<p dir="ltr">Telehealth is an increasingly popular treatment option for people with Parkinson disease (PD). The SpeechVive device is a wearable device that uses the Lombard effect to help patients speak more loudly, slowly, and clearly. This study sought to examine the effectiveness of the device to improve communication in people with PD, delivered in-person and over a telehealth modality using an implementation science design. Sixty-six (66) people with PD were enrolled for twelve (12) weeks with thirty-four (34) choosing the in-person group and thirty-two (32) in the telehealth group. Participants were assessed pre-, mid-, and post-treatment. Participants produced continuous speech samples with and without the device at each timepoint. Sound pressure level (SPL), utterance length, pause frequency, and total pause duration were measured. Psychosocial questionnaires were administered to evaluate the effects of treatment on depression, self-efficacy, and participation. The in-person group increased SPL when wearing the device while the telehealth group did not. Both groups paused less often while wearing the device. Utterance length increased post-treatment for the telehealth group, but not for the in-person group. An increase in communication participation ratings in the telehealth group, but not the in-person group, was the only significant change in the psychosocial metrics. The in-person group showed similar treatment effects as previous studies. The device had less effect on intensity in the telehealth group but improved comminicative participation ratings more, as compared to in-person. One limitation was data loss due to recording issues that impacted the telehealth group more than the in-person group.</p>

For-profit postsecondary education rapidly expanded in the decade preceding the 2008 financial crisis. For-profit institutions enrolled 9% of undergraduate students in 2009, up from 3% in 2000. This growth that was promising is now troubling. Significant enrollment declines in 2010-2012, in light of regulatory risk, recent GAO reports, and public scrutiny of recruiting and lending practices, suggest the foundations are not stable. This paper will analyze recent strategic decisions in the for-profit postsecondary education market using the framework developed by Brewer, Gates, and Goldman (2002) and make predictions about firm strategies and the future of the industry.

This diploma thesis solves the construction and technological project of the Fire Brigade and the municipal office. The building is located in Martinique near Velké Meziříčí. The thesis deals with the study of the realization of the building, the technical report on the construction technological project, the time and financial plan of the building objects. The design of the building site equipment, the design of the machine assembly, the time machine deployment on the given technological stage and the balance of the workers are elaborated. This diploma thesis also focuses on the technological regulation of the roof structure design, the control and test plan and the risk assessment and the implementation of roofs. Part of the work is an item budget of the building and a detailed timetable.

In my master thesis I deal with construction and technological solutions of Residental House Hubertus in Karlova Studánka. Thesis mainly includes technical report of the construction technology project, coordination situation of building with relationships to the wider transportation routes, the implementation study of the main technological stages of the main building structure, technical report of building-site equipment with drawings of building-site equipment, design of the main building machines and mechanisms, project calculation budget, calculation of construction by the building structures, time schedule, technological prescription ceiling slab with inspection and test plan.

Master thesis solves construction and technological project which deals with data processing, documentation and technological processes of building reconstruction and extension realization in Muzeum of Česká Třebová. The work contains technological building study, assessment of relationships to the wider transportation routes, time and financial plan, building-site organization project, design of the main building machines and mechanisms, technological prescriptions for excavation work and micropile injection, occupational safety and health protection management, project calculation budget.
