The main result of this thesis is that we prove certain versions of Ilmanen's lemmma. That means - given semiconvex (or locally semiconvex) function f1 and semiconcave (or locally semiconcave) function f2 such that f1 ≤ f2 we find a function f such that f1 ≤ f ≤ f2 and f is both semiconvex and semiconcave (or locally uniformly differentiable). We also give characterization (via a new variation) of those functions which are the difference of two ω-nondecreasing functions 1

Modeling of quantile curves is a common problem across various fields in today's practice. The topic of this thesis is estimating quantile curves in case of two-sample gradual change. That is, when a relationship between two continuous variables in two samples is of interest, where the relationship is the same for both samples until a certain value of the explanatory variable. From that point on the relationship can differ. The result of this thesis is a procedure for estimating quantile curves, which fulfill this concept. 1

Concepts from graph theory in primary school mathematic curriculum Ing. Tatiana Mutinová, 2014 Abstract This diploma thesis is focused on graph theory, especially on the concepts that are used in primary school mathematic curriculum. Furthermore it shows the reasons why it is necessary to include these graph concepts in young pupil's education. In the theoretical part, basic terms and definitions from chosen parts of graph theory are mentioned and few examples demonstrate how the applications of graph theory can help with solving real-life situations. The practical part summarized the current use of some graph theory concepts in primary school mathematic curriculum. This part also includes the demonstration of the graded series of problems and the sheets of exercises that could be usable in introducing and practising of some graph concepts. The experiment with mosaics, that was carried out within this diploma thesis, is an illustration how to connect mathematical and non-mathematical world and how to integrate research activities in young pupil's education. Title: Influence of defined olfactory stimuli to selected physiological parameters Objectives: Comparing the effect of inhibiting and stimulating scents on the chosen physiological parameters during a 20 minute long inhalation. The thesis is searching for the possible affections to cardiovascular system and to reactibility of the neuromuscular system of the aromatherapy. Methods: 10 individuals participated on the trial, 5 females and 5 male. As the inhibiting scent we chose essential oil of Lavandula angustifolia and as the stimulating scent Rosmarinus officinalis. The observed physiological parameters was heart rate, blood pressure, present emotional state using the Visual Analogue Mood Scale by Stern, results of the Petries' test and standing on two scales test. The chosen application form of the essential oils was inhalation. The observed parameters were recorded before the application of scents, in the 10th and 20th minute of the application and 20 minutes after the end of application. We used the method of comparison. With statistical analysis we compared the results of the mentioned tests and diagnostic methods before and after application each of the odors. This thesis deals with the introduction of function of two variables and differential calculus of this function. This work should serve as a textbook for students of elementary school's teacher. Each chapter contains a summary of basic concepts and explanations of relationships, then solved model exercises of the topic and finally the exercises, which should solve the student himself. Thesis have transmit to students basic knowledges of differential calculus of functions of two variables, including practical knowledges.

Diploma thesis "Health care expenditures- future prospects and current situation" is focused on three areas linked to health care expenditures in EU and USA. First area, health expenditures financing, is analyzed in first chapter of the thesis. In the chapter, the development of modern health systems from its beginnings to 2014 is described. Second chapter is based on statistical hypothesis testing- paired two-sample t-tests. Firstly, share of health expenditures on GDP in 2000 and 2014 is tested. Secondly, share of public financing on health expenditures in 2000 and 2014 in tested. Third chapter explores influence of demography factors on health care expenditures and tests structure of health care expenditures in 2004 and 2013.

The thesis deals with experimental research of mechanism of liquid breakup at twin-fluid atomizers. Four different atomizers were examined at the beginning of the research. Two of them were of standard design (Y-jet and effervescent nozzles), and the rest two atomizers were developed as a part of the thesis (so called CFT and inversed effervescent atomizers). Results show that only the inversed effervescent atomizer was capable of generating stable spray under examined conditions due to the specific breakup mechanism. This mechanism is similar to what was observed in effervescent atomizers. However, the mixing process inside the inversed effervescent atomizer is very different. The specific breakup mechanism was then defined as the main scope of the thesis. It was investigated by the high-speed imaging. The images were then processed by proper orthogonal decomposition and by fast Fourier transformation. Spray spatial development was examined using phase Doppler anemometer. The data was analyzed to describe the dynamics of the spray. A detailed description of the breakup mechanism is made from the combination of the experimental and post-processing techniques. The thesis brings new insight into the understanding of the liquid breakup mechanism and shows a potential for a further development of the inversed effervescent atomizer.

In this thesis, I introduce two types of circularly polarized rectangular microstrip antennas at 2.44 GHz. First type has direct fed and the second has two inputs for fed. In first case is used a stub to make the frequency with minimum return loss and equal to the frequency with minimum axial ratio. In second case is use the power splitter to divide the wave in to two lines with phase shift 90° for feeding the patch. In this thesis is described, how to get the best results of Axial Ratio.

This thesis examines the influence of advertisers on the content of printed motoring magazines through the method of quantitative content analysis. The thesis asks whether an increasement of advertising can or can not influence media's reporting on advertisers' products. The thesis examines three Czech printed motoring magazines: Svět motorů, Automobil revue and auto motor a sport. The theoretical part deals with the dual-market topic, in other words the theory of two types of media's customers: paying readers and paying advertisers. They can - and according to the theory they often do - differ in their interests. The advertiser is interested in showing his products in the media in the best possible light, on the contrary, the reader is interested in being informed as objectively as possible. The theoretical part is based mainly on McQuail (2009) and Jirák and Köpplová (2015), who deal, inter alia, with the dilemma of two customers. Part of the theory is devoted to several other research which have examined the same topic; e. g. in the context of Italian fashion magazines. Evaluation of China's population policy Abstract This thesis discusses China's population policy and its aim is to evaluate various programs and analyze their effectiveness. The methodological part describes the base of data and indicators by which the influence of population policy can be measured. The literary review is followed by an analytical part that deals with the development of fertility in the context of population policies, postponing marriage and changing reproductive plans, which are crucial for future policy development. The effectiveness of these programs in China is assessed by comparing the effectiveness of policies in Vietnam and Japan, as well as using selected indicators. An integral part of the thesis is an analysis of the consequences of policies and an outline of possible future development. Based on the results of the analysis, China's population policy has been effective as it has achieved its goal of reducing fertility. On the other hand, the one-child policy has caused many negative consequences, which the new universal two-child policy introduced in 2016 aims to reduce.
