The artistic subjects in theory and practice : - Using the artistic subjects as tools in the Swedish education

Cannervik, Kikki January 2016 (has links)
This work is about the four artistic subjects theater, music, dance and art, and how teachers can use them as tools in the Swedish education. The aim is to identify the role that the artistic subjects may have in school, their pros and cons, as well as the teachers' attitude towards them. The work is divided into two parts, the theoretical part focuses on research, andpracticepart is based on a quantitative survey with 274 questionnaires, as well as a qualitative survey with three interviews, where all the informants are active teacher at the minimum ages. What emerged from the study is that it doesn’t differ much between research and reality, or in other words the theory and practice, when it comes to the artistic subjects as tools in regular education. The artistic subjects can be time consuming, but if a teacher takes the time they can help both teachers and students in their development. It has also been shown that many of the active teachers do not fully understand what the artistic subjects contains, but when they get concrete example is the vast majority of them in favor of using the artistic subjects as tools in their teaching.

Public Procurement - Pitfalls and Possibilities / Offentlig upphandling, på vems villkor?

Carlsson, Axel, Oxelbark, Eric January 2015 (has links)

Forntida färdvägar : En lägsta kostnadsanalys av mesolitiska boplatser i norra Norrland / Ancient travel routes : A Least cost path analysis of mesolithic settlements in northern Sweden

Lundqvist, Rasmus January 2022 (has links)
This bachelor thesis will, through a method study, make an overlook of hypothetical movement patterns and travel routes in northern Sweden between Mesolithic sites/settlements.The common interpretation of the early movement patterns of northern Sweden has been heavily based on waterways as travel routes. With the building of dams along the major rivers in northern Sweden since 1940s many sites have been found along these rivers. This thesis will explore alternative routes based on least cost path analyses and movement patterns over land.Through data of topographic elevation and the Least Cost Path tool through QGIS, hypothetical connections will appear between the sites. The hypothetical travel routes will be tested with data from the cultural register of Sweden to find sites with similar dating near the routes. Through this thesis connections between sites over a large area will test if people moved through these hypothetical routes.

Furunäset och mentalsjukvården : en studie i en institutions kontroll över patienters livsvillkor / Furunäset and the mental health care : a study in an institution's control over patients' living conditions

Johansson, Rolf January 2013 (has links)
The Swedish mental hospitals existed for about one hundred years, the period around 1880-1980. The research is intended to be from a local setting perspective to study the local approach used to meet requirements from Furunäsets mental hospital principals 1960 - 1972, the effect this had on the care and treatment of mentally ill patients and how Swedish society's changing approach to mental health influenced the process. The results of the research showed that Furunäset searched for ways to meet the principals' requirements which often went against the patients’ personal best. Furunäsets mental hospital strove to fulfill its institutional goals in them selves rather than giving patients the care and treatment they needed. The Swedish society's attitude to mental illness changed during the 1960s and 70s as a result of a massive social criticism which came from the radical left. The psychiatric treatment was changed by the humanistic psychology breakthrough in the late 1950s and early 60s. This meant that the focus shifted from treating patients as objects to be seen as people with human qualities. These changes created a conflict between the society's belifs and the mental hospital's, regarding the function of Furunäsets Mental Hospital. The conflict led to the Swedish government taking the first step towards reorganizing mental health services by building hospitals in the early 1970s that combined somatic and psychiatric care.

Bid Forecasting in Public Procurement / Budgivningsmodeller i offentliga upphandlingar

Stiti, Karim, Yape, Shih Jung January 2019 (has links)
Public procurement amounts to a significant part of Sweden's GDP. Nevertheless, it is an overlooked sector characterized by low digitization and inefficient competition where bids are not submitted based on proper mathematical tools. This Thesis seeks to create a structured approach to bidding in cleaning services by determining factors affecting the participation and pricing decision of potential buyers. Furthermore, we assess price prediction by comparing multiple linear regression models (MLR) to support vector regression (SVR). In line with previous research in the construction sector, we find significance for several factors such as project duration, location and type of contract on the participation decision in the cleaning sector. One notable deviant is that we do not find contract size to have an impact on the pricing decision. Surprisingly, the performance of MLR are comparable to more advanced SVR models. Stochastic dominance tests on price performance concludes that experienced bidders perform better than their inexperienced counterparts and companies place more competitive bids in lowest price tenders compared to economically most advantageous tenders (EMAT) indicating that EMAT tenders are regarded as unstructured. However, no significance is found for larger actors performing better in bidding than smaller companies.

: An experimental study on how Willingness to Buy is Affected by Omnibus Pricing

Nilsson, Emelie, Heidenborn, Bianca January 2024 (has links)
The new EU omnibus directive mandates that companies must now show the lowest previous price of a product. In a behavioral experiment, we investigate whether this affects consumers’ willingness to buy. We also test for gender differences in consumers’ willingness to buy when being exposed to the lowest previous price. Today gender-stereotypical norms like Girl math are present on social media. Hence, it is highly relevant to understand if these gender differences in consumer behavior exist and why. In the experiment, we also observe whether the effect of previous lowest price differ depending whether the good in question is hedonic or utilitarian and on the consumer’s level of information ignorance. The experiment was conducted online, where participants made a series of purchasing decisions. The participants were assigned to be either in a control or a treatment group, where the treatment group was exposed to the lowest previous price. Results from t-tests and OLS regressions indicate a negative effect on willingness to buy when consumers are exposed to the lowest previous price, with no difference between men and women. However, general willingness to buy in the experiment differed between genders regardless of the lowest previous price, suggesting that differences in shopping behavior are mainly due to varying attitudes towards purchasing decisions. Hedonic goods are less affected by the lowest previous price compared to utilitarian goods and the effect on willingness to buy when exposed to the lowest previous price is decreasing with increasing financial ignorance, which may be due to individuals ignoring information rather than being affected by decision inertia.
