Marečková, Dana January 2016 (has links)
The purpose of this thesis is to elucidate what online profiling is, what happens with users' or customers' personal data during this process, how these activities interfere with the individuals' right to privacy, what the legal regulation in this field is, whether the privacy interests of individuals are sufficiently protected and if not, how the situation might be improved. The notion of right to privacy is explained and other interests that have to be balanced with privacy are mentioned as well. Ochrana osobních údajů v pracovněprávních vztazích / Personal data protection in labour-law relationschips

Valachová, Tereza January 2016 (has links)
The submitted thesis deals with personal data protection in the context of labour-law relationships. This is an actual and discussed issue in current society, which has constitutional aspects as well. Due to the extensiveness of the topic, the aim of this thesis is not giving a comprehensive explanation of the personal data protection in labour-law relationships area. My effort is to perform the reader with this issue from the general introduction including a survey of the legislation and explanation of main concepts to outlining the fundamental principles of the legislation and focusing more thoroughly on the several selected questions. The thesis itself is divided into four chapters. In my thesis I am trying to point out to the most important court decisions and also the opinions of The Office for Personal Data Protection and The Article 29 Working Party. In the first chapter I deal with the concept of privacy, because I consider it to be a "foundation stone" of the whole issue of personal data protection. This chapter demonstrates how the concept of privacy has developed in the course of time, in the next chapter the legislation of privacy protection and, as well, a conflict with other values are pointed out. In the second chapter I focus on the legislation of privacy and personal data...

Secure distribution of open source information

Rogers, Jason Lee 12 1900 (has links)
Approved for public release, distribution is unlimited / Cryptographic protocols provide security services through the application of cryptography. When designing a cryptographic protocol, the requirements are, often, specified informally. Informal specification can lead to incorrect protocols from misinterpreting the security requirements and environmental assumptions. Formal tools have been shown to reduce ambiguity. In this paper, a cryptographic protocol, called the Secure Open Distribution Protocol (SODP), is developed to provide authentication services for open source information. A formal development process is proposed to aid in the design of the SODP. The Strand Space method has been selected as the formal mechanism for specifying requirements, architecting a protocol design, and assuring the correctness of the protocol. First, the informal authentication requirements are modeled as agreement properties. Next, Authentication Tests, a Strand Space concept, are introduced to aid in the design of the SODP. Finally, a formal proof is constructed to assure that the SODP has satisfied all requirements. The result of the development process proposed in this paper is a cryptographic protocol that can be used to securely distribute open source information. Also, the Strand Space method is demonstrated as a viable option for the formal development of a cryptographic protocol. / Civilian, Federal Cyber Corps
