They used methodological assumptions of Oral History, Cultural History and Memory. The stories told with interviews of former teachers, current teachers, former employees, former students and other employees who elucidates data of the school community to enable the development of a scientific paper on the history and school memory. For this reason, the research agenda on the following questions: How did the school's appearance, according to the narrative? What is the relevance of school to the field education in the city of Rio Verde? The chosen time frame 1997, the year he came to EMREF Water Coqueiros Mansa and also the applicability of LDB 9394/96, by the year 2015. The survey data find that the school has a fundamental role in the lives of children in the rural community located in the Mansa Water region. Its appearance has provided access, permanence and legitimacy of an education field that stands for quality, attested by successful results. / A pesquisa tem por objeto de estudo a reconstrução da história e memória da Escola Municipal Rural de Ensino Fundamental Água Mansa Coqueiros no município de Rio Verde – GO, o objetivo é contribuir para ampliação dos estudos da historiografia goiana e brasileira, e especificamente o conhecimento da história do surgimento da escola, conforme aquela realidade. Utilizaram-se pressupostos metodológicos da História Oral, História Cultural e Memória. As narrativas contaram com entrevistas de ex-professores, professores atuais, ex-funcionários, ex-aluno entre outros colaboradores, que elucida dados da comunidade escolar para possibilitar a elaboração de documento científico sobre a história e memória da escola. Por esta razão, a pesquisa pauta-se nas seguintes indagações: Como se deu o surgimento da escola, segundo as narrativas? Qual a relevância da escola para o ensino do campo no município de Rio Verde? O recorte temporal escolhido de 1997, ano em que surgiu a EMREF Água Mansa Coqueiros e também a aplicabilidade da LDB 9394/96, até o ano de 2015. Os dados da pesquisa constatam que a escola tem papel fundamental na vida das crianças da comunidade rural localizada na região da Água Mansa. Seu surgimento propiciou o acesso, permanência e a legitimação de uma educação do campo que prima pela qualidade, atestada pelos resultados de sucesso.

Through this, there is the possibility of democratizing sources and authors who report their experiences and struggles for improvements to the Vale do Rio Doce School. Political contexts reveal the need for specialized field education, since so-called rural education reflects the process of colonization with European influences. The historiography of the Vale do Rio Doce Rural Municipal School of Primary Education is presented, focusing on its creation in 1991, in the estate of Mr. Sebastião Cabral, in the change in 1999 to the Água Bonita Settlement and in the structuring with the current building in 2008 The knowledge of the memory of the Vale do Rio Doce is necessary so that its history is not forgotten. The methodology of oral history is the primary source that sought to understand the history of the School that covers the panorama of the events of the municipality of Rio Verde in the state of Goiás, the MST and the Rio Verdinho settlement. The choice of object and objectives became more relevant with the realization that facts and dates present gaps and doubts that required further investigation to be more clearly answered. Oral history is coupled with the theoretical and documentary foundations provided by SMERV. The task of gathering the information into the thesis was complex enough, because understanding and writing the trajectories, given the lack of data in the SMERV reports, seemed too difficult for the short time of the research. However, the materiality of oral history made it possible to understand most of the causalities. As the main result of this study, we have the motives that deliberated the trajectory of the School, emphasizing the preservation of its memory, but not in a crystallized way, but rather to amplify the conflicts of the new realities of studies that reinterpret the events at each time in the light of new experiences. It is concluded that the construction of the thesis recorded the history and memory of the Vale do Rio Doce School, making it scientific, revealing its educational culture of the field. / A contextualização desta pesquisa aborda a narrativa da história oral que é uma forma de (re)viver a história e a memória. Por meio dessa, há a possibilidade de democratizar fontes e autores que relatam suas experiências e lutas por melhorias para a Escola Vale do Rio Doce. Contextos políticos revelam a necessidade de um ensino do campo especializado, já que a denominada educação rural reflete o processo de colonização com as influências europeias. A historiografia da Escola Municipal Rural de Ensino Fundamental Vale do Rio Doce é apresentada, com enfoque na sua criação em 1991, na Fazenda do senhor Sebastião Cabral, na mudança em 1999 para o Assentamento Água Bonita e na estruturação com o prédio atual, em 2008. O conhecimento da memória da Vale do Rio Doce faz-se necessário para que sua história não seja esquecida. A metodologia da história oral é a fonte primária que buscou entender a história da Escola que abrange o panorama dos acontecimentos do município de Rio Verde, no estado de Goiás, do MST e do Assentamento Rio Verdinho. A escolha do objeto e dos objetivos se tornou mais relevante com a constatação de que os fatos e as datas apresentam lacunas e dúvidas que requereram mais investigações, para que fossem mais claramente respondidas. A história oral está conjugada com os embasamentos teóricos e de documentos fornecidos pela SMERV. A tarefa de reunir as informações para a tessitura da tese foi bastante complexa, pois entender e escrever as trajetórias, diante da ausência de dados nos relatórios da SMERV, pareciam difíceis demais para o pouco tempo da pesquisa. Entretanto, a materialidade da história oral possibilitou a compreensão da maior parte das causalidades. Como principal resultado deste estudo, têm-se os motivos que deliberaram a trajetória da Escola, enfatizando-se a preservação de sua memória, mas não de forma cristalizada e sim para ampliação dos embates das novas realidades de estudos que a cada época reinterpreta os acontecimentos à luz das novas experiências. Conclui-se que a construção da tese registrou a história e memória da Escola Vale do Rio Doce, tornando-a de cunho científico, revelando sua cultura educacional do campo.
