Optimalizace informačního systému pro zdravotnické účelySemrád, Petr January 2015 (has links)
SEMRAD, P. Optimizing information system for medical purposes. Brno, 2015. Di-ploma thesis. Mendel University. The thesis concerns about the extensive problem of optimization of out-dated information system in medical facilities including establishing a convenient proce-dure and a realization of solutions. It conducts a detailed description of contempo-rary principle of functioning, which creates an initial point for external analysis of the society and SWOT analysis of the whole optimization project. Collected data, from a set of professional consultations about analysing the present and future operating principle of the main processes within the ambulatory episodes, serve as a jumping board for specification, creation of a concept and simulation of the total innovative changes including a realization of the material data baseline of the sys-tem. The output of the thesis are created UML diagrams simulated on the basis of requirements of all of the concerned users, furthermore the formulation and eval-uation of the whole project's risk, the economic backflow in the case of realization and a partial implementation of the designed solution in a form of creation of the material data baseline. The output also contains a calculation, which digestedly reflects the total financial expenses of project's realization and as well as both the annually saved optimization's expenditures on the contrary.

Implementace Business Intelligence řešení nad daty z provozu parkoviště / Business Intelligence implementation on top of parking lot traffic dataMachat, Sebastian January 2017 (has links)
In the world of increasing car sales and limited count of available parking spaces it is hard to imagine the parking space management issues would fade away anytime near. In a simi-lar way the Business Intelligence holds its position as one of the continuous trends in company IT environment. After the parking space navigation systems started to make its first appearance into the public parking lots, it started to be clear that their outputs could be potentially used to gain new information about the way the drivers behave and how the parking space is being used. That is the reason this thesis covers the field of acquirement of data from the parking space navigation system and its initial analytical use using the BI tools. Following the theoretic introduction of both Business Intelligence and BI project management comes the detailed info about the parking space navigation systems & the parking lot covered in the practical part of this text. These are followed by details of how the data collection procedures and navigation system data processing should be handled to allow building and filling of the data warehouse. On top of this DWH the analytic layer is both designed & implemented, followed by reports providing the information parking space owner requested. As the data warehouse contains a lot of additional data with expected possible use in the analytic processing, ie. using data mining tools, the last part of the thesis covers specifying single research question about the data available, which is later confirmed/denied using statistical analysis.

Analýza platformy SAP NetWeaver Business Intelligence 2004s / Analysis of SAP NetWeaver Business Intelligence 2004sMichna, Petr January 2008 (has links)
This diploma thesis deals with the analysis and evaluation of one of the most important Business Intelligence platform in the BI market -- SAP NetWeaver Business Intelligence 2004s. The main objective of the analysis is to provide reader with very comprehensive theoretical and practical platform overview that is based among others on valuable implementation of SAP NetWeaver BI sample application. The sample application not only allows better understanding of the platform, but also provides significant inputs to evaluation final phase. This evaluation is based on a metric system, which is defined as a part of this thesis as well. The evaluation result is then, apart from the quantitative quality interpretation of analyzed platform, included in a quality comparison (some areas) with BI platforms Oracle and Open Source Pentaho, whose evaluation and comparison have been made in diploma thesis [VÁLEK, 2008]. At the end of this thesis is then provided an overview of SAP NetWeaver Business Intelligence 2004s strengths and weaknesses.

This dissertation thesis deals with the topic of Business Intelligence and Balanced Scorecard and its use in České odborné nakladatelství, s.r.o., a relatively small company of 29 employees, which publishes magazines about business, gastronomy, textile, foods, hotels etc. The first part of my thesis describes the BI and BSC theoretically and offers a methodical basis for the following chapters. It gives the reader a definition and structure of BI, with access to a Data Warehouse including the fundamentals of building an OLAP database. It furthermore explains what BSC is, which perspectives use and what a strategic map is. The theoretical chapters of my paper will draw conclusions about the use of BI and BSC and the links between them. The practical, hands-on, chapters continue with the actual application of BI and BSC in the afore-mentioned ČON, s.r.o. It describes the goals and ambitions of the company, which are further on divided into individual strategic goals and metrics, fragmented into perspectives of the BSC and portrayed in a strategic map. Upon analyzing the demands of the company a BI framework is created, data sources are identified, Data Warehouse are designed and brought into effect. In the end a multidimensional OLAP cube is created with MS SQL Server 2008. Finally, there is a MS Excel 2007 explanation and interpretation of the measured values (reporting), which is taken from the available sources of ČON, s.r.o. and is compared against the set strategic goals and metrics of the company. The results of this thesis are based on actual demands of the company and are ready to be implemented and used in real-life.
