Reálie v učebnicích češtiny pro cizince / Facts in the textbooks of Czech for foreigners

Machuldová, Lenka January 2013 (has links)
The aim of my work is to analyze Czech language textbooks for foreigners in terms of inclusion and presentation of cultural studies. In the theoretical part I attempt to outline the development of Czech courses for foreigners and Czech as a foreign language, as well as summarize the current knowledge of area studies and explain their interconnectedness with the socio- cultural competence. In the second, practical part of my work, I focus on whether facts in various Czech language textbooks for foreigners are presented implicitly or explicitly, whether the facts presented in contrast with the culture are expected from the student and whether the facts in these textbooks are practiced and tested. In addition, I tried to capture the presence or absence of geographical information, historical information, information regarding cultural characteristics of the Czech and their lifestyle, information about English and its development, information regarding speech courtesy and behaviour, information regarding Czech literature, art, science, sports, Czech food, information regarding Czech politics and other possible facts. The analysis of each textbook is its assessment and the recommendation for teachers. In conclusion, I summarize all discovered knowledge regarding area studies in Czech language textbooks for...

Diskriminace národnostních menšin na českém trhu práce - empirická studie / Discrimination of Ethnic Minorities in the Czech Labour Market - Empirical Analysis

Novotná, Petra January 2013 (has links)
This work is analysing discrimination of ethnic minorities in the Czech labour market between the years 2000 and 2009. Differences in employment rates between immigrants and natives are investigated using the EU LFS data. The empirical part is devoted to the verification of hypotheses and assumptions. By applying both, simple statistical methods and robust regressions, we obtain consistent results confirming the discrimination against foreigners in the labour market. The examination of employment rates of the immigrants by gender shows that men have in most cases better economic position than women. Furthermore, employment of foreigners in relation to the reached level of education is monitored, indicating the discrimination of immigrant workers with college degrees. Interesting is the outcome of the investigation of the change in the data after the breakthrough in 2004, when the Czech Republic along with other Eastern and Central European countries joined the European Union. Although the differences in employment rates of foreigners and natives are mainly obvious till 2004, since 2005 foreigners' employment rates have often increased. After a closer examination, this change can be ascribed rather to changes in the composition of immigrant or in migration trends influenced by the EU accession than...

Kočová, Kateřina January 2017 (has links)
1 Abstract This diploma introduces three alternative methods taught in the study of foreign languages - a method of suggestopedy, Nepustil's method and the Act and Speak method. The purpose of this work is to approach the methods from a historical and methodological perspective. The main focus is aimed at inspections of alternative schools, supplied with student's questionnaires and the visual material from classes. The theoretical part discusses methods from a historical perspective, the progress and presentation of grammar and learning material. Furthermore introducing the basic concept and features of alternative methods with the posibility of applying them during the teaching of Czech language for foreigners. The practical part introduces research made up of inspections at alternative schools along with interviews with founders and successors of these methods. As analysis of the questionnaires that explore the opinions and awareness of teachers about the effectivity and usefulness of untraditional methods in teaching is also a part of it. Practical inspections and conclusions based on the results of questionnaires showed the Act and Speak method to be the most beneficial method. The practical part concludes by presenting other activities for teaching Czech for foreigners that are based on those...

[en] A SEMANTIC-ASPECTUAL ANALYSIS ABOUT COPULA (LINKING-VERBS) / [pt] UMA ANÁLISE SEMÂNTICO-ASPECTUAL DOS VERBOS DE LIGAÇÃO

SHEILA MEJLACHOWICZ 06 October 2003 (has links)
[en] This research proposes a new way of analising verbos de ligação (copulae) in Portuguese. Traditional Grammar considers this group of verbs as having a purely syntactic function, paying no attention to their meaning. In fact, these verbs and their complements constitute an expression with meaning of its own. This characteristic enables us to compare verbos de ligação to light verbs, since they have the same kind of behavior.

