Corporate design VŠE

Urban, Petr January 2007 (has links)
Cílem této práce je analýza a návrh zlepšení vizuálního stylu Vysoké školy ekonomické v Praze.

(Re)Konstrukce subjektivity a času v žánru autobiografie / (Re)Construction of the subjectivity and time in the autobiography

Soukupová, Klára January 2012 (has links)
This study deals with some of the recent theory of autobiography. Methodologically, it is based on literary narratology but, as part of interdisciplinary research, it also draws on insights provided by philosophy, psychology, and cognitive science. It shows that an autobiography does not reflect an author's identity but helps construct it by narrative means. As far as the truthfulness of an autobiography is concerned, the study takes into account the issues of autobiographical memory and its reliability; it also deals with collective memory in the context of genre norms. Drawing on positioning theory, the study offers a conception of autobiography as a formally and narratively complete work that, however, reflects the current situation and position of the author who is writing it. This master's thesis demonstrates its suggestions using autobiographical texts from Czech as well as world literatures. Keywords autobiography, memory, narrative identity, referentiality, positioning theory

Regionální diferenciace svahilské identity - případová studie měst Vanga a Ushongo / Regional Differentiation of Swahili Identity - Case Study of Vanga and Ushongo

Mbezi, Barbora January 2012 (has links)
This thesis deals with the formation of the Swahili identity within two countries: Kenya and Tanzania. The Swahili people have inhabited the East African coast since the first millennium, utilizing local resources to trade and to create their sophisticated social position. The philosophy of Islam had a considerable influence on the development of the Swahili culture. These traditional elements typical for the Swahili culture were significantly restricted by the period of colonialism, where newly formed boundaries divided this ethnic group. The situation on both sides of the border is analysed through quantitative and qualitative research, which offers a complex view on the issue. The results show that selected cities are very similar with only small differences - often related to the closeness or openness of the village towards increasing tourism. In general the established boundaries play almost no role in shaping the Swahili identity. The Swahili people retain their traditional position within the East African coast, although their relations with other countries are less pronounced as the distance between them increases.

Kulturní identita migrantů v Francii / Cultural identity of migrants in France

Sudová, Hana January 2012 (has links)
This master thesis investigates adaptation and cultural identity of migrants living in France. The sample consisted of migrants from Sub-Saharan Africa and French overseas departments who went to France for their studies. The research contains a qualitative and a quantitative part. The qualitative study was realized through semi-structural interwiev, in which partici- pated 19 students in age from 21-33 years. Results indicate that the migrants identify in their country of origin mostly with solidarity and warmth of the people, which contrasts with impersonal relationships of an individualistic french society. In spite of occasional experience with discrimination in France, most of migrants seem to adapt quite well. In France, they appretiate mostly the opportunity to succeed in life, which is given to everybody, something that is far from the case in their country of origin. In the quantitative study, 40 migrants in age from 18-45 years completed a questionnaire survey on internet. Due to a small number of participants the research have rather orientatio- nal character. Results indicated, unexpectedly, that the strenght of ethnic identity diminishes over time, which is in contradiction with several previous studies. Another result reveal that African women show better social and psychological...

Negociace a hybridizace: Konstrukce přistěhovalecké identity v románech Zadie Smith White Teeth a Swing Time / Negotiation and Hybridization:Constructing Immigrant Identities in Zadie Smith`s White Teeth and Swing Time

Araslanova, Anna January 2019 (has links)
Present research addresses the topic of construction immigrant identities in two novels, White Teeth and Swing Time by contemporary British author Zadie Smith. The main focus of the work is to look closely at the examples of the characters in the aforementioned two novels who are first and second generation immigrants and see how they negotiate and create their identity formations. The most valuable theoretical framework for the present research proves to be the hybrid identity theory created by Homi Bhabha. Thus, the first theoretical part of the thesis attempts to explain the theoretical framework in order to apply the notion to the literary examples from the novels that are addressed in the following two chapters of the thesis. The following analysis of the literary characters revealed that the identity formations are primarily constructed through negotiation and hybridization as the immigrant identities tend to be hybrids of the cultures of their ancestors. Additionally, the penultimate chapter addresses the ideas of cross-national cosmopolitanism that are mentioned in the second novel which seem to be the possible and desired outcome of the processes of hybridization, while also exploring the limits of the theory.

Souvislost kvality attachmentové vazby a poruch příjmu potravy / Relations between quality of attachment and eating disorders

Houlíková, Klára January 2019 (has links)
This diploma thesis focuses on the relations between attachment quality and eating disorders. The main goal is to map how girls with an eating disorder understand their illness and what the disorder signifies to them within their family system. In the theoretical part of the thesis, eating disorders are delineated. There is an emphasis on risk factors for eating disorders, and a comprehensive approach to their explanation is presented in terms of different theoretical schools. The next part is devoted to the attachment theory with an emphasis on the development from childhood to adulthood. The theoretical foundations of the Parental Bonding Instrument are presented. Furthermore, the attachment theory is linked to the occurrence of eating disorders. In the empirical part of the thesis, the methodological aspect of the research, which was carried out with three girls who have experienced eating disorders, is first introduced. The research design combines the method of semi-structured interviews with the method of using a tool measuring the quality of bonding with parents, specifically the Parental Bonding Instrument. It has been shown that the quality of the relationship with parents influences the onset, course, and duration of eating disorders in a child, adolescent, or young adult. The...
