Hřebíčková, Marie January 2014 (has links)
The diploma thesis describe the past, examine the prresent and proposes the future of Kraví hora (Cow hill), Brno hill, which has retained its panorama undeveloped until now. It seeks to develop the potential of the place without suppression of the genius loci. It endeavours to remove barriers and make the space more penetrable by using a dense network of roads and foothpaths. It unites the area with a variety of features in a large city park. It offers a new sollution of the conflict - a city park versus a garden colony - by their interconnection and taking advantage of this symbiosis.

Areál VUT Kraví hora / BUT Area Kraví hora

Kříčková, Zuzana January 2018 (has links)
The content of the thesis is an architectural study, which proposes a new use of the grounds of the VUT area on Kraví hora. The aim was to combine the interests of VUT and the City of Brno in this extraordinary territory for the benefit of both subjects. The study addresses not only the VUT land, but also the whole area of Kraví hora, which is one of the unique green spaces in the center of Brno. The High School of Technology at Kraví Hora is one of the most valuable areas of the city of Brno. Just like the rest of Kravi hora. But we are talking about a territory that is scattered over several sub-sections. The biggest problem of the whole mountain is impenetrability and lack of solidarity. Kraví hora is a place that has served history, relaxation, afternoon activities and family trips. Today, it is mainly used as a gardening colony - the private sector. From another part there are spaces that are leased to different companies and private owners. However, the use of these spaces, in most cases, does not correspond to the character that has long since existed. Another problem is poor transport accessibility, low capacity of parking spaces and large distances from the area to public transport stops. In the interest of the City of Brno, cultivation of the Kraví hora as urban green space and the creation of a whole green park, which will serve primarily the public.

Areál VUT Kraví hora / BUT Area Kraví hora

Muroň, Jakub January 2018 (has links)
The subject of this diploma thesis is to continue on the previous atelier work, which was focused on elaboration of a strategic urban-architectural study of the Kraví hora area and the BUT holding located there. A multifunctional facility, which would include activities that BUT still lacks, should be designed there. In any case, it should not be an extension of the teaching, research or accommodation capacities, since there have been built enough of these by BUT recently. At the same time, the proposed activities should not be controversial with the interests of the city. The BUT area at Kraví hora is one of the most valuable areas of the city of Brno. The city, which has tried to buy it from BUT several times, has an eminent interest in this area. However BUT considers it as its "family silver", because they realize its extraordinary value. Nevertheless, due to the binding regulatory conditions, construction possibilities are very limited. The aim of this study is to find such a use of this area, which would be a compromise corresponding to both the city's expectations and the needs of BUT. The intention of the previous project, which has been continued by this diploma thesis, was the removal of unsatisfactory buildings and the reduction of the garden colonies; despite to a study created by the City of Brno but partially kept, cultivated and reorganized; and rebuilding of the BUT area, which will be opened to the public and communicate with park. The public will obtain an access to nowadays inaccessible and impermeable areas by removing inappropriate buildings and fences, as well as by the modification of the public space and creating one major spine communication realized as an extension of the existing road and which will serve only for the supply, hikers and cyclists. The newly founded BUT complex with its strategic location on the top of Kraví hora hill and next to the observatory will invite large number of people not only from the surroundings but a

Kraví hora - rodinné stříbro VUT / Kraví hora - BUT Family silver

Juračková, Lenka Unknown Date (has links)
The subject of this diploma thesis is an architectonic study, which deals with the new usage of the premises of VUT at Kravi Hora. Big part of Kravi Hora forms a park, which from the west is close to Namesti Miru and from the east side there are buildings of Faculty of Civil Engineering. This territory along with Spilberk, Luzanky and Wilsonuv Les form the green, environmental friendly, part of Brno. The Main advantage of this territory is that it brings lot of green parking places to the city and there are many places for spending free time, such as; swimming pool, baseball court and an observatory. The big disadvantage of this area is the bad transmittance of this area. There are no quality roads connecting Kravi hora and there is a slanting ground through this area. There are lots of objects which do not fit with the usage and they only bring here the traffic. There is a designed plan consisting of rather limiting regulations for this territory when the whole area is used for parking lots and sport activities and holiday objects. And in addition to that, the area is closed to public transport. The purpose of this study is to respect the territorial plans and the interests of the city as much as possible and at the same time use the property of VUT for a representation of the University, getting new students in and creating a place where all the generations can spend their free time. Despite of this study still respects The Territory Plan and interests of the City of Brno. In my study I design there the museum of VUT, the students club, ateliers for new graduates, study room, workroom the public and objects for presentation of VUT faculties set into the area of Kravi hora park in a way that it would fit into the natural character of this place.