Roger Braun s.j. (1910-1981) : philo-semitism and relief to foreigners

Lunel, Frédéric 13 December 2013 (has links)
Roger Braun (1910-1981) was a French Jesuit priest who early took an interest in the Jews, coming from France or Palestine, Judaism and Jewish culture. In 1942, he was appointed chaplain assistant to the camps and groups of foreign workers in the “Free France” area (in the south of the country). Responding to persecutions, he tried to save the lives of interned Jews from the Nazi occupiers by releasing them or organizing escapes and hiding children. He did his utmost to bring together members of families dispersed owing to the war and he placed the elderly in the care of hospices. He was involved in the policy change of the Chaplaincy allowing it to provide, in addition to a spiritual help, a material help without any distinction of “race”, religion or nationality. In so doing, he established the basis of an international Catholic Relief Service (Secours Catholique International – SCI). In 1946, the SCI merged with Catholic Relief Committee (Comité Catholique de Secours) belonging to the Canon Rodhain’s Chaplaincy of prisoners of war. The new confessional charity thus created adopted the name of Secours Catholique. In 1957, after leaving this institution, he returned to his apostolate in the form of a dialogue to the Jews and Israel, being involved in the editorial team of the Cahiers Sioniens, and then, creating his own periodical: Rencontre chrétiens et juifs (Meeting/Encounter Christians and Jews). As a parallel creation to the Amitié judéo-chrétienne de France (Judeo-Christian Friendship of France), this periodical aims at improving a mutual understanding between the faithful of both religions and bringing them together. As a fervent opponent to anti-semitism of any kind, he joined the International League Against Anti-semitism (LICA: Ligue Internationale Contre l’Antisémitisme). He became president of its federation in Paris and member of the steering committee.Roger Braun was made a Knight (Chevalier) of the Order of Public Health, the first French to be honored by the State of Israel as “Righteous Among the Nations” for his involvement in favor of the Jews during World War II, Officer of the Order of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States, Chevalier of the Legion of Honor, recipient of the Narcisse Leven Award against anti-semitism and of the Médaille Vermeil of the City of Paris. And yet, the work of this religious had never been studied from an historical point of view. This thesis aims at making the most detailed possible biography of Father Roger Braun, to establish his work as a significant part of the philo-semitism trend and the rediscovery of the Jewish roots of Christianity. It also seeks to analyze and understand the birth of this catholic charity and to clarify his action and involvement in favor of the foreigners and the refugees of post-war Europe.

Infractions routières et situations d'extranéité / Driving offences and extraneity situations

Terrazzoni, Laurent 18 November 2014 (has links)
Fighting to achieve road safety has been a top national priority since 2002. It has led to the so-called « zero-tolerance » policy with highway code delinquents and traffic offenders. This repression which is both administrative and penal may however prove problematic should the offence bear an extraneous aspect, when it is committed by a driver with a foreign driving licence or when the vehicle was registered abroad. That such offences never or quasi-never be punished besides the consequences on road safety, gives rise to a deep feeling of inequality particularly in cross-border areas and therefore calls for new answers. Administratively speaking, the new answers lie, among other things, in a widening of the cross-border range of administrative measures, but also in developing a driving licence with a penalty point system specific to the EU. Penally speaking such new answers suppose a closer cooperation among states so as to be able to identify vehicle owners should the vehicle fail to be intercepted by the police. Introducing automated control systems of road traffic requires that states and the EU increase cross-border information exchange.

[en] PERSONAL AND OFFICIAL ALL AT ONCE: BORDERLINE SPACES IN THE WORKPLACE IN BRAZILIAN SOCIETY AND THE TEACHING OF PORTUGUESE AS A SECOND LANGUAGE TO FOREIGNERS / [pt] PESSOAL E OFICIAL AO MESMO TEMPO: ESPAÇOS LIMÍTROFES NO SOCIEDADE BRASILEIRA E O ENSINO DE PORTUGUÊS COMO SEGUNDA LÍNGUA PARA ESTRANGEIROS

CICERO BERNARDO PORTO 28 September 2006 (has links)
[en] This work is based on the theories of Social Anthropology deriving from the house and street by Roberto DaMatta, in an attempt to circumscribe the limitrophe spaces within Brazilian society. It is well known that the Brazilian people display a preference for relationships with more intimacy and familiarity, features of the house relations, in opposition to distant and unfamiliar relations: street. However, the phenomenon being analysed in this work is the existence of a third space, ambiguous and limitrophe, neither located in the house, nor in the street. We also point out that this space is represented by a series of linguistic, social and spacial events, for the Brazilian people, usually, tend to place their interactions in this limitrophe space, as an effort to establish a greater proximity with their interlocutor, even being at the space of the street. Besides that, we also show that these concepts of house, street and limitrophe spaces can be applied to the teaching of Portuguese as Second Language for Foreigners, since the acquisition of a second language is related not only to linguistic features but also to the social and cultural ones.
