civil building to have its restoration requested and funded by the French State, the Chateau of Blois was the object of two renovation programmes starting in 1843 and respectively supervised by Félix Duban (1797-1870) and Anatole de Baudot (1834-1915). An outstanding synthesis of the history of French architecture, the chateau was also the experimenting field for various techniques, methods and approaches of restoration appearing in the 19th century and stimulating the national debate, in which Viollet-le-Duc played a major role. These unique inventory and analysis of the lapidary collection of the Chateau of Blois, to which are added the studies, the mock models, and the plaster casts of the decorative patterns before their restoration, allow to renew the knowledge about the carved décor of the Louis XII’s and the Francis I’s wings. This study puts into perspective the plaster casts, the stones taken off the facades, the present facades, the manuscript and iconographic sources, and it hereby brings to light the specificities of each restoration campaign, their differences and their complementarity. It highlights two different perceptions of the Renaissance and the way they were expressed in the stone by the 19th-century architects. Thus, thanks to its exemplary restoration and the way it integrated the 19th century into its own history, the Chateau of Blois acts as a true model for restoration campaigns

Systémy TZB v nemovitých památkách / The systems of building services in immovable heritage

Maurerová, Lenka Unknown Date (has links)
The present PhD. thesis deals with the systems of building services (namely heating, ventilating and air conditioning, shading) which provide required indoor microclimate inside the immovable heritage. The work thus combines the exclusively technical field of building services (BS) and the general principles of heritage conservation. The aim of my PhD. thesis is the analysis of immovable heritage conservation processes, focusing on the current state of research and BS systems documentation. Furthermore the work concerns the possibilities of temporary measurements of indoor climate parameters inside the immovable heritage, and aims to develop a computer model (in BSim software) for the simulation of various working conditions in the selected buildings. For the stated aims were selected three representative historic houses: historical assembly hall at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Brno University of Technology; the Palm Greenhouse at Lednice Chateau in Moravia; and Villa Tugendhat in Brno. These buildings had been surveyed for several years, and in this PhD. thesis I present their analysis, evaluation, and conclusions. The aims of this PhD. thesis broadly correspond to the transnational objectives. The present research is, for example, in accordance with the international document ICOMOS Charter (Zimbabwe, 2013) which is concerned with the analysis, conservation, and restoration of architectural heritage. The research of immovable heritage is also supported by European Union, e.g. by the Seventh Framework Programme of EU.
