A visibilidade lésbica nos espetáculos teatrais da cidade de São Paulo/SP entre 2012 e 2018 / The lesbian visibility theatrical shows of the city of São Paulo / SP between the years 2012 and 2018

Grillo, Camila Karla 30 May 2019 (has links)
With the discussion about the current LGBT agenda in the Brazilian society, at the beginning of the 21st century, different themes that approach aspects of the homo affective universe in different perspectives were found in the theater. However, it is possible to observe that these spectacles contemplate gay, transsexual and queer identities, while little is said about the lesbian themes. Since the theater is a symbolic space of social transformations, the representativeness of the lesbian agenda becomes a primordial subject to be thought of and discussed about as a means of building memory and visibility in postmodernity, since it dialogues with the society in general, as well as with Cultural Studies. It is in this dimension that the visibility of lesbian themes is discussed in counterpoint to the quantity of productions of pieces that encompass the representativeness of other identities that fall into the LGBT category. Following the poststructuralist flow, the methodology adopted is constructionism, of qualitative character, using the analysis of discursive practices. To do so, it was adopted, as a procedure, a collection of LGBT-themed pieces, using the database OFF - Guia de Teatro SP, with the gathering of data from shows within the period from 2012 to 2018. Six semi-interviews were also conducted - structured with actresses who acted in some of these cataloged shows. As a result, it is understood that there is a visibility of lesbian themes in the theater, from the point of view of interaction and public involvement, capable of causing social transformations, but still limited by the reproduction of hetero normativeness and structural chauvinism manifested through gay hegemony, resulting, mainly, in the lack of incentive and investments by cultural producers

Fun Home: os efeitos de referencialidade na autobiografia de Alison Bechdel / Fun Home: the effects of referentiality in the autobiography of Alison Bechdel

Camargo, Debora Cristina Ferreira de 26 August 2013 (has links)
The study of literature and art objects from the standpoint of the Greimasian Semiotic Theory indicates that all meaning is generated from semiotic articulations that construct a discourse in any given text. Thus, this study proposes a semiotic analysis of Alison Bechdels graphic autobiography Fun Home: A Family Tragicomic. Through the methodology of French semiotics, this analysis describes the discursive devices of persuasion of the autobiographical genre used by the North American cartoonist to convince the reader that they are faced with a real story. Such devices point to an approximation of reality through predominantly referential meaning effects. However, Bechdel (2007b) complicates such an approximation, fictionalizing her characters through literature, not only due to the nature of the utterance, but also as a discursive device within the text. Besides the autobiographical genre, we analyze the structure of comics and the meaning effects produced by the syncretism inherent in the genre, that is, the relationship between verbal text and visual text. Also analyzed are the lesbian issues that permeate the whole utterance and the controversial discursive network that it examine. The proposal is to open a dialogue between language studies, sexuality studies and gender studies. In Bechdel\'s work there is, therefore, the relationship between the autobiographical genre, its textualization through the system of comics and their relevance for a literature encompassing lesbian issues.

A Bruta Flor do Querer: amor, performance e heteronormatividade na representação das personagens lésbicas / The Rough Flower of the Desire: love, performance and heteronormativity in the lesbian characters representation

Santos, Claudiana Gois dos 05 April 2018 (has links)
The literature, instrument of representation and inquiry to social behaviors, can induce the discussion about gender and social roles and also suggest the adoption of ideas and attitudes. The representation of lesbian characters affectivity, in its relatively recent and modest occurance in the story of Literature, receives the importance of the feminine delimitations against the falogocentric canon. The behavioral characteristics imposed to the womens subjectivities are so widely applied that are also natural in the occidental culture speeches, becoming a kind of regulation guide of the loving performance. Such normativity still focuses on the representation of homoaffective relations, what many times reinforces stereotypes in a hierarchical and heteronormative tendency of sexist differentiation and valuation. So, the objective of this dissertation is to establish the differences among the characters from the texts O Corpo, by Clarice Lispector (1974), Eu sou uma Lésbica, by Cassandra Rios (1982) and Azul é a Cor mais Quente, by Julie Maroh (2013) to analyze the lesbian affectivity representation and the heteronormativity incidence in these rising characters in the literature of the last decades of the XX century and the beginning of the XXI century using as an theorical apparatus the Feminist Literary Criticism and the Genre Studies above all based on Judith Butler, Michel Foucault, Adrienne Rich and Monique Wittigs works,. For this, it is necessary to take into consideration the differences among the three literary genres from the corpus and their respective supports which indicate a popularization of this type of protagonism, as well as its reception by critics and the public.

