The critical reflection as a key element in the improvement of the organizational learning capacity: a case study in a Brazilian organizationRamos, Ricardo Luiz de Souza 08 1900 (has links)
This paper analyzes the relevance of having an environment that encourages critical reflection in a way to enhance organizational learning capacity. It focuses particularly on the organization's ability to deal with organizational cross-cutting issues (human resources, information technology, innovation, etc.) on a state-owned enterprise, the Development Bank, in Brazil. Although the bank has a culture of collegiate decisions, it´s possible to say that this feature is not enough to have an authentic and public reflection environment due to the power relations influence in the organization's ability to reflect, innovate and learn. / Dissertação (mestrado) - Lancaster University, Reino Unido, 2015. / Bibliografia: p. 67-69.

Uma proposta de modelo de aprendizagem problematizadora no ensino de engenharia de produção com foco no desenvolvimento do pensamento crítico / A proposed of model of problem-learning in engineering production education focusing on the development of critical thinkingCamila Regiane Marques Pereira 26 July 2012 (has links)
The problematization is a way of explicit, proposing the contradictions present in reality, and in the Knowledge Society that values for skills and critical thinking, it is increasingly enhanced, because it works complex issues associated with reality problems. There are research that pointing with various nomenclatures how to conceive and adopt problematizing strategies in the educational processes, however, few research in the area of Production Engineering instruction presents guidelines for teachers, based on them, can develop their pedagogical proposals allowing a significant learning and critical thinking. Accordingly, the objective of this research is to present a model of problematizing learning, in a context of presence and virtual learning, providing opportunities for significative learning, as well as evaluating the development of critical thinking of learners. The model is based on a bibliographic review of theories, concepts and practices of the Problematization Methodology and Experiential Learning Cycle, and its application follows with an action-research with students from a discipline of the graduate program in Production Engineering in a public university in the state of São Paulo. Indicators of critical thinking identified in the literature and adapted to the research, were analyzed by carrying out various activities, assignment and discussions of the proposed learners as the model of problematizing learning. The results show that problematizing known situations or extracted from the social reality of the students to understand the academic content turns learning into a meaningful moment in which the student becomes an active agent in the process of knowledge construction and, therefore, develops in indexes significantly positive of critical thinking.

Den kritiska Messengergenerationen : En studie om politiska diskussioner i sociala medier samt skolans roll i att forma kritiskt tänkande individerEriksson, Amanda January 2015 (has links)
The purpose of the study is to explore how social media can be used as a forum to discuss politics and also how young people use critical reflection to evaluate the information available on social media. To achieve the purpose, a qualitative research is used. The empirical data is collected through semi-structured interviews with six high school students who voted in the Swedish parliamentary elections in/of 2014. The empirical data were then analyzed based on previous research on social media, and the school's mission to foster individuals who think critically. The analysis is also based on the theory of deliberative democracy model. The study shows that social media can be used as a platform for political discussions but it is in a large extent characterized by mudslinging between the sides for and against the various political elements. The survey also shows that the interviewed students do not understand the implications of source criticism. Instead they use critical thinking to determine what is a good or a bad source. The study shows that the deliberative democracy model cannot be applied to social media in its present form, but should be seen as an ideal image of how a deliberative democracy should work.

Čtenářský koutek a jeho role v rozvoji čtenářské pregramotnosti / Reading corner and his role in reading preliteracyVohralíková, Zuzana January 2016 (has links)
This thesis is in its theoretical part focusing on reading literacy, reading pre-literacy, projects to promote literacy in the Czech Republic and reading corner in kindergarten. The research is based on qualitative research using a strategy of multiple case studies of purposely chosen kindergartens and methods of observation, interviews and content analysis. The aim of this research was to determine how and for what purpose the reading corner in kindergartens is used. The basic research questions are: How the reading corners help in the development of reading literacy in kindergartens, specific research questions elaborate it as follows: How can reading corner be equipped in kindergarten; how kindergarten schools receive books and magazines; how well do they know today's market offerings; what activities are implemented in reading corner in kindergarten; what led the teacher / director to create a reading corner; how does children feel about the reading corner themselves. The results showed a diverse approach to the phenomenon of kindergarten reading corner. Kindergartens agreed on the positive impact of reading corners on the development of reading pre-literacy of girls and boys, especially in the case of free children's games, as well as in controlled activities. We can indicate a weak spot in a lack of...

Strategie předvídání a její místo ve výuce literární výchovy na 1.stupni ZŠ / Strategy of predicting and its role in teaching literature in primary schoolsJamburová, Tereza January 2016 (has links)
The thesis deals with predicting, as one of the basic reading strategies applied through out the reading lessons in primary school. The major objective of this study is to identify the main principles of successful application of this strategy in the field, in the terms of all three involving aspects: the teacher, the student and the text. The thesis consists of a theoretical and empirical part. The theoretical part defines the key principles of the mental process when the reader is making predictions. This part deals with the theoretical framework and analyzes related terms to that issue. The practical part presents gathered data from the action research that involves plans of model reading lessons aimed at the strategy of predicitng and my own teaching practice that has been finally reflected. The results of this research provide some support for teachers who decide to implement the strategy into their literature lessons. Metakognisie, intrinsieke prestasiemotivering en kritiese denke as korrelate van akademiese sukses onder eerstejaar-sielkundestudente (Afrikaans)Lemmens, Juan-Claude 22 May 2007 (has links)
The number of students that apply for studies at South African universities has increased dramatically over the past years, but the resources of the universities have stayed the same. It is therefore imperative that academic performance can be predicted on a short- and long-term basis. The Developing Expertise model might be able to predict academic performance on a short- and long-term basis. This study focussed primarily on academic performance on short-term basis by focussing on three of the model’s elements. The three elements that were investigated were: metacognition, intrinsic motivation and critical thinking. One of the contributions of this study is the refinement of some of the elements of the expertise model. The study helped to determine the validity of the instrument in a South African context. The measurement instrument can also be used as a selection meganism on short-term basis. In order to measure each of the elements of the expertise model, a measuring tool consisting of five questionnaires was compiled. A convenience sample of first year psychology students provided 326 students for the study. A second sample, compiled from the original sample, consisting of 209 first year students was used for the multiple regression analyses. These students are registered for psychology for the first time in 2005. The students were placed in three groups according to the student’s means of registering for the CBT centre. The first group was those students who completed the instrument on computers. The second group consisted of those students who completed a paper and pencil version of the measurement. The third group consisted of the Mamelodi students. These students completed a paper and pencil version of the measurement and brought it back a week later. The statistical analysis included factor analysis, correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis. Based on the literature research and the results of the statistical analysis, the expertise model was expanded to include metamemory as the functional unit for metacognition. Motivation can be divided in three subcomponents, namely: self-efficacy, intrinsic value and test anxiety. The motivational component, knowledge of cognition and external control can be used as predictors of academic performance on a short-term basis. The findings of this study can only be used as a selection meganism of academic performance on a short-term basis and therefore the results must be used with caution. / Dissertation (MA (Psychology))--University of Pretoria, 2007. / Psychology / unrestricted
