BACKGROUND: Despite the high number of methamphetamine users in the Czech Republic, the treatment is still only abstinent. Pharmacotherapy in terms of substitution treatment is not yet in place. No study has yet been conducted to examine the views of workers working with methamphetamine users on the possibility of introducing substitution treatment for methamphetamine dependence in the Czech Republic. OBJECTIVE: The aim of the practical part was to map the opinions of outpatient staff on the possibility of introducing substitution treatment for methamphetamine dependence. The monitored area included the evaluation of the success of the treatment of methamphetamine dependence in outpatient settings, disparity in working with users by substance use, percentage of methamphetamine users in the facilities, the suitability of drug addiction to methamphetamine for clients of outpatient facilities and position of substitution treatment for methamphetamine, according to respondents. METHOD: The sample was elected on the basis of deliberate targeted selection through the institutions. Title: Development of methamphetamine (ex)users that decided to cease without professional intervention - follow-up study Abstract: BACKGROUND: This work relates to author's research in 2011/2012, in which author captured experience of (ex)users with ceasing drug using without professional help through narrative interviews. Findings shown, that respondents keeps in their narration space for reusing of methamphetamine, so author decided to work with respondents also in future. This work is theoretically based in idiographic and narrative approach, which focus on AIMS: To capture development of methamphetamine (ex)users that decided to cease using methamphetamine without professional intervention after 3 years. RESEARCH QUESTIONS: To capture users' answers about future aiming of individuals, based on preceding research, to catch biography-time development of respondents and to analyze reasoning according to (non)returning to using methamphetamine. The aim of this diploma thesis is to describe cooperation with clients / users of methamphetamine with a severe psychiatric disorder from the schizophrenic spectrum using case management methods. The theoretical part summarizes current knowledge of the negative consequences of using methamphetamine, focussing on serious psychiatric comorbidity from the schizophrenic spectrum. It includes research of current studies (both Czech and foreign), information on specific comorbid diagnoses and a description of the case management method, including its specific application within the SANANIM addictology ambulance. The practical part contains three case studies structured into six sections: (1) Initiation of the program entry, (2) The first contact and setting, (3) Entrance evaluation and indication, (4) Establishing a relationship and developing cooperation, (5) Cooperation with other experts and stakeholders (6) The results of cooperation focussed on changes in relation to: comorbid illness, severity and frequency of use of a primary drug and other addictive substances, social situation and relational healing.
