Desempenho de diferentes revestimentos em brochas de aço rapido / Performance of differents coatings on high speed steel broachs

O presente trabalho avaliou a utilizacao de coberturas de materiais mais resistentes ao desgaste em brochas de aco rapido no brochamento interno de perfil, utilizando como corpo de prova o componente do conjunto de disco de embreagem denominado cubo de embreagem, fabricado em aco DIN C45. Foram realizados ensaios variando-se tres tipos de revestimentos, TiN, TiCN e AlCrN, e dois tipos de substratos, o aco rapido convencional M2 e o aco rapido sinterizado. Foram medidos o desgaste e a vida da ferramenta, a pressao no sistema hidraulico da brochadeira e a dimensao do perfil interno do corpo de prova. A analise dos resultados permitiu concluir que as brochas com cobertura apresentaram uma maior vida, quando comparado com as brochas sem cobertura, mesmo quando a brocha e reafiada e nao recoberta, trabalhando sem cobertura na superficie de saida. Entre as coberturas, o TiCN e AlCrN foram que apresentaram melhor rendimento, apesar da pequena vantagem da cobertura de TiCN, nao foi possivel afirmar estatisticamente que existe diferenca entre as duas coberturas. A utilizacao da cobertura, ao contrario do esperado, causou aumento na pressao do sistema hidraulico da brochadeira para os tres tipos de cobertura. Nao ocorreu grandes diferencas, em relacao a vida da ferramenta, quando comparou-se as brochas com substratos de aco rapido convencional e o sinterizado. Ficou constatado que a dimensao do perfil nao sofre grande variacao durante uma vida da ferramenta. / Abstract: The high speed steels is a material with high wear resistance and high hot hardness, with large application to made tools with complex shape and dimension. The present work evaluated the application of wear resistance materials on high speed steel broach in broaching of profile, using like specimen a clutch component denominated hub, made DIN C45 steel. It has been made three different tests varying the coatings, TiN, TiCN and AlCrN, two different substrates, the conventional high speed steel M2 and the powder metallurgy high speed steel. Tool wear, tool life, pressure in the broaching machine hydraulic system and the profile dimension were measured. The analysis of the results allowed us to conclude that the broaches with coating led to a longer tool life than the condition without coating, the same happened when the broach was resharpened and didn't receive a new coating, working without coating in the rake face. Between the coatings, the TiCN and AlCrN have shown the best performances, although TiCN has a little advantage, it wasn't possible to say statistically that there is a difference between them. The use of coating, in the opposite was waiting, has cause the increase of the pressure in the broaching machining hydraulic system for the three kinds of coatings. Didn't occur much difference at the tool's life when comparing the conventional high speed steel and the powder metallurgy high speed steel substrates.
