This diploma thesis deals with minorities in the Federal Republic of Germany. It is mainly focused on the current situation of the political scene in relation to the minority issues and development of Germany as a new European multicultural superpower. The Federal Republic of Germany has experienced a significant influx of immigrants since the middle of the previous century and the number of them reaches nine percent of the total population nowadays. The most numerous group of foreigners are the Turks with more than 1,5 milion of them living there. The theme of the thesis is treated as a historical and geographic development of selected minorities in the Feredral Republic of Germany from the so-called multicultural viewpoint, which is the base stone that helps to understand both, the individuals and the groups of different cultures, which highlights the cultural diversity. Data regarding immigration of population from available sources are commented on in the framework of the quantitative research. Another point is the prognosis of immigration of population at the level of federation The aim of the thesis is to introduce the background of ethnic composition of minorities in Germany in the framework of assertion of the current immigration policy. This diploma thesis also deals with issues related to immigration, employment policy and social policy in Germany.

The topic of the master thesis is "The inclusion of minorities in the Czech labour market." The main focus is given mainly on Roma and Vietnamese minorities. The inclusion of these minorities into the Czech labour market covers several societal aspects like prevention of criminality, social exclusion and poverty. The master thesis deals in particular with the theoretical analysis of the position of these minorities its social consequences and the possible solutions of connected problems. The master thesis in its practical part applies the theoretical outcomes and critically evaluates analysed solutions. This diploma thesis focuses on the minority Arab population in Khuzestan, Iran. The thesis is based on research conducted during the summer of 2014 in the province of Khuzestan. It is consisted of theoretical part as well as data taken during the research period. Additional data was taken from respondents via internet and social networks. The aim of the thesis is an objective analysis of the Arab community life in Iran. Research questions focus on the status of this minority, tribal organization of Khuzestani Arabs and preservation of their cultural identity and heritage. The first two chapters consist of the introduction and set the framework for the methodological basis. The third chapter provides geographical and historical information of this province. Acquaintance with the geographical and historical facts is necessary for better understanding of the character of the Arab community in Khuzestan. The work entitled "Integration of Vietnamese minority through the eyes of the Czech Public – the case study of Zlín Region" will deal with the integration of Vietnamese minority in the Czech Republic with a regional focus on the Zlín Region. The Vietnamese minority is the third largest minority in the Czech Republic and it is important to monitor the view of the Czech population. The theoretical part follow up the discussion of existing literature on the perception of foreigners and it was also examined how Vietnamese are generally percieved by Czech public as a whole. The aim of the thesis is to map the perception of integration of the Vietnamese community by the inhabitants of the Zlín Region. The thesis asks which factors influence our attitudes towards foreigners and aims at socio-demographic factors and their influence on attitude towards Vietnamese: gender, age, education, social status, political orientation, size of place of residence and personal experience. The research itself takes form of a questionnaire (quantitative research), which was distributed to Czech citizens with permanent residence in the Zlín Region. The inhabitants of the Zlin region meet the Vietnamese rather occasionally and have a rather positive view of them thanks to the services they offer and their diligence. It is personal experience, the age and social status of the person that most influ-ences their stance.

his thesis compares legal development in Yugoslavia and Republic of Czechoslovakia, focusing mainly, but not only, on acts concerning german minority. The reason for this comparation is that both countries faced at same time very similar issues and the main goal of this thesis is to point out different methods of dealing with those issues. Thesis starts with brief historical introduction on both countries. It main goal is to inform reader on formation of legal authorities in both countries capable of issuing legal acts. Than the thesis continues with main topic, comparison of several legal areas. Firstly it deals with topic of abortion of acts created by occupation administrations and abortion of rullings of this administrations. Práce se zabývá zkoumáním problematiky národnostních menšin v kontextu Jihočeského kraje. Vychází ze skutečnosti, že současná společnost čelí problémům, které jsou historicky dané a navíc, které jsou způsobené imigrací. Vychází z rozsáhlého výzkumu, který byl proveden v Jihočeském kraji a který zkoumal jednak vztahy většinové populace k národnostním menšinám, na druhou stranu také věnoval i vztahům menšin k většinové populaci. Nabízí návrh koncepce Jihočeského kraje ve vztahu k národnostním menšinám. Je přínosná především z hlediska možnosti praktické aplikace získaných poznatků, ale může posloužit jako základ pro další analýzu dané problematiky, jednak v kontextu Jihočeského kraje, ale také na obecnější úrovni.

The aim of the thesis is to describe the activities of the organization PZKO as an example of interest group. We would like to define the main characteristics of the organization and its problems and propose possible solutions. The first part of the thesis is theoretic frame of interest groups. The work studies the historical and contemporary Poles living in the Czech Republic too. The following section outlines the scope of the organization PZKO. Finally the practical part of the thesis analyzes using the conducted interviews with members of management PZKO. In addition it describes the possible measures that would improvement the working of an organization with solutions to problems they are facing PZKO.

The aim of this thesis is to describe and evaluate a current coexistence of Vietnamese minority with Czech society and via this example to illustrate and identify principles of coexistence of minorities with majority in general. The scope of this paper contains a field research focused on the integration process of Vietnamese community into the Czech society. The results are then evaluated according to the recent studies. Finally the results of the empirical research are reviewed and summarized into a description of an integration process of the Vietnamese community into the Czech society.
