Sledování růstu teplokrevných hříbat

Scheibingerová, Michaela January 2017 (has links)
This diploma thesis focuses on monitoring the growth of warmblood foals. The aim was to evaluate growth allometry, hippometric indexes and correlation dependence between individual body measurements; furthermore, to statistically assess the growth of foals in relation to certain factors (sexual dimorphism, breeder, year of birth, birth order, sire) and to compare the values obtained with growth standards and growth ranges for warmblood horses. Three breeding farms from the South Moravian region were included in the study. The measuring of the foals was carried out between 2013 and 2016, from birth to three years of age, once per month using measuring devices (a measuring stick and tape). The measurements taken were: stick height at withers, tape height at withers, chest circumference, body length and cannon bone circumference. The results indicated that colts are much more susceptible than fillies to the negative effects of external factors and have more difficulty withstanding them. However, the growth rate of colts was higher for all the dimensions assessed. Throughout the monitoring period, fillies exhibited a higher trunk size index, which is a result of the anticipated development of the foetus in adulthood. Due to the demonstrably heavier frame of colts, the cannon bone load index was found to be higher in fillies. The highest growth capability was achieved at the Velké Němčice breeding farm, where foals appear to be provided with the optimal conditions for growth and development. Furthermore, it was established that foals born as the 4th or 5th foal exhibit the highest growth rate. This result can be attributed to the fact that mares (dams) have reached physical maturity and are capable of meeting the needs of foals. Conversely, the weakest growth was achieved with foals born as the 1st, 3rd or 6th foal. After assessing the values obtained against the growth standards, we decided to retain the existing ones with an emphasis on breeders regularly monitoring the growth and development of foals.

Modelování finančních rizik pomocí kopul / Financial risks with copulas

Prelecová, Natália January 2014 (has links)
The aim of this thesis is the thorough description of the copula theory. It deals with the theory's basic definitions, classes and characteristics. In addition, relations between copulas and dependence measures are explained. Furthermore, we evaluate the possibilities of copula's parametres estimation and selecting the right copula for real data. Then, the copula theory is interconnected with the basic risk measures in finance. We describe the elementary categorization of financial risks and standard risk measurement approaches. We also define basic risk measures with the emphasis on value at risk. Lastly, we present a real data case study of a selected portfolio.

Moderní přístupy k trhu práce: přirozená míra nezaměstnanosti a hystereze

Slaný, Martin January 2007 (has links)
Diplomová práce se věnuje přirozené míře nezaměstnanosti a hysterezi nezaměstnanosti. V kapitolách věnovaných přirozené míře rozebírá dynamický model, Phillipsovu křivku a koncept NAIRU. Práce porovnává hypotézu přirozené míry a NAIRU.

Demografické procesy a jejich vliv na míru hrubých národních úspor / Demographic Processes and Their Impact on the Rate of Gross National Savings

Rovný, Martin January 2015 (has links)
The main task of this thesis is to clarify the impact of demographics on the rate of gross national savings which is considered one of the main elements of economic growth. Demographic trends and theoretical background are presented, which contributes to the understanding of the relationship of savings and the age structure of the population. The assessment of the relationship is done based on cross-sectional analysis of data from period 2009 -2013 for 133 countries, while the effect of demographic forces is studied through dependency rates of unproductive population. In the analysis partial estimates and analogous research with the pre-crisis data are performed. The results suggest that demographic forces leading to the growth of dependency rates negatively influence the savings rate. However, the important role is played by the level of development of individual countries or regional specifics since the effect of demographics between developed and developing countries is considerably different.

Hodnocení výsledků metod shlukové analýzy / Evaluation of Cluster Analysis Methods

Löster, Tomáš January 2004 (has links)
Cluster analysis includes a range of methods and practices that are used primarily for classification of objects. It takes an important role in many areas. Since the resulting distribution of objects into clusters may vary depending on the selected methods and specifications, it is appropriate to assess the results obtained. This paper proposes new ways of evaluating these results in a situation where objects are characterized by qualitative variables or by variables of different types. These coefficients can be used either to compare different methods (in terms of better outcomes) or for finding of the optimal number of clusters. All of them are based on the detection of variability which is also used for measuring of dissimilarity of objects and clusters. The newly proposed evaluation methods are applied to real data sets (of different sizes, with different number of variables, including variables of different types) and the behavior of these coefficients in different conditions is being examined. These data sets have known as well as unknown classification of objects into clusters. The best coefficient for evaluating clustering results with different types of variables can be considered, based on the analysis carried out, the modified coefficient of CHF. Local maximum value according to which the results of the clustering are evaluated, almost always exists. The analysis has proven that in most cases this value meets the expected results of the well-known classification of objects into clusters. The existence of local extremes of the other coefficients depends on specific data sets and is not always feasible.

Analýza funkčních dat a modelování specifické míry úmrtnosti a plodnosti / Functional data analysis and modeling age-specific mortality and age-specific fertility

Bezchlebová, Daniela January 2014 (has links)
The aim of this thesis is to analyze two major indicators representing the processes of natural changes in population, which are not influenced by age structure -- age specific fertility rate and age specific mortality rate and to introduce functional data analysis, which has recently become increasingly applied in many scientific fields. The functional data analysis is introduced on the Czech demographic data set for more than last sixty years. The thesis briefly describes historical development of mortality and fertility and also describes selected methods of functional data analysis by using statistical program R. Functional data analysis provides a wide variety of graphics tools to explore the data which we called functional and help us to explore all typical and atypical features, identify outliers etc.

Robustní investiční portfolia / Robust Investment Portfolios

Konfršt, Zdeněk January 2014 (has links)
Robust Investment Portfolios Zdeněk Konfršt Abstract This master's thesis pursues the construction of stable, robust and growth portfo- lios in active portfolio management. These portfolios provide limited downside risks, short-time drawdowns and substantial growth prospects. We argue that the construc- tion of such portfolios is based on security selection as well as on portfolio theory (the Mean-Variance Model, MVM). The equity based portfolios were constructed and tested on real market data from the 1995-2014 period. The tested portfolios outperformed the S&P 500 out of and within the risk-reward ratio domain. Robust portfolios build on the MVM but they are less sensitive to errors of param- eters estimation. We experimented with several robust approaches and the results confirmed that the robust portfolios were less sensitive to outliers, less volatile and more stable (robust). The bottom-up process of security selection seems time consuming and labor intensive. Therefore we proposed an alternative approach to select stocks with so- called "cluster analysis". Generally, the cluster analysis classifies similar objects (companies) into similar groups. Technical and fundamental parameters of companies provided needed classification parameters. The classification was run over companies from the German DAX...

Analýza výkonnostních zkoušek hřebců českého teplokrevníka

Klos, Roman January 2015 (has links)
The theme of this thesis is the Analysis of performance tests of stallions of the Czech warm-blood. The underlying database contains 821 breeding stallions included for breeding of the Czech warm-blood in the years 1974 - 2014. The aim of this work is to investigate the influence of breed, country of breeding, year of birth, the father and the father of the mother of classified stallions on their basic body measurements, breed type and sex expression, exterior. For the analysis we used the program MS Excel 2003 and the generalized linear model GLM in the programming package UNISTAT 5.5. The results indicate a statistically highly documented influence of the breed on the us reference body measurements (KVH, KVP, OH, OHOL) and breed type, the year of the birth on OH, OHOL, breed type and exterior, father on OHOL, the father of the mother on KVP and the country of breeding on OH.
