Role cytokininů v regulaci vyrůstání pupenů hrachu

Vetter, Martin January 2017 (has links)
The diploma thesis was aimed to explain the role of cytokinins in regulation of cotyledonary bud outgrowth in pea (Pisum sativum L.). Decapitation of the apex and subsequent application of IAA lanolin paste containing also BAP caused increased expression of genes PsDRM1 and PsBRC1 associated with dormancy. It suggests that cytokinins may have effect on the amount of transported auxin in the major stem. Application of cytokinin to the cotyledonary buds of intact plants activated their outgrowth. Imunolocalization showed polarization of PIN1 proteins in the treated buds, on contrary to untreated buds. It means that cytokinin directly influenced polarization of PIN1 proteins and the subsequent canalization of the polar auxin transport.

Limity demokracie / Limits of demokracy

Folková, Zsófia January 2019 (has links)
The central themes of the thesis are the limits of democracy, the qualities that distinguish it from other political regimes, the criteria necessary for its existence, and the character of the regimes that arise if one or more of these criteria are not met. The first part of the thesis presents fundamental concepts and theories that deal with these questions, the goal of the second part is to apply these theoretical considerations to a particular case, namely Hungary. The first part focuses primarily on the definition of democracy and non-democracy, on the functioning and characteristics of regimes in the "grey area" between democracy and authoritarianism, on the definitions of relevant terms and on the ways in which various theories of democracy, authoritarianism and hybrid regimes approach these concepts and definitions. The first chapter presents the theories of democracy that are relevant to the discussion about hybrid regimes: the minimalist concept, the procedural minimum and the extended procedural minimum. The second chapter focuses on the definition of the opposite of democracy, the third chapter presents a cognitive-linguistic approach to the links between democracy and authoritarianism. The last two chapters of the first part offer a brief overview of the theories of hybrid regimes and...

Online algoritmy pro rozvrhování paketů / Online Algorithms for Packet Scheduling

Veselý, Pavel January 2018 (has links)
We study online scheduling policies for buffer management models, in which packets are arriving over time to a buffer of a network switch to be sent through its single output port. However, the bandwidth of the port is limited and some packets need to be dropped, based on their weights. The goal of the scheduler is to maximize the weighted throughput, that is, the total weight of packets transmitted. Due to the natural lack of information about future, an optimal performance cannot be achieved, we thus pursue competitive analysis and its refinements to analyze online algorithms on worst-case inputs. Specifically, in the first part of the thesis, we focus on a simple online scheduling model with unit-size packets and deadlines, called Bounded-Delay Packet Scheduling. We design an optimal φ-competitive deterministic algo- rithm for the problem, where φ ≈ 1.618 is the golden ratio. It is based on a detailed understanding of an optimal schedule of pending packets, called the plan, which may be of independent interest. We also propose a semi-online setting with lookahead that allows the algorithm to see a little bit of future, namely, packets arriving in the next few steps. We provide an algorithm with lookahead for instances in which each packet can be scheduled in at most two consecutive slots and prove lower...

Vliv transportu auxinu na regulaci vyrůstání kotylárních pupenů hrachu

Macoszek, Ondřej January 2016 (has links)
The diploma thesis was aimed on role of polar auxin transport in regulation of cotyledonary bud outgrowth in pea plants (Pisum sativum L.) in relation to competitive canalization of auxin sources. Decapitation of growth apex, as primary source of auxin, causes release of cotyledonary buds from inhibition. This was followed by increased expression of genes for auxin transport proteins PsPIN1 and PsAUX1 and decrease in PsDRM1 and PsBR1 gene expression that are related to dormant state of plant tissues. In the next phase, different types of exogenous auxin application on decapitated stumps and cotyledonary bud growth dynamic were carried out. Auxin application on decapiteded stump caused inhibition of cotyledonary bud growth, its application on right or left side of the stump inhibits cotyledonary bud on the side of application. If auxin on the both sides of stump was applied, cotyledonary bud growth was not inhibited, on contrary to their separation with a plastic sheet, which resulted in significant growth inhibition of both buds. In case of both-sided application, these sources of auxin prevents each other in canalization. If these two sources of auxin were separated with a plastic sheet, canalization of auxin flow was observed and two independent auxin channels were formed. Analogy of this competition can be expected in the case of cotyledonary buds, as two potential auxin sources.

Mezi demokracií a autoritářstvím. Typologie hybridních režimů s důrazem na koncept kompetitivního autoritářství / Between democracy and authoritarianism. Typology of hybrid regimes with emphasis on the concept of competitive authoritarianism

Drahokoupil, Štěpán January 2011 (has links)
The diploma paper addresses an issue of a discussion about hybrid regimes, which deals with problems of hard classification of regimes on scale of democracy, authoritarianism. The paper proves from methodological point of view that it is possible to use concept of hybrid regimes and presents the most important concepts. The two case studies of countries Peru and Ukraine are studied within the frame of the concept of competitive authoritarianism. A part of the paper deals with Czech literature about the hybrid regimes.

Generování realistických snímků obloh / Generation of realistic skydome images

Špaček, Jan January 2020 (has links)
Generation of realistic skydome images We aim to generate realistic images of the sky with clouds using generative adversarial networks (GANs). We explore two GAN architectures, ProGAN and StyleGAN, and find that StyleGAN produces significantly better results. We also propose a novel architecture SuperGAN which aims to generate images at very high resolutions, which cannot be efficiently handled using state-of-art architectures. 1

Adsorpce pesticidů na granulovaném aktivním uhlí při úpravě vody / Adsorption of pesticides onto granular activated carbon in water treatment process

Kopecká, Ivana January 2010 (has links)
The diploma thesis is aimed at adsorption processes during the removal of pesticides onto granular activated carbon (GAC) in the process of drinking water treatment. Adsorption onto GAC represents an efficient method for pesticides removal. High adsorption efficiency can be significantly reduced due to the occurrence of natural organic matter (NOM) in raw water, which involves AOM (Algal Organic Matter) produced by phytoplankton. Analogous to NOM, AOM probably affects adsorption of pesticides by two different mechanisms - a direct site competition and pore blockage effect, in dependence on the different molecular weight of particular AOM fractions. Equilibrium batch and kinetic adsorption experiments were performed using two types of GAC (Norit 1240 and Filtrasorb 400) and two pesticides (terbuthylazine and alachlor). In order to examine the effect of AOM on adsorption of pesticides, raw GAC and GAC preloaded by AOM were used. The effect of pH on the competitive adsorption of AOM was also evaluated. A solid phase extraction (SPE) method and gas chromatography with electron capture detection (GC-ECD) were used to determine pesticides in water samples. AOM was characterized using fractionation onto sorptive resins. The representation of apparent molecular weights of AOM proteins was determined by...

Rekonstrukce chybějících části obličeje pomocí neuronové sítě / Reconstruction of Missing Parts of the Face Using Neural Network

Marek, Jan January 2020 (has links)
Je představen model generativní kompetitivní sítě využívající kombinaci hrazených konvolučních vrstev a víceškálových bloků schopný realisticky doplnit oblasti obličeje zakryté maskou.
