Fenomény ovlivňující chování české šlechty v husitské revoluci na pozadí života Hanuše z Kolovrat / Phenomena affecting the behavior of Czech nobility in the Hussite revolution. Example Hanus of Kolovraty

Sýkora, Michal January 2021 (has links)
This thesis focuses on the factors affecting the behavior of Czech nobility (especially Czech lords) during the Hussite revolution. Phenomena such as family, economic and regional relations, state affiliation, and the contemporary military situation will be confronted with the life of Hanus of Kolovraty. Hanus of Kolovraty was chosen for this purpose for several reasons. As a member of the Pilsen landfried he was an ally of Sigismund of Luxemburg for a long time. For us it will be interesting to see how Hanus of Kolovraty contributed to the secularization of church property, which strategically built his estate and how the Hussite pressure forced him into radical change in the opposite doctrinal camp. The research will be completed by the year 1448, when George of Podebrady took Prague and Hanus of Kolovraty was defeated and withdrew from the political scene. Various behavioral theories of the Czech nobility will be confronted not only with the life of Hanus of Kolovraty, but also with other examples of prominent leaders of the Hussite revolution. This thesis will attempt to answer the question whether it is possible to find some sort of unifying theory of a behavior of the Czech nobility in the first half of the 15th century, or whether this theory is definitely shattered by the detailed...

Dějiny kláštera Na Slovanech za husitství v letech 1419-1442 / History of the Slavonic Monastery in the Hussite Time between 1419-1442

Pohunek, Michal January 2014 (has links)
Bc. Michal Pohunek: Dějiny kláštera Na Slovanech za husitství v letech 1419 - 1442 Abstract History of the Slavonic Monastery in the Hussite Period between 1419 - 1442 This thesis describes the history of the Slavonic monastery, situated in Nové Město in Prague, and later also known as Emaus. My thesis concerns the period of the Hussite revolt between 1419-1442. At that period Holy Communion in the Slavonic monastery was offered to lay people in the utraquist mode - i.e., both bread and wine - and the monastic community became a part of the Hussite movement. The goals of this thesis are primarily theological, in line with the discipline of church history. First I want to contribute to the understanding of the spiritual and religious atmosphere in the whole of the Czech kingdom of that historical period, by describing its particular history in the Slavonic monastery. Second I would like to contribute to the comprehension of the possibility of Benedictine monastic life in the context of the Hussite movement and the influence of the utraquist monastery on the religious evolution of the time. This needs knowledge of the situation in the monastic community and its neighbourhood in that time. To understand the theological orientation of the monastic community in that period it is necessary to describe the...

Valdsaský klášter mezi Českým královstvím a Svatou říší římskou: Politický, hospodářský a sociální vývoj kláštera a jeho panství v 15. století / The Waldsassen Abbey between Kingdom of Bohemia and Holy Roman Empire. The Political, Economic and Social Development of the Abbey and Its Manor in the 15th Century

Hrdlička, Vojtěch January 2019 (has links)
The goal of this thesis was to analyse the development of abbey in Waldsassen since the end of 14th century to the finish of George's of Podiebrad reign. Author struggled to describe on the basis of analysis of above all unpublished monastic sources, which are deposited in State archive in Amberg, various aspects of life in Waldsassen convent. Apart from the economic base and its changes, which are well covered by amount of sources, also social a political relations to secular power in the Holy Roman Empire - roman rulers and princes are studied. Then the basis deals with contacts of monastery with the Crown of Bohemia and its aristocracy and also with the position of Waldsassen in the Order and its cooperation with other Cistercian monasteries. Matters dealt with the papal throne are not forgetten, too. Detailed analysis was dedicated to parish network and the land register of Waldsassen, which presents the valuable source for former economic relationships and toponyms of "Stiftland" and Upper Palatine. The fourth chapter is also comprehensive, describing Waldsassen during the Hussite wars and eliminates some myths about this period in the region. Closing parts of this thesis are dedicated to the renewal of abbey domain and to the effort, which was invested mutually to maintain good relations...
