Literatura e direitos humanos: uma crítica social em Os Brutos de José Bezerra Gomes

In this work, we pretend problematize the relation of history,literature and human rights from the book OsBrutos(1938) of José Bezerra Gomes (1911-1982). The mentioned work aims to identify the aspects of the narrative that portray the society and the local culture, with focused in the social criticism elaborated by the author. José Bezerra Gomes is part of a generation of writers and literary segment (literature of 1930),that had as a esthetic element, commitment to the truth of the facts and the commitment to expose and denounce the marginalization form social inequalities.Accordingly making him a protagonist of the fight for human rights. / Partimos do princípio que a literatura é um sistema simbólico de comunicação inter-humana, que tem uma função mobilizadora e, portanto, agrega consequências políticas. Neste trabalho, pretendemos problematizar a relação entre a história, a literatura e os direitos humanos a partir da obra Os Brutos (1938) de José Bezerra Gomes (1911-1982). O trabalho mencionado visa identificar os aspectos presentes na narrativa que retratam a sociedade e a cultura local, com foco na crítica social elaborada pelo autor. José Bezerra Gomes faz parte de uma geração de escritores e de um segmento literário (literatura de 1930), que tinha como elemento estético, o compromisso com a veracidade dos fatos, e o empenho em expor e denunciar as marginalizações decorrentes das desigualdades sociais. Dessa forma, tornando seus escritores protagonistas numa luta pelos direitos humanos.
