A pesquisa partiu da formação dos clubes sociais e esportivos no final do século passado e início deste. Na exploração deste contexto, verificou-se a organização dos clubes até a formação da Federação Desportiva Paranaense, na década de 40, que auxiliou na sistematização dos eventos esportivos no Paraná e as leis federais que regulamentaram o esporte no país. Mas foi a partir da década de 50, com uma presença mais ativa do Estado, no sistema esportivo, que a estrutura esportiva sofreu alterações significativas. Portanto, a questão central levantada no trabalho é a mudança da estrutura esportiva que se deu na década de 50 e suas implicações posteriores na sociedade paranaense, considerando se principalmente as tensões existentes entre as necessidades dos indivíduos que se organizavam nos clubes e os interesses do governo em oferecer à sociedade um modelo de administração mais presente. Aprofundou-se então neste estudo, as relações entre a ação do Estado e a estrutura esportiva desenvolvida no interior da sociedade. Para tanto, buscou-se o entendimento das propostas governamentais para o esporte, desde a década 50 até os dias atuais, verificando-se a aplicabilidade prática das propostas e suas mudanças no decorrer dos anos. Paralelamente à análise das projetos governamentais, destacou-se as leis federais e suas possíveis influências no contexto da estrutura esportiva paranaense. Embora aborde especificamente o caso do sistema esportivo no Paraná, este trabalho pode ajudar a compreender outra realidades, pois o modelo de análise empregado serve de reflexão para compreender a dinâmica esportiva de diversas localidades / Abstract: This research intends to show the sports structure in the State of Paraná since its early days until the present momento The starting point ofthis research was the formation of social and sporting clubs in the end of the last century and beginning of the current one. Exploiting this context, the organization of the clubs was verified until the formation of Federação Desportiva Paranaense in the forties, which helped on the systematization of sporting events in the State of Paraná. However, there have been some meaningful changes in that sports system ITom the fifties on. Therefore, the principal focus of this research is related to the changes of the sports structure established mainly in the fifth decade of this century, and their subsequent implications in our society, conceming especially the tensions between the necessity of the individuaIs that were organized in clubs and the interests of the govemment in offering a more acting model of administration for society. In this study, the relation between the State action and the sports structure developed in our society was broadened. For so, the understanding of the govemment proposals for sports was fundamental ITom the fifties on. The applicability of these proposals and their changes during the years were also verified. In line with the analysis of the govemment projects, the federal laws and their possible influences in Parana's sports organization context were enlighted.
