Kontraurbanizace: rytmy, identity, domovy / Counterurbanisation: rhytmus, identities, homes

Šimon, Martin January 2012 (has links)
8 Abstract Counterurbanisation research, which is a central topic of this thesis, represents an appropriate field where transformations of contemporary societies and their socio- spatial organization can be examined. The dynamics of social and societal changes creates a demand for developing new methods and tools which helps us to understand contemporary change. Counterurbanisation is a multi-faceted concept which has been controversial since its initial use. An introduction of the concept of counterurbanisation in the field of population geography provoked a general debate on new and emerging trends in development of settlement system. Different logics of concentration and deconcentration of human activities has been challenged. Counterurbanisation operationalized as a migration poses a challenge for many standard conceptualizations of migration. The logic of non-economically motivated migration from the centre to the periphery requires a search for alternative explanatory mechanisms. Impact assessment and the impact of counterurbanisation in rural communities are analogous to the classical social science studies evaluating the integration of immigrants from rural areas in the cities. The thesis is composed of two basic sections. The first section presents a broader theoretical and methodological...

Obnova venkova - příklad malé obce / Rural renewal - a small village example

Hušková, Barbora January 2017 (has links)
This thesis, created under the topic of rural renewal, illustrates the rural area and its renewal topic on the example of a small village, specifically East Bohemian village Kosice. To do so it firstly defines a theoretical platform consisting of core concepts in rural areas such as country, village, municipality and influencing entities. The second part of this thesis contains theoretical studies focusing on rural development and renewal with the definition of development support instruments, levels and entities; it also describes potentials and summarizes factors and trends affecting rural life, including migration trends. The first practical part studies and analyzes Kosice, its development over time and current situation which enables inclusion of the village among the rural ones and determination of the research basis. The actual research is based on acquired theoretical and practical knowledge. To consider local specifics a qualitative research consisting of an interview with a mayor is carried out, followed by a quantitative research through questionnaire survey to gain the residents´ perspective on the current development and the possible future development of the village. The results are processed using statistical methods and used to propose recommendations to the village for its future activities according to the obtained opinion of its population.

Transformation of Czech society after 1989 caused changes in spatial migration patterns. After strong socialist urbanization and during post-socialist suburbanization, people also began to move from towns to more remote rural areas. Firstly, the thesis briefly analyzes the long-term population development of individual municipalities with extended power of South Bohemia in the context of the whole Czechia and then analyzes the types (positional and size) of rural municipalities of South Bohemia when solving their population growth, stagnation or depopulation and reveals the role of natural currency and migration balance in this population development. The main part of the thesis is an analysis of the internal migration of municipalities of South Bohemia in 1992-2017, namely migration flows between rural municipalities (semi-peripheral and peripheral) on the one hand and urban regions, including core towns (important and less important) and surrounding suburban municipalities, on the second hand. Cortijeros en La Alpujarra: Od lifestylové migrace k úvahám o pozitivní antropologii / Cortijeros en La Alpujarra: From the Lifestyle migration to Thinking about a Positive Anthropology

Varhaník Wildová, Kateřina January 2017 (has links)
Lifestyle migrants from the affluent North move to the Mediterranean region intensively from the 80's. Lifestyle migration to Spain takes different forms: here we meet rich yacht owners in Marbella, retired people in the housing complexes in Almuñecar, or surfers in Tarifa. This work focused on people, who chose their new place in the region of La Alpujarra. They live in the remote houses called cortijos, which gave name to their inhabitants - cortijeros. Their lifestyles are the subject of this work, together with more general strategies practiced in lifestyle migration, the skills needed in such a move, and values they pursue. Ten years of research enabled to get together both, opinions and plans of the newcomers in the region, and their activities, stories, and imprints in the real world. I try to present different perspectives: the lens of lifestyle migration, counter-urbanization, material culture anthropology, history, positive psychology. At the end, I propose to think a positive anthropology that would focus on studying such practices that seemed to work towards understanding "the good life"; that work towards both individual well-being, and creating social structures considerate to humans and the environment.