Professoras lésbicas na educação básica de São Paulo: rupturas e construção de visibilidades / Lesbian teachers in the basic education of São Paulo: ruptures and construction of visibilities

Freitas, Tatiana Carvalho de 13 April 2018 (has links)
The purpose of this doctoral research is to understand the different meanings of being a lesbian teacher in the school environment. It is a qualitative research and, of a sociological perspective, it dialogues with national and international studies already carried out on the subject, based on the debate on gender, sexualities and heteronormativity. Six public school teachers (state or municipal) from São Paulo were interviewed while they were teaching in three cities: São Paulo, Diadema and Praia Grande. From a semi-structured script, the research aimed to understand how these teachers deal with this information of their personal lives in the school environment and what your obstacles and fears would be. The results of the research show that, instead of an invisibility, initially supposed, the search for a pedagogical visibility, or a conscious attempt to construct a legitimate possibility of existence in the school environment, was highlighted. Wich means that being in a school as a teatcher, brings, itself, a pedagogical aspiration and a accomplishment: building a visibility that guarantees legitimacy for the lesbian existence.

Considering that the texts posted have become a way of interaction all among the users, as noticed, it has been taken part of the social medias, such as, Facebook and WhatsApp. The production of these writings are beyond the parnassian literature characteristics – art for art‟s sake – considering the social aspects. Through noticing and understanding the difficulty of publication of such work by the great Brazilian publishers, factor that implies into the extinction of both – writers whose sexuality is known and pieces of work related to lesbian desire – It is willing to show how the internet has been opening gaps up into the normative speech.

Lésbicas e mulheres bissexuais: uma leitura interseccional do cuidado à saúde / Lesbian and bisexual women: an intersectional approach to health care

Rodrigues, Julliana Luiz 11 December 2018 (has links)
The invisibility of lesbians and bisexual women, as well as the scarcity of scientific knowledge about them, is still present in Brazil. In Brazilian health policies, they are included in the National Policy for Integral Attention to Women\'s Health of 2003 and in the National Policy of Integral Health Care for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Transgender of 2010. However, it is imperative to know their conceptions and health practices, in order to make it possible to question the policies elaborated and to identify social disadvantages related to the discrimination processes to which they are submitted. This qualitative study aimed to analyze how lesbians and bisexual women experience sexuality and experience general health care and sexual health, in particular, from the intersectionality approach. The study was attended by 17 women aged 18 years or over who reported on lesbians or bisexuals. The production of the empirical data was done through semi-structured interviews following the thematic route previously elaborated. Ethical care included a detailed explanation of the research objectives, in order to guarantee voluntary participation and the signing of the Informed Consent Term. The study was approved by the ethics committee of USP. All interviews were recorded and transcribed. To analyze the data we use the intersectionality approach, understanding how the social markers of difference dialogue with health care. The participants\' ages ranged from 19 to 68 years; six were black, nine were white, and two were brown; twelve were lesbian and five bisexual. Race / color and sexual orientation were self-reported. The diversity in the composition of the participants was a methodological choice to embrace different identity marks regarding race, social class, generation and sexual orientation. The intersection between sexuality and generation operates by vulnerabilizing young women, as they are exposed to intense psychological suffering due to the financial dependence of their families. Racial questions have emerged in the discourse of black women as an identity mark and oppression in situations beyond a health context. The sense and visibility of sexual orientation depend, among other things, on racist experiences. Finally, the interbreeding between sexuality and social class was apprehended from the notion of territoriality. The periphery of São Paulo seems to interfere with the way women appropriate and performatize gender. We perceive the relationship between central regions and greater flexibility in the expression of gender and sexual orientation. Regarding health and sexual health issues, the results point to bisexual invisibility in the clinical context. The difficulties of lesbians and bisexuals in the gynecological consultation range from fears about the exposure of sexual orientation to the non-validation of their sexuality, when their sexual experience with women is classified as non-sex by the professional who attends her. The consultation in gynecology operates with preponderance of the reproductive aspects in detriments of the sexual and is marked by heteronormative assumptions. The intersection between sexual orientation and gender can produce invisibility to bisexuals, who are read socially as heterosexual or homosexual
