Tvorba elektronických studijních opor pro moderní vyučování chemie / Creation of electronic materials for chemistry education

Váňová, Petra January 2014 (has links)
Creation of electronic materials for chemistry education Bc. Petra Váňová Faculty of Science, Charles University in Prague, 2014 The theme of my thesis is formation of educational instruments/tools for distance education and e-learning which at the same time can be inspirational for teachers of present learning. The theoretical section elaborates on the problems of distance education and e-learning. Furthermore, it describes Moodle, the system for teaching management. For the purpose of the applied section two teaching units were created during the class of Didactics of Organic Chemistry (MC280P06) at Department of Teaching and Didactics of Chemistry, Faculty of Science, Charles University in Prague. The two units focus on the problematic of carboxylic acids and their derivatives. Beside the information about these topics, the contents of the teaching units should provide the students with an insight into modern study tools which increase the effectiveness of distance education as well as present learning. The teaching units are supplemented by study texts, Power Point presentations, handouts with key answers, projects/designs of chemical experiments applying theoretical knowledge to practical level, and a test designed for verifying the improvement of the course participants. The study tools were...

In-matrix esterifikace polárních karboxylových kyselin v moči / In-matrix esterification of polar carboxylic acids in urine

Anýžová, Petra January 2014 (has links)
A set of 15 carboxylic acids of various structural types was used to test a new procedure of esterification of these substances in the urine without previous extraction. The acids were first measured by a reference method without the matrix, and then by a procedure, where lyophilized urine was treated with derivatizing reagent alcohol·HCl, which was then evaporated, the residue dissolved in water, esters extracted into an organic solvent and subsequently determined by GC/FID and GC/MS. The work is mainly focused on 2-hydroxyethyl- and carboxymethyl-mercapturic acids, but the procedure was also tested on di-, tri- and hydroxy-carboxylic acids, known as physiological urinary components or markers of metabolic disorders. Key words: carboxylic acids mecapturic acids freeze-dried urine esterification gas chromatography

Detailní charakterizace pyrolýzního oleje pomocí separačních technik a hmotnostní spektrometrie / Detailed characterization of pyrolysis oil by separation techniques and mass spectrometry

Žvaková, Veronika January 2017 (has links)
The aim of this work is detailed characterization of pyrolysis oil by advanced analytical separation methods and mass spectrometry. During the pyrolysis process decomposition of complex organic material take place in the presence of high temperatures and the absence of oxygen. Condensable part of vapours and aerosols forms viscous liquid called pyrolysis oil which is a complex mixture of large amount of compounds. In this work samples from microwave pyrolysis of woodchips and sewage sludge from wastewater treatment plant Brno-Modřice were analysed. Samples were provided by Bionic Laboratories company. Samples were separated by column chromatography on activated silica. For detailed characterization of each fraction gas chromatography with mass spectrometry detection and comprehensive two-dimensional gas chromatography with mass spectrometric detection with time of flight analyser were used. Substances that have been identified can be divided into several groups: alkanes, alkenes, aromatic hydrocarbons, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, alcohols, aldehydes, esters, carboxylic acid and heterocycles.
