The thesis deals with flexible forms of employment which are used in practice most. First it puts the concept of flexibilisation into context. The thesis defines the basic concepts and classification in connection with flexibility. Then it explains steps which led to the development of flexibility in the Czech Republic. The thesis has two main aims. The first aim is to evaluate the functioning of chosen flexible forms of employment in practice and to reveal their strengths and weaknesses by way of examples from practice. The second aim of the thesis lies in judging the impact of flexibilisation on individual classes of society and in drawing conclusion whether the flexibilisation is a positive or negative phenomenon for given groups in society.

The diploma thesis focuses mainly on the Czech legislation of these forms. However, the text also contains chapters dealing with flexible forms of employment that are used at the level of the European Union and the United States of America. Flexicurity and its effects on the Czech labour law This diploma thesis deals with the topic of flexicurity and its effects on the Czech labour law. After the first chapter, which is focused on the common understanding of the basic concepts of labour law, concentration on the topic itself - the principle of flexicurity - is given. It is a concept that aims to achieve harmony between the flexible arrangements of subjects of employment relationships and the guarantee of a certain level of working conditions for employees. Also the basic elements of flexicurity are explained: employment flexibility and protection of employees. By the introduction to principles of flexicurity also the European Union position to this new concept is explained. The third chapter is focused on the effects of flexicurity in the Czech labour law. In this chapter, also the possible approaches for creating of the legal environment in compliance with principles of flexicurity are explained. - Flexible forms of employment This thesis deals with the flexible forms of employment as an alternative to an indefinite term employment with eight-hour working days and as an instrument for increasing employment relationship flexibility. These forms of employment, also called atypical or precarious, are attractive for employees who want to achieve a balance between their professional and personal lives, or for employers who can use these forms of employment as a competitive advantage or as an instrument to solve their economic problems. The focus of the first two chapters is to determine the basic terms regarding the topic of this thesis; the following chapter concentrates on the flexible forms of employment regulated by Czech law in particular, i.e. Fixed-term contract, part-time job, homeworking, agreements on work carried out beyond employment and agency employment. In the scope of introduction of the particular flexible forms of employment this thesis in detail deals with the Czech law regulation of these forms of employment and follows up their benefits and drawbacks to the parties of the before mentioned agreements. - Flexible forms of working hours Flexibility is hotly debated term in the recent years and not only in a relation to labour market. This diploma thesis deals with flexible forms of working hours, which represents one of the means to achieve greater flexibility of labour law as well as flexible labour market. Increased options in adjusting working hours based on the needs of the subjects of labour-law relations contributes to more efficient use of employees work, provides new possibilities for some risk groups of employees on the labour market and helps employees in achieving work- life balance. These factors also have positive influence on unemployment rate. The thesis is divided into four chapters, which are further divided into subchapters. Name The validity of specific tests of flexibility toward climbing performance Goal To attest the validity of specific tests of flexibility in climbing Method 202 subjects were measured, of this number 136 were men 176,8 cm ± 8,9 cm tall and weighing in at 68,9 kg ± 12,0 kg and 66 were women 168,2 cm ± 15,2 cm tall and weighing in at 62,8 kg ± 13,1 kg. Specific flexibility was measured through three tests: bent knee foot raise test, straight knee foot raise test and foot loading test. The degree of validity of tests has been expressed by the correlation between the climbing performance and the results of the specific flexibility tests. Results All the tests were showing medium dependence to the climbing performance with the correlating coefficient values being: bent knee foot raise test r=0,49, foot loading test r=0,49 straight knee foot raise test r=0,44. These correlating coefficients were calculated from the relative values of test results by averaging the left and right foot results and dividing the resulting number by the height of the subject. Working hours, their duration and work schedule Abstract The diploma thesis deals with the topic of working hours and related institutes in Czech labor law in order to provide a comprehensive overview of the valid legal regulation. In addition, the work deals with the issues of breaks and rest periods, which are inseparably related to working hours. The thesis is divided into six chapters, which are subdivided into subchapters. The first chapter contains a historical excursion into the history of working hours regulation in the Czech lands from the Middle Ages to the present. I also mention the valid legal regulation of working hours at international and national level. The second chapter defines the concept of working hours, followed by a detailed description of each of the related institutes - its length, scheduling of work, work overtime, night work, on-call duty and working hours register. The following chapters discuss the organization of working hours for employees who look after children or other natural persons, pedagogical workers, workers in transportation and employees working under agreements to work outside the scope of employment. Primárním cílem diplomové práce bylo analyzovat a posoudit strategické investiční rozhodování firmy Lázně Poděbrady a.s. aplikací reálně opční metodologie. Samotné aplikaci reálných opcí na konkrétní investiční projekt předcházela v teoreticko-metodologické části důkladná analýza a syntéza odborné literatury, ale i hledání metodologie, která by mohla být na daný projekt aplikována. Oblastem aplikace reálných opcí, které jsou v praxi často označovány za nejkomplikovanější, jsem věnovala zvýšenou pozornost. Velký důraz jsem dala zejména na analýzu nejistot obsažených v projektu, identifikaci relevantních opcí a zjištění adekvátní míry volatility. Pečlivě stanovené vstupní opční parametry by měly být garancí správných opčních hodnot. Aplikací citlivostní analýzy opcí jsem se snažila upřesnit interpretaci zjištěných výsledků a závěrečných doporučení pro společnost.
