En la presente tesis se realiza a detalle un análisis de factibilidad y rentabilidad del marketing móvil a través de los mensajes de texto para servicios de valor agregado en la ciudad de Lima. En este análisis se plantea el envío personalizado de SMS generado por una empresa que brinda el servicio de marketing móvil, en representación de otras compañías que soliciten este servicio, en función de los perfiles de interés de sus clientes. Esta tesis está estructurada de la siguiente manera: En el capítulo 1 se detallan los antecedentes del servicio de marketing móvil, así como sus tendencias y beneficios. En el capítulo 2 se muestra el marco teórico basado en los elementos de la red móvil que intervienen en el envío del SMS, el tipo de VPN y la encriptación de la información que atraviesa el enlace. De esta manera, se tendrán los conceptos necesarios sobre los elementos que intervienen en el servicio. En el capítulo 3 se detallan las pruebas y los resultados obtenidos de las implementaciones realizadas: la primera, una conexión VPN entre dos redes que representan a una empresa que brinda el servicio de marketing móvil y a un operador que brinda la conectividad entre este servicio y la red móvil. Y la segunda, el envío de SMS entre ambas redes, a través del servicio de FTP. En el capítulo 4 se desarrolla el análisis de mercado en la ciudad de Lima, basado en estudios previos realizados por la empresa IPSOS y en las encuestas propias realizadas a los agentes comerciales de las principales empresas de marketing móvil del país. Finalmente, en el capítulo 5 se evalúa el costo - beneficio de implementar esta alternativa de negocio, a través de la elaboración del flujo de caja, análisis de rentabilidad y sostenibilidad en el tiempo. / Tesis

La presente tesis consiste en el desarrollo de un dispositivo electrónico capaz de interferir las señales de los operadores móviles en lugares donde no se tiene permitido el uso de teléfonos móviles que operan en la banda GSM. Después de presentar los conceptos teóricos concernientes a la radiofrecuencia, se presenta un análisis entre las diversas técnicas de jamming y los diferentes tipos de jammer con el fin de elegir la mejor opción para el desarrollo del dispositivo. Posteriormente, se realiza el diseño por etapas del dispositivo y su correspondiente simulación de operación. Además se explica brevemente el proceso del desarrollo de la aplicación y se exponen los resultados obtenidos. Con ello se abarcan la parte del generador de funciones y el área de cobertura efectiva del bloqueador. El dispositivo jammer desarrollado opera exitosamente de 0.5 a 1.7 metros a la redonda aproximadamente y toma de 30 a 35 segundos para bloquear completamente al teléfono móvil de cualquier interacción con la red celular GSM. / Tesis

New mobile solutions are being developed in the form of new Internet capable mobile devices such as the IPhone and new wireless networks such as the LTE and WiMAX networks.</p><p>This report will present, explain and compare some of the most popular wireless networks that enable mobile payments, from a security point of view. The chosen networks are 3G with connection to GSM, and WLAN networks. The main security mechanisms involved in each network, and how they work will be studied. Security requirements and some of the most important threats each network faces will be presented and discussed. The main purpose of the report is to examine if mobile payments offer an acceptable level of security to the average user.</p>

<p>This report studies a low cost hardware platform for Fleet Management Services, FMS. The platform manages vehicle data, positioning and wireless communication. The core of the platform is a new kind of ‘intelligent’ GSM modem, called a GSM module. A GSM module is basically a stripped down mobile phone that allows embedded third party application code and has an IP-stack. The report reviews the modules available on the market today and presents experiences from the implementation of a prototype based on the Aplicom A12 module. The main conclusion is that the concept is feasible though the modules' limited performance must be considered in the design.</p>

<p>Merparten av de kommersiella system för mobilkommunikation som finns och byggs i världen idag bygger fortfarande på GSM, antalet abbonnenter är över 2 miljarder. För att utöka funktionaliteten med mobila terminaler har det forskats på att införa positionering i GSM-nätverk. Tjänster som använder abbonnentens positionsinformation kallas Location Based Service och de ger möjlighet att utöka funktionaliteten och spara användaren av tjänsten arbete. </p><p>Rapporten beskriver olika tekniker för positionering och slutsatsen att CGI-TA är den teknik som positioneringen ska byggas på. Denna teknik finns tillgänglig hos de svenska operatörerna idag och för att kommunicera med dem används Mobile Location Protocol 3.0.0. Implementation av positioneringen realiserades i en J2EE-miljö i form av en WebLogic Server 8.1 med hjälp av Enterprise Java Beans och Java Connector Architecture. Prototypen verifierades med hjälp av en emulator till Ericsson Mobile Positioning System som klarar av att hantera Mobile Location Protocol 3.0.0.</p>

Att fjärrstyra sin värmepump gör det möjligt att styra inomhusklimatet även då man inte är hemma. Detta passar mycket bra i exempelvis fritidshus då man enkelt kan höja temperaturen innan man skall dit och därmed kan njuta av ett behagligt inomhusklimat direkt. Med dagens fjärrstyrning av Daikins värmepumpar finns två problem. Systemet använder GSM-nätet och användaren måste kunna de olika SMS-koderna utantill. Fjärrstyrning används oftast i fritidshus på landsbygden och 3G-nätet har idag bättre täckning än GSM-nätet på många av dessa platser. Målet med examensarbetet är att ta fram ett system som åtgärdar dessa problem. Vi börjar med att ta fram en funktionsmodell att utgå från. Går vidare med val av hårdvara för modulen, och därefter vidare till mjukvaruutveckling. Resultatet av detta examensarbete är ett system för fjärrstyrning av Daikins värmepumpar som använder 3G-nätet och enkelt kan styras via en androidapplikation.
