Vliv dlouhodobých změn atmosférické cirkulace na pozorované trendy přízemních klimatických prvků v ČR a Evropě / The influence of long-term changes of atmospheric circulation on observed trends of surface climatic elements in the Czech Republic and Europe

Cahynová, Monika January 2010 (has links)
(English) RNDr. Monika Cahynová: The influence of long-term changes of atmospheric circulation on observed trends of surface climatic elements in the Czech Republic and Europe The aim of this thesis is to quantify the links between recent atmospheric circulation changes over Europe and local surface climatic trends. We employ several parallel classifications of circulation types that were collected and developed within the COST733 Action "Harmonisation and Applications of Weather Types Classifications for European Regions". To our knowledge, such a comparative approach has not been used so far. Atmospheric circulation changes over Europe were studied in terms of changing seasonal frequency and persistence of daily circulation types in the second half of the 20th century. The extensive collection of both subjective and objective catalogues of circulation types in European regions from the COST733 Action served as a platform for comparison of different classification methods, varying numbers of circulation types, and spatial scale of circulation processes. The most prominent trend - winter increase in the number of days with westerly flow - clearly stems from the strengthening of the North Atlantic Oscillation. The objective classifications did not show any systematic change of persistence of...

Kardiovaskulární komplikace u pacientů s chronickým renálním onemocněním. / Cardiovascular complications in patients with end-stage renal disease.

Valeriánová, Anna January 2019 (has links)
Patients with end-stage renal disease frequently suffer from cardiovascular complications. Many factors contribute to their development: hyperkinetic circulation caused by anaemia, fluid retention and by presence of dialysis arteriovenous access; metabolic changes leading to acceleration of atherosclerosis and increase of vascular stiffness and also fluctuation of blood pressure and organ perfusion during haemodialysis, that cause repeated tissue hypoxia. We performed our research on patients in chronic haemodialysis programme. The project studying long-term patency of dialysis access showed that dialysis graft patency is negatively influenced by presence of coronary artery disease and low serum concentrations of cholesterol. In our studies about tissue hypoxia we proved that haemodialysis patients suffer from hypoxia of cerebral tissue and muscle tissue of the dialysis access arm, and that the hypoxia worsens during dialysis. Factors associated with brain hypoxia are presence of heart failure, higher BNP levels and higher erythrocyte distribution width. One of the serious consequences of brain hypoxia is development of cognitive deficit. Among the negative impact of haemodialysis on the heart, we observed left atrial dysfunction, which is a consequence of long-term remodelling and cannot be...

Využití klasifikací atmosférické cirkulace v interpretaci výstupů z klimatických modelů / The application of atmospheric circulation classifications in the interpretation of climate model outputs

Stryhal, Jan January 2018 (has links)
The application of atmospheric circulation classifications in the interpretation of climate model outputs Mgr. Jan Stryhal Automated (computer-assisted) classifications of atmospheric circulation patterns (circulation classifications, for short) constitute a tool widely used in synoptic and dynamic climatology to study atmospheric circulation and its link to various atmospheric, environmental, and societal phenomena. The application of circulation classifications to output of dynamical models of the atmosphere has developed considerably since the pioneering studies about three decades ago, reflecting rapid development in statistics, computing technology, and-naturally-climatological research, increasingly more and more dependent on simulations of the atmosphere, facing the paradigm of anthropogenic climate change. An uncoordinated use of various statistical approaches to analyzing output of global climate models (GCM) or their various ensembles, and an arbitrary selection of circulation variables, spatial and temporal domains, and reference datasets, have contributed to a need for a comparative study, which would shed some light on the sensitivity of studies dealing with an intercomparison of circulation classifications in two datasets to subjective choices. The present thesis responds to this need...

Časová stabilita vlivů 11-letého slunečního cyklu na cirkulační poměry ve střední Evropě / Temporal stability of effects of the 11-year solar cycle on circulation conditions in central Europe

Paličková, Lea January 2015 (has links)
Temporal stability of effects of the 11-year solar cycle on circulation conditions in central Europe Abstract The aim of this master thesis is to determinewhether circulation conditions in central Europe are affected by variable solar activity. Circulation type classification by Beck (2000) is used here to evaluate the solar effects. Circulation characteristics of circulation are available back to 1780. This master thesis proves that the solar cycle effects on circulation conditions in central Europe are not stationary in time. It was demonstrated that the frequency of individual circulation types varies significantly, depending on the length of studied period. The impact of solar variability on circulation conditions in central Europe is more significant when a shorter time period is being considered. It was also found that the response of circulation characteristics on solar variability is not immediate. There have not been clear results if there exists a linear trend on lagged response of solar variability on circulation characteristics. Linear trend has been found only for a whole year dataset with a lagged response within a year. This thesis proves that the solar cycle effects on troposphere are highly variable, so it is very difficult to define them straightforward. Keywords: atmospheric circulation,...

Generování náhodných čísel pomocí magnetických nanostruktur / Random number generator based on magnetic nanostructures

Jíra, Roman January 2015 (has links)
Random number generation can be based on physical events with probabilistic character, or on algorithms that use complex or one-way functions, alternatively on both of these approaches. A magnetic vortex is a basic state of magnetization that forms in magnetic micro- and nanostructures of an appropriate shape, dimensions and material. Quantities of the magnetic vortex form randomly if ambient conditions are chosen eligibly. A concept of a true random number generator using a random switching of states of the magnetic vortex is presented in this thesis. This concept is realized and random numbers were experimentally generated and numbers were statistically analysed.

Modelování atmosférické cirkulace exoplanet / Modelling of exoplanetary atmospheric circulation

Novák, Jiří January 2014 (has links)
In this thesis we study the properties of exoplanetary atmospheres. The first part describes methods and instruments for searching exoplanets, statistics of discovered exoplanets and the sampling factor. The second part describes the properties of chosen planets and moons in the Solar system (Venus, Mars and Titan) and also possible properties of the exoplanetary atmospheres that are only briefly understood. The third part describes the atmospheric models which incorporate full 3D model of the atmosphere, dynamical core, shallow-water model and 1D spherically-symmetric model. We also show the results of exoplanetary atmospheric models published in the scientific journals. This part also describes the icosahedral geodetic grid that is advantageous for the global climatic models, and also discretisation on sphere and the application of the operators (gradient, divergence, vorticity) on geodetic grid. The fourth part discusses results of the numerical solution of the atmospheric circulation with the forcing on geodetic grid. In this part we also show global maps of the variables after a particular time of the numerical integration and also the evolution of the variables at chosen points in time. In the discussion part we examine the results of our program. The results of the numerical integrations (chosen...
