RBC model - aplikace na ČR / RBC model - application to the Czech Republic

Báča, Petr January 2009 (has links)
The diploma thesis deals with the basic Real Business Cycle (RBC) model. RBC theory provides pure supply-side explanation of economic fluctuations. Generaly acknowledged contribution of RBC theory is the fact that the model is developed strictly on microeconomic basis. The thesis consists of two basic parts, theoretical and practical. First, historical background of RBC theory is mentioned. Then the basic RBC model is step-by-step derived and all equations are provided with explanations. In the last theoretical part section RBC theory critisism is discussed. In the practical part the derived basic model is applied to the Czech economy. First certain properties of the Czech business cycles are examined. Then, the basic model is calibrated, simulated and the results are commented.

Kombinatorické úlohy o permutacích / Combinatorial problems on permutations

Wolfová, Mária January 2019 (has links)
In its theoretical part, this thesis sums up the basic knowledge concerning permutations. Besides the representation of permutations and determination of their fundamental characteristics, the theoretical part is, first of all, aimed at results concerning the decomposition of permutations into disjoint cycles and at finding the number of permutations with a certain characteristic. We introduce the fundamental bijection that is useful for solving many problems concerning the permutations. Further on, we focus on the number of permutations without a fixed point, Eulerian numbers expressing the number of permutations with a given number of descents, and the number of permutations with a given number of excedances, Stirling numbers of the first kind expressing the number of permutations with a given number of cycles, and Catalan numbers representing the number of permutations avoiding a chosen pattern of length three. Attention is also paid to the Gilbreath permutations and their characteristics. The practical part consists of 14 solved problems. The solutions rely on the results presented in the theoretical part, and there are deduced some further interesting results concerning random permutations.

Použití běžného odstředivého čerpadla jako turbíny / Use of standard centrifugal pump as turbine

Podešva, Adam January 2021 (has links)
This work deals with the use of a centrifugal pump in turbine mode and control of the system where this machine is operated. The introduction describes and divides the various types of pumps and discusses the issue of Euler's pump and turbine equations. The flow control options are also described here. Part of the work is a research that examines the advantages and disadvantages of using a centrifugal pump in turbine mode, the possibilities of using this system and real applications in the Czech Republic and in the world. The main part is the design of a mathematical model in Microsoft Excel, which solves the regulation of the piping system with a pump operating in turbine mode, especially out of the optimal operating parameters.

Variační počet a jeho použití / Application of Calculus of Variations

Bohata, Antonín January 2015 (has links)
Title: Application of Calculus of Variations Author: Anton'ın Bohata Department: Department of Mathematics Education Supervisor: doc. RNDr. Jana Star'a, CSc., Department of Mathematical Analysis Abstract: The thesis deals with the calculus of variation and its applica- tions. We recall the basic concepts from functional analysis that are needed to formulation of variational problems. Further, the simplest variational prob- lem is discussed. In particular, we present well-known Euler's equation which is a necessary condition of a local extremum of the given functional. The re- sults are then applied to solve various examples from geometry, physics, and economy. Some of these examples can be used to teach at secondary school. Keywords: Euler's equation, functionals, local extrema, calculus of variation

Vybrané geometrické vlastnosti trajektorií Brownova pohybu / On Selected Geometric Properties of Brownian Motion Paths

Honzl, Ondřej January 2012 (has links)
Title: On Selected Geometric Properties of Brownian Motion Paths Author: Mgr. Ondřej Honzl E-mail Address: honzl@karlin.mff.cuni.cz Department: Department of Probability and Mathematical Statistics Supervisor: Prof. RNDr. Jan Rataj, CSc. E-mail Address: rataj@karlin.mff.cuni.cz Department: Mathematical Institute, Charles University Abstract: Our thesis is focused on certain geometric properties of Brownian motion paths. Firstly, it deals with cone points of Brownian motion in the plane and we show some connections between cone points and critical points of Brownian motion. The motivation of the study of critical points is provided by a pleasant behavior of the distance function outside of the set of these points. We prove the theorem on a non-existence of π+ cone points on fixed line. This statement leads us to the conjecture that there are only countably many critical points of the Brownian motion path in the plane. Next, the thesis discusses an asymptotic behavior of the surface area of r-neigh- bourhood of Brownian motion, which is called Wiener sausage. Using the proper- ties of a Kneser function, we prove the claim about the relation of the Minkowski content and S-content. As the consequence, we obtain a limit behavior of the surface area of the Wiener sausage almost surely in dimension d ≥ 3. Finally,...

Eulerovo číslo v matematické analýze / Euler's number in calculus

RÁLKOVÁ, Lucie January 2017 (has links)
The main aim of my thesis on the topic of "Euler's number in mathematical analysis" is to create an overview of the Euler numbers in calculus. This essay in the first part deals with the rise of the number e, in other parts of the current use of calculus. Purpose of this work is the insight students of secondary schools and universities to problems Euler numbers and to better understand the importance of e not only in mathematics.

Platonská a Archimédovská tělesa a jejich vlastnosti ve výuce matematiky na středních školách / Platonic and Archimedean solids and their properties in teaching of mathematics at secondary schools

Dohnalová, Eva January 2016 (has links)
Title: Platonic and Archimedean solids and their properties in teaching of mathematics at secondary schools Author: Eva Dohnalová Department: Department of Didactics of Mathematics Supervisor: doc. RNDr. Jarmila Robová, CSc. Abstract: This work is an extension of my bachelor work and it is intended for all people interested in regular and semiregular polyhedra geometry. It is a comprehensive text which summarizes brief history, description and classification of regular and semiregular polyhedra. The work contains proofs of Descartes' and Euler's theorems and proofs about number of regular and semiregular polyhedra. It can be also used as a didactic aid in the instruction of regular and semiregular solids at secondary schools. This text is supplemented by illustrative pictures made in GeoGebra and Cabri3D. Keywords: Regular polyhedra, platonic solids, Platon, semiregular polyhedra, Archimedean solids, Archimedes, dulaism, Descartes' theorem, Euler's theorem.

Prostorová zobecnění vlastností trojúhelníku / Spatial generalizations of the properties of the triangle

Šrubař, Jiří January 2010 (has links)
TITLE Spatial generalizations of the properties of the triangle AUTHOR Jirˇı' Sřubarˇ SUPERVISOR Prof. RNDr. Adolf Karger, DrSc. DEPARTMENT Department of mathematics education ABSTRACT The present thesis describes various interesting properties of a triangle. The aim is to find and prove similar properties of its spatial generalization - a tetrahedron. Even though both synthetic and computational methods are used for proving spatial relations, synthetic approach is preferred whenever possible. The thesis is divided into two parts. In the first part, the properties of the tetrahedron analogous to the centroid and the orthocenter of the triangle are described. Also, conditions on the existence of the orthocenter of the tetrahedron are derived. Moreover, for tetrahedrons without an orthocenter, the so-called Monge point is introduced as its generalization. In the second part of the thesis, some further properties of the triangle are studied - - the Simson line, the de Longchamps point, the nine-point circle, the Euler line, the Lemoine point, the isodynamic points, the Lemoine axis and the Brocard axis. As the main contribution of the present thesis we define and prove the existence of spatial analogues of the above mentioned properties for the tetrahedron - the de Longchamps point, the twelve-point and...
