The thesis documents and analyse the current situation of the saw-mill in Olomoučany. The saw-mill was established by Školní lesní podnik Masarykův les Křtiny which is an organizational part of Mendel University in Brno. Further, alternatives of possible adjustments relating to efficiency of main saw-mill machinery, sawn wood production, the shift operation and evidence are proposed. The third part recommends optimal adjustments for current saw-mill equipment which take into account processed products and technological state of the equipment.

The subject of the thesis is a design of a single-floor detached house with a frame construction for a family of four to five members in Přibyslav. The house of a bungalow type is designed for a specific building site with a slightly sloping terrain. The basic idea of the assignment is a presumption that the timber for the construction will be taken as round timber from own wood. The theoretical part of the work deals with the definition of the requirements and regulations for developing of necessary technical documentation for the realization of the wooden house. Subsequently, defects and the protection of the wood are described as well as the types of saws, which is necessary for processing of the practical part of the thesis. The principal part of the thesis leads to the realization of the design documentation of a specific house which is essential for the calculation of the amount of the timber for the realization of the construction and for the comparison of the options of round timber logging, moving it closer, its transport and cutting. For comparing there is another option which is considered: the ready-to-use timber is purchased and the round timber from the wood is sold. The conclusion of the work deals with the summarizing and evaluating of the discussed issue.

The thesis deals with an overview of cubical and qualitative lumber yield at sawmill in Olomučany – Training Forest Enterprise Masaryk forest, which is a part of the Mendel University of Agriculture and Forestry in Brno. There is an actual overview of the specific and qualitative structure of assortment that is processed at the sawmill depending on mechanical and technological equipment of the company. Furthermore, the thesis contains a comparison of individual lumber yields depending on its structure. There are appropriate precautions designed to optimise and streamline the overall sawmill operation with regard to the mechanical equipment and the processed assortment.

The diploma thesis includes a proposal for a new sawmill operation in Vortová, ORP Hlinsko, Pardubice Region for owners of surrounding forests of the Bishopric of Kralovehradecka, which manages the company with restricted constraints Diocesan forests Hradec Králové, s.r.o. On the theme the suggestion of sawmill Diocesan Forests in Hradec Králové in Vortová. The owner's request is the creation of a pilot plant project, including technology, technological arrangement, machinery of operation at the site of former premises designated for associated forestry production at Vortová no. 28. This sawmill operation must be able to carry out an annual sowing in single-shift operation of 6000 m3 spruce Round logs. The priority will be the cutting of spruce spruce logs and commercial cut to order from the logs of their own forest, until the next activity will be the cutting of foreign logs. The diploma thesis is supplemented with drawings of alternative solutions of sawmill operation and warehouses of lumber. Part of the drawing is the final recommended version of the sawmill operation. The output of the diploma thesis is the design of the sawmill operation, its incorporation according to the land disposition of the complex at Vortová, recommendations for effective and economical logging and preparation of cutouts. The entire operation is tailored to the most efficient use of space, to cut difficult to trade wood assortments. This proposal should be used as a guide for the owner in the creation of an overall property concept of all estates in Vortová and surroundings.