Kraví hora - rodinné stříbro VUT / Kraví hora - BUT Family silver

Prosseková, Jarmila Unknown Date (has links)
The focus of this thesis is an architectural study of the Kraví Hora area in Brno in a 1:200 scale. The area is significant in both size and location, but has been underutilized up to this point. The objective of the thesis is to discover a solution acceptable for the city of Brno as well as BUT, whose intentions with the area differ significantly. The area has been designed to have recreational spaces of greenery. Traffic has been either largely reduced, or eliminated entirely. A wide variety of sports, eductational programs and recreational activities has been made available for visitors of all ages. The objective of the planned area is to inspire and positively motivate the study of technology and interest in science via its functional design. Exhibition areas, lecture halls, rentable workspaces for graduates, a recruitment center and general storage spaces has been designed in the area. The design of the buildings is based around the incline of the plot – they have a maximum of one extra floor over the level of the surrounding terrain. The green roof and the vertical outer layer of laminated timber is designed to provide a natural character to the structures. The predominantly horizontal area is granted an element of verticality in the form of a lookout tower.

Dostavba objektů určených pro FA a FaVU VUT Brno v areálu Údolní / Completion of the area Údolní 53 for the Faculty of Architecture and Faculty of Fine Arts

Vrabcová, Anežka January 2017 (has links)
The proposed VUT Art Campus is situated around the area of the streets Úvoz, Údolní, Tvrdého, Všetičkova and Jiříkovského. It lies in between two of the Brno’s most attractive recreational spots, Špilberk and Kraví hora. The project offers a creative solution of connecting two VUT’s faculties, the Faculty of Architecture and the Faculty of Fine Arts. An important part of the proposal is the gallery of the students’ works which also serves as a connecting element between the faculties. One of the main objectives is the creation of the Green Line originating at Špilberk and finishing at Kraví hora. As such, the campus works as a cultural point of interest on the way around the city. The whole concept aims to highlight the uniqueness of the faculties while stretching the importance of their interconnection and the need of a co-operation.

Kraví hora - rodinné stříbro VUT / Kraví hora - BUT Family silver

Šagátová, Patrícia January 2019 (has links)
The diploma thesis deals with design of the polyfunctional center and the whole complex for the Brno University of Technology, which would serve for its representation. The land is in Brno on Kraví hora and its location has huge potential. However, the area is not used by the university, so the existing buildings are in poor condition. Therefore, the aim of the proposal is to find a suitable use of the land that would meet the university's requirements together with the city's intentions.

Náměstí míru - dostavba a rekonstrukce veřejného prostoru v Brně / Náměstí míru - extension and rehabilitation of public space in Brno

Šarmanová, Zuzana January 2017 (has links)
The goal of my work was to design a good working complex of buildings with a diverse functional structure which is missing in Masaryk's district a little. The design is highly influenced by the character of Masaryk's quarter, transport solutions and other factors that emerged from individual territorial analyzes. Crucial to my design was the position of the tram loop. I decided to move the loop to the park, which allowed me to create a quiet square for people and not for transport. Designed apartment houses create block structure by their shape and layout. The site is densely bulit with terraced houses that appear in this locality. Another inspiration for me was the area around Pod kaštany Street. Buildings are designed as a four-storey. The fourth floor is retreated to three-meter to creating roof terraces for flats in last storey. The mass of the house is created by simple blocks with an average size of 72 x 12 m. They are curved at the end to create form a block structure. There is always a 9 m space between these intersections, which forms the entrance to the courtyard. The views of the courtyards repeat the principle of distance between family houses with views of their private gardens. In addition to residential buildings, I have also designed a library with a social center, a town hall that creates a counterbalance to the church of St. Augustine and also a smaller sports hall. All these buildings work together to bring more diversity into Masaryk's neighborhood, whether in terms of civic amenities or social composition of the population.

Náměstí míru - dostavba a rekonstrukce veřejného prostoru v Brně / Náměstí míru - extension and rehabilitation of public space in Brno

Bělovský, Michal January 2017 (has links)
Diploma thesis „Náměstí Míru – extension and rehabilitation of public space in Brno“ deals with the analysis of the current state of defined part of Masaryk district, the evaluation of the problems of the imaginary city center and the design of buildings along with the working transport solution. The aim of the thesis is to define „Náměstí Míru“ as a functional public space, that people can identify with. To modify traffic solutions to avoid confused situations and collisions between pedestrians, trams and cars. To design new buildings to replace brownfields, create new housing units, and offer opportunities for using an active parterre. Emphasis is placed on modern urbanistic approaches and views of the 21st century, compact building, multifunctionality of buildings, and prioritization of city planning and public spaces with priority on human, his interests, needs, and everyday life.
