This thesis deals with a comparison of two sections of The Elbe Cycle Path in the Central Region. The whole work is divided into four parts. In the first half of the theoretical part describes cycling as such, explains the basic concepts arising from the topic and parameters that can influence the price of trails. The second half focuses on the approach to Elbe Cycle Route, its history, current status and vision for the future. The practical part describes The Elbe Cycle Route already embedded in the Central Region and the region itself and represents "The Elbe Cycle Route Brandýs nad Labem and in the neighborhood" and "The Cycleway Horní Počaply -- Vliněves -- Zelčín". The final section is devoted to the analysis of cartographic and economic comparison of the above projects. Final comparison shows the effectiveness in the implementation of both projects and highlights their strengths and opportunities and points out the weaknesses and threats that can be an inspiration and a warning to other projects linked to the development of cycling and mountain biking. The added value of this work is the visibility of both projects and communities to come together to be capable of such an important yet very financially demanding projects to implement. It turned out that although the patronage of the way, in terms of cycling, strategic projects assumed by the Central Region, it is fair to make a below average spending.

The Master's Thesis deals with the problem of the development of cycling on Elbe Cycling Path. The theoretical part is explaining the basic temrs of cyling, functioning of financing and managing of cycling in the CR and finally The Elbe Cycling Path his introduced from the perspective of history and future developement. The practical part is focusing on particular section of the trail between Litoměřice and Ústí nad Labem. This section of cycling path is analyzed and it is also subject of individual survey. Eventually author proposes some measures to solve problems of Elbe Cycling Path, that could contribute to the developement of cycling on Elbe Cycling Path.

The diploma's thesis is aiming to evaluate European policy of social cohesion and its growth options in the selected region. The evaluation is connected to the Elbe cycle route and it is based on analyses. The theoretical part of the thesis introduces the subject of European policy of social cohesion while defining its legislation and framework of the legislation. It also defines the embodiment of regional politics within legislation of the local government i.e. the Czech Republic. Analyses of the development of the selected project i.e. the Elbe cycle route and its impact on Hradec Kralove district will be dealt with in the practical part of the thesis. Business results of entities participating on the Elbe cycle route project will be gathered and used in order to evaluate selected indicators. Final assessment will be based on benchmarking. Method of comparison, analyses and syntheses will be used to evaluate gathered data. Applicable data will be gathered by research of related literature. Information will be also provided by the executive entities connected to the project, regional websites focussed on cycle tourism and by the town of Smiřice. Data gathered by the entities that cooperate on supervision of the Elbe cycle route project will be used for the statistic assessment.

The aim of the diploma thesis is to monitor and analyze cyclotourism in the selected region of the Czech Republic. The thesis focuses on The Elbe Trail and its economic benefits for the selected area, which is the Ústi region. The theoretical part of the thesis introduces the basic terms related to the cyclotourism, funding and organization of cyclotourism in the Czech Republic. The practical part analyzes the Elbe Trail as a tourist product and then evaluates the economic benefits of the Elbe Trail.

The diploma thesis is focused on monitoring of cycle tourism on a selected section of the Elbe route between the cities of Prague and Roudnice nad Labem. The main goal of the thesis is to analyse current situation on this selected section of the route and to find out about its economic benefits. The theoretical part consists of explanation of the basic cycling terminology and the subjects supporting the cycle tourism are also presented there. Additionally prospective possibilities of funding are introduced there. The last two chapters of the theoretical part are focused on monitoring of the cyclists and the product of the Elbe route. The practical part analyses the selected section of the Elbe route.

The diploma thesis analyzes evolution of shipping on Elbe in 1948 -- 1964. It is focused especially on position of Elbe in state transport infrastructure. It evaluates Czechoslovakian external shipping on Elbe, projects for navigations on Elbe and innovations in shipping on Elbe. It deals with nationalization of company Československá plavba labská, creation of monopole and connection of Československá plavba labská and Československá plavba oderská. Part of work is focused on comparison of performance and other indicators of Československá plavba labsko-oderská and Československá plavba dunajská and comparison of goods transferred by ship, rail and road transport. Work also deals with evolution of structure of transported goods and reasons for its change.

The Final Thesis deals with the evaluation of the benefits of the Elbe Cycling Path within the Giant Mountains Tourist Region. The teoretical part is explaining the basic terms of cycling, describing the infrastructure necessary for this activity and also organizations and institutions active in this area. Within one separate chapter there is a description of the Elbe Cycling Path including it's history. The practical part is focusing on particular section of the cycling path between Elbe spring and Dvůr Králové nad Labem. It is based on the results of the qualitative and quantitative research, both undertaken on the Elbe Cycling Path. The benefits are evalueted according to the results of the research and some measures are proposed to use the potential of the path in better way.

The objective of this thesis is to characterize the Labská rokle creek icefall in terms of its morphology and types of ice structures. It describes the icefall's development during the winter season and analyses the impact of meteorological factors. The data about the icefall's volume were collected via sequential photographing and 3D scanner measuring during the winter seasons 2014/15 and 2015/16. The collected data were compared with the data from temperature sensors situated below the icefall and in its close proximity and with the data from the meteorological station in Labská bouda hut. The given icefall showed a very fast growth in the first phase of its development. This phase was followed by a typically stable phase of small fluctuations and subtle reactions to surrounding stimuli. In the third phase, a rapid decline in volume occurred as a result of either episodic events, such as when a larger piece of ice came loose, or progressive thawing. Regarding the factors, it was confirmed that temperature had the biggest impact on the volume of the icefall. A very high correlation was also found to be between the icefall's volume and the height of snow. A bigger snow height apparently puts off the stable phase and allows a greater accumulation of ice. The thesis attends to cargo inland waterway transport on the river Elbe in the Czech republic. The target is to analyse its progress, function and place in national and international transport. The thesis shows actual problems that occur in inland waterway transport. The main problem is the bottleneck at the Czech - German border which should be solved by building-up of the weir in Děčín. But this is not acceptable for environmentalists. The target as well is to quote reasons why to built-up the weir which is important for the development of inland waterway transport.

The diploma thesis evaluates the benefits of a section of the Elbe route between the city of Hradec Kralove and the village of Kuks. In the theoretical part, frequently used terms are explained, along with the history of cycle tourism, the Elbe route is introduced, as well as the subjects taking care of it, and the costs and benefits of cycle tourism are described. The practical part is focused on the mentioned section of the route -- it depicts this section and then moves to present and analyze the results of the survey conducted during this study.
