Orientador: Augusto Caccia-Bava / Banca: Darlene Aparecida de Oliveira Ferreira / Banca: Silas Nogueira / Resumo: A presente pesquisa é um esforço de reflexão sobre o processo de formação cultural dos jovens integrantes do assentamento Mário Lago, construído através da luta de famílias de trabalhadores que formam a base de mobilização do Movimento dos Trabalhadores Rurais Sem Terra, MST, no município de Ribeirão Preto-SP, auto-denominado "capital nacional do agronegócio", em razão de sua projeção nacional e internacional através do complexo de atividades econômicas vinculadas ao contexto da produção agro-industrial. Consideramos os jovens como sujeitos dos processos abertos pela luta política em torno da terra e interlocutores dos grupos com os quais convivem, configurando sua consciência perante o que experimentam no cotidiano. Além disso, identificamos as referências ético-políticas construídas junto a comunidade e junto ao MST, os constrangimentos presentes em suas vidas, constituídos pelos limites objetivos e subjetivos da luta pela terra em Ribeirão Preto, bem como sua capacidade de projetar o futuro. Destarte, nossa pesquisa distingue-se de outras voltadas à compreensão das opiniões individuais ou de contingentes populacionais jovens, à medida que reconhece a experiência dos jovens do assentamento Mário Lago como a expressão diversificada da experiência de formação cultural e política na sociedade brasileira. / Abstract: The actual research is a reflection effort about the process of cultural formation from the Young members from Mario Lago settlement, built through the fight of working families wich from the mobilation base of Moviment of Langless workers (Movimento dos Trabalhadores Rurais Sem Terra), in the city of Ribeirão Preto, self called "the capital of agribusiness" for the reason from his national and international projection through the economic activities complex linked to the agroindustrial production context. We consider the young people as a subject of an open process through the political figth involving the land and interlocutors of groups wich they line together, to form his conscience in front what they experienced in routine. Far beyond, we identify etic and political references built together of community and MST, the present problems in their lines, constitute by the objectives and subjectines limits for the land fight in Brazil and in Ribeirao Preto as well as it's capacity to project the future. Therefore our research distinguish from other related to comprehention of individual opinios or young population member by the reconigtion of the young experience fromm the settlement of Mario Lago as diversified expression of cultural anda political formation in the Brasilian society. / Mestre
