Studium vlivu procesních parametrů na vlastnosti svaru feritické korozivzdorné oceli při laserovém svařování s rozmítáním svazku / Study of the influence of process parameters on welding properties of ferritic stainless steel in laser oscillation welding

The aim of this work was to carry out an experiment to assess the influence of the individual welding parameters in the laser welding method with the beam wobbling on the made weld, respectively. welds. The material which was welded was ferritic stainless steel with the designation 1.4016, which, like all ferritic steels, is susceptible to coarse grains and the resulting brittleness which leads to degradation of the mechanical properties of the weld. The welds were compared to a sample welded without wobbling an between themselves. Unfortunately, however, the evaluation of the test samples did not bring significant differences from laser welding without wobbling, however some changes are evident, such as grain orientation, weld defects, or uniformity of mechanical properties over the weld length, where wobbling frequency is most important. Further research should focus on limiting the porosity at higher wobbling frequencies in the shape of a circle or ellipse.

Studium intermetalických fází v lité duplexní oceli / Study of intermetallic phases in cast duplex steel

This thesis deals with the study of intermetallic phases in cast duplex stainless steel ASTM A890 Grade 4A considering degradation of mechanical properties in the result of isothermal aging in the temperature of 700 °C and 595 °C. The period of aging in the temperature of 700 °C was ranging from 1 to 160 hours and in the temperature of 595 °C it was ranging from 24 to 245 hours. The study of microstructure after aging in the temperature of 700 °C has proved that the -phases, Laves phases, chromium carbides and chromium nitrides were excluded. The phase was observed after four hours of aging in the temperature of 700 °C in / interface for the first time. The transformation was performed by eutectoid mechanism according to the equation + 2. The Laves phase has been observed after 10 hours of aging in / interphase and later in the ferrite grain as well. Chromium carbides and nitrides have created a continuous contour along to the / and /2 interface. After the temperature of 595°C there have been observed a large amount of small precipitates in the structure. The precipitates have been extracted from some selected samples to carbon replica. Following analysis has confirmed the presence of chromium carbides, -phases and Laves phases. The deterioration of mechanical properties, caused by the influence of secondary phase exclusion, has been confirmed by the Vickers hardness test and impact test including fractography analysis of the fracture surface. The hardness has an increasing tendency while the impact strength has been significantly reduced.

Modelování fázového složení žárupevných ocelí a jejich spojů / Modelling of Phase Composition of Heat Resistant Steels and their Welds

This work deals with the effects of high temperature exposition of low alloyed creep resistant steels on their structural stability and structural stability of their weld joint. The theoretical part of this work gives an overview of creep resistant steels considering their chemical and phase composition and their connection to high temperature mechanical properties. The CALPHAD method is presented as generally accepted approach for equilibrated calculations and Thermo-Calc and DICTRA software packages are introduced as CALPHAD applications. Thermo-Calc software is used for calculation of phase composition of the examined materials and for calculation of the phase diagrams. Software DICTRA is used for simulations of diffusion controlled phase reactions in the analysed weld. Experimentally one weld joint of the steels 15 128 and 15 313 has been studied after four different annealing procedures. The experimental results include chemical profiles across the welds, microhardness profiles and metallographic analysis of significant regions of the welds. These experimental results are compared with the simulation results. The comparison shows a reasonable agreement between experimental and simulation data.

Strukturní stabilita svarového spoje uhlíková/austenitická ocel / Structural stability heterogeneous weldment of carbon/austenitic steels

Heterogeneous welded joints – type ferrite/austenite is inseparable part of structure for energy industry. Welding conditions and post weld heat treatment have a significant impact on the structural stability of welded joint. The structure determines resulting mechanical properties that determine lifetime of these joints. At the same time in microstructure changes in heat affected zone of the base material is diffusion of carbon through the weld interface. This work is focused on the analysis of structural stability of heterogeneous weld carbon/austenitic steel, which was formed carbon steel 22K (base material) and austenitic buttering layer EA 395/9 with a higher content of nickel. Evaluation of the structure was focused on the structure of weld metal (Böhler FOX SAS 2) and structure of the heat affected zone of base material. Metallographic evaluation was performed on the light microscope and scanning electron microscope equipped with the energy and wave dispersive analysis, which identified the contents of substitutional elements and carbon on the interface of carbon/austenitic steel. The results of metallographic analysis were compared with measurements of Vickers hardness and microhardness and calculations using Thermo-Calc software and software SVARY. The description and evaluation of the stability of the weld joints was determined by carbon content of the course interface using wave dispersive spectroscopy. The results of energy dispersive analysis were used to determine the type of carbides present at the interface of carbon/austenitic steel.
