Způsobilost osob praktikujích canisterapii v České republice / Competence of persons practicing canistheraphy in the Czech Republic

The diploma thesis focuses on the area of canine therapy as one of forms of the zoo-therapy, which is a part of comprehensive rehabilitation methods. Canine therapy serves as a support of the psychosocial health of clients from all age groups, where a presence of a dog is used. It is method widely used in social work, social rehabilitation and physiotherapy. The theoretical part if the diploma thesis has been divided into two parts. The first part deals with a field of the zoo-therapy and it focuses on a terminology in that field, its history or methods and forms of the zoo-therapy. It notices, however, also umbrella organizations in the zoo-therapy, Czech as well as international ones. The second part is devoted to the canine therapy from its beginning, i. e. since the beginning of a man´s coexistence with a dog. The theoretical part describes possibilities for providing the canine therapy in accordance with the current legislation. The author also devotes to a composition and training of a canine therapy team and to its preparation for passing of the canine therapy tests. Currently, there is missing a database of people who are engaged in the canine therapy in practice. An aim of the practical part of the diploma thesis is to design such a database structure that would allow an easier contact among these people and therefore an easier access to getting relevant information and experience. The database should contain information for people who are supposed to be interested in services of canine therapy teams. The author published a call in magazines Dog ? Man´s Friend and Dog´s World on websites. The call addressed people practising the canine therapy and it invited them to participate in the research. A technique of e-mail survey (CAMI) was used to collect the data. Further a questionnaire with open questions was used. The other used technique was a content analysis of documents. The database of people practising canine therapy in the Czech Republic has been created. At the same time the collected information has provided a basis to compare competences of these people. The database could be used in order to improve a communication, an exchange experience and a complex development of the field.

This thesis is devoted to the theme of the development of soft skills trainers' competencies. A special attention has been paid to the various roles that a trainer has when performing his/her job and the related competencies that are essential for high-quality mastering of this profession. The focal points are the possibilities of trainers' teaching competence development within formal and informal education that a trainer has during preparatory as well as further education with special emphasis on the methods that can be employed to achieve this education. The empiric part of this thesis maps the ways of acquiring trainer's competencies as they occur in practice, their connection with further professional development. At the same time it verifies the suitability of the methods that are used to develop competencies. Based on the interpretation of information provided by the respondents and study of relevant literature, a methodological concept of education of a trainer has been developed.

This dissertation is addressing research competence as part of teacher professional standard. Thesis is divided into two parts. Theoretical part deals with teacher competencies especially with research competency as part of Teacher standard which is defined in Teacher career system. It describes teacher research and in line with it is also mentioned professional inquiry used by teachers, its characteristics and application in teachers practice. In the field of teacher research it is focusing on action research in education system. Practical part is describing combined research where questionnaire and following interview are used as research tool. The aim of the thesis is to determine the level of respondents'opinions for the needs of introducing the headmaster`s profession and its influence on the quality of the school management with a potential impact on the overall level of education in the Czech Republic. The thesis also submits analyses of levels of knowledge in certain areas of management competences and assesses their importance for management work of the headmaster as basis for setting standards and headmaster` s career. The first part of the thesis include theoretical knowledge of school management. It introduces the preparation and filling of school managerial staff. It also introduces the creation of a competency model as a tool for selection, evaluation and further development of training school headmasters.
