This thesis introduce readers with a role of Dorabella and the opera Così fan tutte. At first from a general aspects of literature which was allready written but also according advices and observation from experiences of opera singers, who performed this role. It is offering several views for one and the same role.

The main goal of this thesis is to create a complex review of the classicism period mainly focused on musicians who played trumpet during this period and played concerts in Czech region and sorrounding area. Sources of this thesis are publications, lexicons and other records describing work of interprets. Information were mailny sourced from account books and notes about concerts and music activities in church. This thesis is further focused on connection of the music life and the political situation. Life conditions and salary of czech musicians is also desribed. This information was mostly sourced from notes about musicians working in Olomouc city - center of Moravia and of the Silesian administrative area. Places where chateau orchestras existed are also described. This thesis also describes the practically last important part of evolution of the brass instruments.

The following theoretical work titled MOZART'S SONGS FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF THE INTERPRETER has been written on the grounds of the personal experience of the author with the interpretation of Mozart's work. It discusses the history of the origin of nine selected songs, which have been analysed from the vocal-interpretive standpoint and from the standpoint of tectonic structure and musical form. Primarily, the analysis is an expert treatise of the vocal technique field enriched by the components of the historically informed interpretation.

The topic of my Master's graduation thesis is the music of the 18th century and the importance of Czech composers in the context of the whole Europe.At the beginning of the work we are led into the historic consequences where there is a brief introduction of the political and social situation and where the status of a musician in the world of those times and his role are discussed. Then Czech musicality and its importance for European Classicism are referred to.In the following chapters the musical environment in the Czech lands are dealt with, together with the importance of Czech schoolmasters' families and castle orchestras in our countries. The consecutive chapter deals with the Czech emigration, music centres and institutions in Europe and other crucial events of the 18th century. The 8th chapter focuses on the types of compositions in the period of Classicism and their use in practice. The final chapter gives a detailed overview of the compositions for four hands for keyboard instruments in the 18th century, specifically the composers, music examples for compositions for four hands and at the very end the author's own experience of four-hands keyboard playing is shared.

Abstract: The thesis treats the works of Jean-Baptiste Poquelin also known as Molière and their legacy in modern Czech theatre. It characterizes French society of the seventeenth century and the main features of contemporary philosophical and artistic styles, focusing on the dramatic creation of classicism. It also summarizes the life of Molière and his work, subdividing it according to generic, formal and thematic criteria. Within this frame, it gives a detailed analysis of the most important plays, representing the individual categories. It also studies the modern Czech theatrical stage. Focusing on the historical context, it explores the development of the stage from the end of the Second World War until nowadays. It gives a complex outline of Molière's plays presented during the different periods, evaluating the influence of cultural and historical context on the particular interpretation. This evaluation is based on the information presented in contemporary press and promotional materials of the given theatres and thus examines Molière's plays performed on Czech theatre stages in the present. This thesis is dealing with life and work of Anton Schmidt, the remarkable architect of czech late baroque period. The text focuses mainly on his sacral architecture, especially on St. Michael Archanděl in Smržovka, which represents the notable example of baroque dynamism in czech architecture of the second half of the 18th century. Anton Schmidt is recognized as very important figure of czech late baroque architecture. He followed the tradition of domestic high baroque epoque and the work of K. I. Dientzenhofer. But on the other hand, Schmidt introduced various motifs of neoclasicissm very early into czech milieu. Therefore the typical feature of his architecture is the synthesis of styles combined with refine architectural language. His most important works are - besides the church in Smržovka - church St. Bartoloměj in Černouček, Kounický palace in Prague- Malá Strana and castle in Zahrádky u České Lípy. This thesis brings also a new discovery of previously unknown Schmid's structure - church St. Jan Nepomucký na Poušti in Železný Brod.

This thesis focuses on the interpretation of harpsichord sonatas written by Josef Antonín Štěpán / Joseph Anton Steffan (1726–1797), who was an important figure in Viennese musical life of the eighteenth century. His works influenced a large number of his contemporaries, including Joseph Haydn, Jan Křtitel Vaňhal, Leopold Koželuh, and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. His compositional procedures departed from period conventions: a number of his sonatas and concertos for keyboard instruments begin with a slow introduction to an opening fast movement; he experimented with one-movement forms (sonatas, capriccios); in 1778 he published the very first collection of Germans songs with piano accompaniment in Vienna. The foundation for his music is his detailed knowledge of counterpoint and thoroughbass practice, and he draws on influences from Italian music, Czech folk music, the Gallant style and the Sensitive style. In his late works, he even arrives at a Pre-Romantic style. It is incomprehensible that he has nearly been forgotten in spite of his fame in his own day. In an attachement there is enclosed a critical edition of Steffan´s sonatas, PicŠ. 19–21 issued in ARTA (April 2017). In my master's thesis I will focus on the harpsichord. This instrument is usually classified as a baroque instrument, but in Bohemia the harpsichord experienced its greatest prosperity in Classicism. I will focus on the characteristics of the instrument and differences between the harpsichord and the piano. I will also try to characterize the classical work for harpsichord, the form of a classical solo concerto and the specifics of the interpretation of compositions on harpsichord and piano. Than I will examine the work for harpsichord by Jan Křtitel Vaňhal, put the composition in the context of the author's concert work and determine the diferences between the concerto for harpsichord and the piano concerto in Classicism in Bohemia. Finally, I will comment on the new complete score of Jan Křtitel Vaňhal's Harpsichord Concerto in C major, which I will compare with his Piano Concerto in A major. I also want to create a theoretical basis for the attached new completation of full score of Concerto in C major by J. K. Vaňhal. The thesis is aimed at the subject of classicism in a broader sense of this term and is based on the classicism period architecture in the Czech Republic. The introductory chapter intends to briefly and independently define and clarify the terms classical, classicism and neoclassicism, deal with the shaping of the classical canon in Europe and outline the evolution of classical features in the history of the Czech architecture in the European context. In separate chapters the thesis systematically follows the matters of classicism in the first half of the 19th century, in the periods of pure and late historicism and early and paramount modernism. Special attention has been paid to the matters of classicism in the Czech thoughts on art in the interwar period and during the German occupation. Having analysed the classicism-style tendencies in the socialist realism architecture the thesis identifies basic classicism-style aspirations in the 2nd half of the 20th century and in the beginning of the 21st century. The final chapter is dedicated to the identification of the main overall specifics of classicism in the Czech architecture based on a list of examples.

This thesis deals with a chamber music, especially for a woodwind instruments in the classicism. In the beginning we focus on the general aspects of the classicism and thereafter we continuously approach a musical classicism which we divide into three periods.
