Watercourses and especially their riparian vegetation are habitats that are very sensitive to spreading of invasive plant species. Rivers create natural migration routes (corridors) and help propagules to spread quickly and easily. The theoretical part of this thesis is focused on plant invasions and covers also the most recent knowledge in the field of invasion ecology. In the practical part of this thesis the spread of invasive neophytes in the riparian vegetation of the Kamenice river in Northern Bohemia is described. The plant species were examined during the field survey along the entire stream of the Kamenice river. In total, common occurence of 7 invasive taxa were recorded, namely Impatiens parviflora, I. glandulifera, Reynoutria japonica, R. sachalinensis, R. bohemica, Solidago gigantea and S. canadensis. The distribution of observed taxa along the stream as well as on the banks was relatively uneven.

The work deals with the assessment of the stream Chribska Kamenice current state in the village Vsemily urban area. The aim of the project is the assessment of capacity and the current state of the stream-bed. Based on an assessment measure there has been designed the improvement suggestion of the current state and flood protection increasing in close neighbourhood.

This thesis deals with local fees and real estate taxes in the town of Kamenice nad Lipou. The first, theoretic part of thesis describes present legislative adjustments of local fees and taxation of real estate in the Czech Republic. After it given to the situation in the specific town. In this practical part analyzes the development of the individual fees and real estate taxes in the period between 2005 and 2011 and then the predication of development in 2012.

The thesis The Sisters of Mercy of St. Borromeo on example selected institutions of social care 1948-1989 is focused at three institutions of social care for mentally handicapped persons, in which The Sisters of Mercy of St. Borromeo worked during the communist régime. The aim of the work is not only to compile the history and development of the three researched institutes of social care from the available primary sources but also to analyze and compare the information found in the conclusion. In the final analysis, we follow mainly the beginnings of individual institutes, then the lives of sisters and inmates in all examined institutes, and in the end we focus on the termination of the work of nuns in individual institutes. The first of the examined places is the institute of social care in Hrabice, where nuns worked from 1949 to 1989. The second of the researched institutes was located in the years 1953 to 1983 in the village of Komorní Lhotka. The third research institute was located in the town of Česká Kamenice, where nurses worked there from 1953 to 1980. From the mid-nineteenth century the North Bohemian industrial area, populated mostly by Germans, experienced an unprecedented urban and demographic growth. The onset of the industrial revolution meant a major breaking point, in particular because the following periods shaped it most notably.The characteristic trait of the cities is a precipitous urban development with building boom. Thereby an impressive scrum of mutually coexisting industrial complexes, palatial villas, spectacular public buildings, generous garden districts and small town housing projects originated, creating the peculiar local genius loci. The border areas have always been a busy crossroads of cultures, histories and ideologies, in which Czechs, Germans and Jews mingled and interacted with each other, and thus they reflect the complex ethnic relations in the territory of today's Czech Republic. Diploma thesis The Brownfield solutions within the Czech republic - Tepna Náchod, solves the unused territory after the former textile factory in close proximity to the historical centre of the city.
