Analysis focuses on Vladimír Nezkusil's and Otakar Chaloupka's theory and my own interpretations. John's children's literature was published during all his life so diploma can describe evolution in his works. In conclusion diploma will try summarizing, why John's books are not published any more.

This graduation thesis describes the personality of the Czech controversial poet, journalist, historian, pedagogue and writer Jaromír Hořec. He was born in Chust in present Ukraine. His original name was Jaromír Halhubner. The author of this study tries to collect the most important points of his life from the perspective of journalism. His life was full of opinion turns. The author tries to follow Horec's evolution of opinion over the course of his life. For one part of Czech society Jaromír Hořec was a demagogic leftist, hypocrite and opportunist, for another part Hořec was a major poet, writer and journalist. Both of these are somewhat true. The study tries to find answers for both opinion streams through the use of contemporary documents, the memories of witnesses and vocational literature.

The aim of this diploma thesis is to make available and analyze the production called Revue from the Case, which premiered on the experimental stage of the State Theatrical Studio Prague on March 25, 1968. This premiere was preceded by the successes of individual parts of the production at EXPO 58 in Brussels and EXPO 67 in Montreal. Based on the preserved archive materials for this production, whose main authors were Ladislav Rychman, Jiří Procházka and Jaromír Staněk, I will also attempt to name the basic principles, benefits and limits of Laterna magika.

The topic of the thesis is the issue of the status of songwriter Jaromír Nohavica and his work in the period of normalization. The contemporary circumstances and the context of the origin of his songs are hidden for the majority of people (especially for the younger generation). The basic question of the thesis is how far is the period of normalization in relation to the political system reflected in the songwriter's personal life and lyrics of his songs. The work is methodologically based on quantitative and qualitative content analysis and analysis of the period of normalization. The quantitative and qualitative content analysis is very unusual for political scinece.

The poetics of space is a very interesting field, which has been so far marginalized from the theoretic point of view in comparison with other types of the poetics of literary work. Fragmentary information devoted to this theme has often been hidden in theoretic works that applied the poetics of space to some specific literary works. To be able to start focusing myself on the poetics of space in fairy tales, I had to lay the basis for the poetics of space in the first part of my thesis. The basis is built by the chapters in which I was concerned with the poetics of literary work and where I collected, organized and made transparent actual theoretic information about the poetics of space and its parts, space and place. I used these chapters for the specification of the terms used in my thesis. That specification enabled me to focus on the poetics of space in the fairy tales in the second part of thesis. This thesis deals with the analysis of the media image of a hockey player Jaromir Jagr during the past 20 years (1994-2014), when he was a significant figure in the Czech national hockey team and one of the most outstanding athletes of the country. Qualitative analysis of the texts subjected primarily from three major newspapers (Sport, Mladá Fronta DNES, Blesk) is supplemented by examples from books and television programs. The research sample is defined by periods in which Jaromir Jagr have had publicity mainly due to the events in his sports career. Analysed periods mostly connect to major tournaments of hockey national team or to change of Jagr's employer. With the help of specific examples of each of the time periods this thesis describes the evolution of reporting about Jagr in Czech mass media. In terms of media theory it classifies analyzed media exposure with identifying myths and elements of celebritization contained in the texts. They make the media picture of Jagr different during the time. The analysis shows that the media image of Jaromir Jagr has undergone significant changes during the period. (in English): The diploma thesis deals with the specific conception of body and corporeality in fairy tales, especially with morbid elements which are often reflected as non-fairy tale. The fairy tales of Karel Jaromír Erben, Hans Christian Andersen and Oscar Wilde are the main focus. The thesis also introduces the theory of the Swiss scholar Max Lüthi formulated in The European Folktale: Form and Nature into the Czech context. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical section provides a complex explication of Max Lüthi's theory of the fairy tale. It examines the main terms that Luthi defined for the fairy tale: One-dimensionality, Depthlessness, Abstract Style, Isolation and Universal Interconnection, Sublimation and All-Inclusiveness. Then the frame of this theory is extended into the field of the authorial fairy tale. The diploma thesis then sums up the differences and the points of contact between those two subgenres using The Story of the Eldest Princess as an example. The practical part focuses on relevant strategies of handling the body and corporeality in fairy tales. The relationship between Czech and Russian avantgarde has not been properly examined, therefore the aim of this research was to understand the real facts and uncover “ the blind spots“ connected with the specific development of avantgarde architecture in Czechoslovakia and Soviet Union. A comprehensive and moreless thorough detailed reconstruction of the interwar period has been created with the help of comparative and historiographic analysis. This period used to be interpreted quite contrarily under the political pressure of the Soviet regime. The thesis analyses the influence of the political regime on architecture, determines the reflection of the events in the Soviet Union on the opinions of Czechoslovak architects by means of testimonies about mutual contacts, mutual criticism and cooperation in the sphere of architecture. The thesis brings and concludes new information regarding Czech architects who were designing and working in the Soviet Union. The research is based on archive documents, articles from specialized contemporary magazines and debates between Czech and Russian architects.

The main topic of this document is singer Jaromir Nohavica. I would like to describe the evolution of his poetics. The primary goal is to establish, that the year of revolution - 1989 is the critical impulse to his production. Reader is briefly introduced to Jaromir Nohavica's life, but also acquaint with concepts like popular culture and kitsch. Basically I focuse on Jaromir Nohavica's song poetics interpretation. The specific examples show that Nohavica shift towards the mainstream of popular literature, in thematic level, in level of production and presentation himself in the way of rendering Jaromir Nohavica, compared to songwriters of his time, does not lose the audience, he can beraised according to the new conditions and new age.

The thesis ‚Instruments of Employment Policy by Social Democratic Ministers Jaromír Nečas and Michaela Marksová-Tominová' deals with employment policy and joins recent and historici view on the topic. The thesis focuses on social democratic politician Jaromír Nečas, concerns on his views and the programme of the former Czechoslovak Social Democratic Workers' Party. It also aims on the present employment policy of the minister Michaela Marksová-Tominová and programme of recent ČSSD. The thesis compares instruments and means used to deal with unemployment by this ministers, it shows that both ministers had the same goals but sometimes different instruments: For exemple, public investition works disappeared but recvalification is much more used than efore.
