The dissertation is devoted to the study of the properties of diatomite of the Ilyinsky Deposit for the purpose use it in the production of heat-insulating mixtures (HIM). These mixtures are used to reduce heat losses from the metal surface during casting. The technology of production of a heat-insulating mixture on the basis of Ilyinsky diatomite is developed. Efficiency of its application is shown. / Исследование посвящено изучению свойств диатомита Ильинского месторождения с целью применения его в производстве теплоизолирующих смесей. Эти смеси применяют для снижение тепловых потерь с поверхности металла при его разливке. Разработана технология производства теплоизолирующей смеси на основе ильинского диатомита и показана эффективность его применения.
