Molekulární a environmentální faktory spojené s diapauzou a stárnutím hmyzu / Molecular and environmental factors connected to diapause and aging in insect

ZDECHOVANOVÁ, Lenka January 2007 (has links)
Current models state that insect peripheral oscillators are directly responsive to light, while mammalian peripheral clock genes are coordinated by a master clock in the brain via intermediate factors, possibly hormonal. We show that the expression levels of two circadian clock genes, period (per) and Par Domain Protein 1 (Pdp1) in the peripheral tisue of an insect model species are inversely affected by contrasting photoperiods. The effect of photoperiod on per and Pdp1 mRNA levels was found to be mediated by the juvenile hormone. Our results provide the first experimental evidence for hormonal regulation of circadian clock gene expression in insects.

Akustická analýza mechanických hodinek / Acoustical analysis of mechanical watsches

Dohnal, Marek January 2010 (has links)
This thesis is focused on the analysis of the characteristics of mechanical watches on the basis of their sound. There are theoretically analysed usual mechanical defects and disorders of watches and compensation of those defects. Particular attention is given to disorders, that can be extracted from the recorded acoustic sound of watches. There are also solved most appropriate methods of recording with a respect to the minimisation of ambient acoustic interference. The main part of this work is experimental measurement on watches and evaluation of achieved acoustic data. For this purpose, an autonomously running software were developed.

Život a dílo Fanny Neuda / Life and Work Fanny Neuda

Příplatová, Silvie January 2019 (has links)
The thesis entitled Life and Work of Fanny Neuda deals with a significant and almost forgotten writer from Lostice who lived between 1819-1894. It was Loštice that was the place of her writing, which is why the first chapter is devoted to them. This Jewish community was quite specific in its history, as discussed in the chapter. The second chapter deals with Fanny Neuda itself, her life and her "pioneering" writing activity. Since Fanny Neuda, née Schmiedl, was the world's first woman of Jewish descent, she did not write only prayers for women, but wrote a book for general opportunities / stimuli named Stunden der Andacht. Ein Gebet- und Erbauungsbuch für Israels Frauen und Jungfrauen, zur öffentlichen und häuslichen Andacht, sowie für alle Verhältnisse des weiblichen Lebens (Praha / Břeclav, 1855). She confidently compares her prayers with those written by men for women, for she is denied empathy with women's perception. But a woman can read in the hearts of her sisters.1 It is worthwhile to bring the character of Fanny Neuda and her work closer together, as well as the challenges she faced in writing in German. Pnina Navé Levinson characterized Fanny's literary work, a rabbi's rabbi, whose pious book for women can be regarded as a "classic" from the second half of the 19th century to our times....

Didaktika křesťanské etiky / Didactics of Christian ethics

Janovská, Kristýna January 2018 (has links)
1 Abstract The diploma thesis handles the theme of didactics of Christian ethics as a school subject with a focus on four-year grammar schools and secondary schools. The syllabus of the thesis is organized the way to give a systematic overview of the issue, therefore the first chapter is dedicated to define the basic concepts which are the gateway for understanding what the Christian ethics is and what it is pursuing. The following chapters give a comprehensive view of the subject didactics as a school subject named Christian Ethics. The fifth chapter presents the Decalogue as the basic methodological text of catechesis, which is also an explicit text for Christian ethics. Each of the commandments is demonstrated by its overlapping to the present as we can see on possible ethical topics for teaching. The final six chapter presents a model of three lessons that can be used within the lectures. The chosen topics represent the specific areas which I currently see as problematic, specifically The value orientation of a person; Respect for nature; Partnership and sexuality from the point of view of Christianity.

Mechanismy mateřské synchronizace fetálních cirkadiánních hodin / Mechanisms of maternal entrainment of the fetal circadian clock

Černá, Barbora January 2017 (has links)
Our body is influenced by many cyclical changes in the environment, such as day and night or seasons. To predict these changes and react to them in time, the organism is equipped with inner clock, which rhythmically influences many physiological processes, such as sleep or metabolic rhythms. Disrupting our inner rhythms at molecular and behavioral levels contributes to many serious disorders. It is necessary that all mechanisms of the inner circadian clock are developed and set up properly. Circadian clocks are set up by the mother, who passes rhythmical information about day and night cycle on to her embryo. Though a great attention is devoted to revealing the nature of this synchronization between the mother and her pup, the mechanisms of this process have not been fully understood yet. The aim of this thesis is to contribute to actual understanding of this synchronization. Experiments, performed in this thesis, relate to studying the ability of maternal signals to synchronize embryos with the environment. Feeding and light regime of pregnant rats was manipulated and the effect of these changes on the neuronal activity within the suprachiasmatic nuclei of 19-day embryos was analyzed.
