Bosák, Martin January 2017 (has links)
The content of the thesis is an architectural study of the temporary accommodation of migrants and finding a suitable location on the territory of the city of Brno. The choice of land suitable for construction must meet not only the technical requirements but also take into account the sensitive public relation to this type of equipment. The location of the Malměřice-Obřany district in Brno, currently managed as a brownfield, meets all the requirements and contributes to the reclamation of urban space.

Enviromentální migranti / Environmental migrants

Řandová, Štěpánka January 2013 (has links)
in English - Environmental migrants The purpose of my thesis is to analyse both the status quo as well as the possible evolution of the policy framework of the environmental migration. The thesis is composed of five chapters, each of them dealing with different aspects of environmental migration. Chapter one is introductory and describes an overview of the historical content of environmental migration. Environmental migration is not a new phenomenon. Natural and human-made environmental disasters have caused migration of people in the past and continue to do so. This chapter addresses the linkage between environment and migration, which led to the elaboration of a typology of environmental migration. Chapter two characterises the most frequently used definitions of environmental migrants. Environmental migration has been the subject of lively debate in recent years but there is still no internationally agreed definition of environmental migrant. Chapter three examines relevant current legislation concerned to environmental migration. It discusses refugee law, statelessness, humanitarian law and human rights law. The current legal framework for dealing with the issues surrounding environmental migration is underdeveloped. Chapter four concentrates on possible proposed protection regimes. This...

Migranti v neoprávněném postavení - Česko jako cílová země / Migrants in irregular position - Czechia: a country of destination

Medová, Lenka January 2013 (has links)
Since the beginning of the 1990s, Europe has been confronted with an increase of irregular migration in connexion to the collapse of the communist regimes. Today, it is estimated that there are from about 2 to 4 million irregular migrants living in the European Union. Most of them take part in local informal economies. Besides traditional immigration countries of Western Europe, the southern European countries have also become a destination region of irregular migration. Recently though, the same can be said about some post- communist European countries, namely Czechia. The dissertation focuses on irregular migration in Czechia. More specifically, it deals with irregularly working migrants in the period preceding the global economic crisis. As there is insufficient level of knowledge of the phenomenon in Czechia, the dissertation delivers empirical material regarding forms and reasons of irregular migration and structure, volume and strategies of irregularly working migrants. These characteristics are framed within the European context. Moreover, from the terminological point of view, the dissertation tries to bypass the limitations of the Czech literature and presents own terminology of the given processes and their actors. Finally, the dissertation aims to contribute to current theoretical and...

Pracovní migranti z Ukrajiny a Vietnamu na českém trhu práce / Working Migrants from Ukraine and Vietnam in the Czech Labour Market

TEPLÁ, Kateřina January 2009 (has links)
This diploma work tries to describe the situation of working migrants from Ukraine and Vietnam. The theoretically part includes topics from the description of the elevation of working migrants on contemporary Czech labour market to social and cultural background of workers from Ukraine and Vietnam. The second practical part is based on four detailed interviews with a working migrant from Ukraine, a working migrant form Vietnam, a Czech co-worker of working migrant and an employer of working migrants. The sight of view of these four interviews is that working migrants have the same conditions as Czech employees, they came to Czech Republic to make money to rise the life standard of their families living abroad. There is enough work in their countries but they aren´t paid so well as in Czech Republic there. The working grades they execute are not interesting for Czech workers so these positions hadn´t been casted before they came to our country. They know that people have many prejudices to them there but they don´t admit them and try to pass judgment on Czechs individually. At the beginning each of them had an experience with some negotiator or {\clqq}client`` who had vindicated them their jobs and accommodations. They see the biggest problem in communication in our language but they are willing to learn speaking Czech. They don´t follow the progression of Czech justice and legislation and they rely on their employers in this case. They think that the biggest difference between their countries and Czech Republic is folks´attitude towards family and religion. They are willing to cooperate on changing the unfriendly attitude of our people towards them.

Imigrantská ekonomika a podnikání Rusů v Praze / Immigrant Economy and Russian Entrepreneurs in Prague

Fiedlerová, Klára January 2011 (has links)
The thesis deals with the phenomenon, sometimes called "Russian infrastructure", which is created by Russian small and middle entrepreneurs. They are presented here as economic actors in search for business opportunities who make plans and strategies to achieve them. Their economic activities are conceptualized through the immigrant economy concept, which refers to the phenomena of entrepreneurship and employment of ethnic minorities and migrants within networks created by themselves (Nekorjak 2009). Both the hypothesis and the subject is the existence of an immigrant economy defined as a space of social and economic relations based on language and cultural affinity in which Russian immigrant entrepreneurs operate, and on which they depend in their economic activities. The aim is to identify the main characteristics and functioning mechanisms of this immigrant economy. The key questions revolves around the importance of ethnic networks from which migrants receive capital resources, the role of language and sociocultural affinity in economic relations, and finally the effect of structural factors on entrepreneurial strategies, especially the role of growing importance of migration flows from Russia, tourism, international trade and global real estate market. In conclusion, the thesis proposes...

Il teatro sociale nelle pratiche di inclusione per le donne migranti in Italia / IL TEATRO SOCIALE NELLE PRATICHE DI INCLUSIONE PER LE DONNE MIGRANTI IN ITALIA / Social theatre among the practices of inclusion for migrant women in Italy

GUERINONI, MARTINA 07 June 2021 (has links)
The thesis aims to investigate, with a descriptive approach, the role of the practices of welcoming, inclusion, help and care, expression and emancipation of migrant women in Italy, starting from a reflection on the dramatic dimension of female migration. The heart of the research is the investigation of performing arts and practices, and especially of social theatre, whose methodology is particularly effective in the social inclusion of migrant women, as it focuses more on processes than on products, more on actions than on representations, more on the community than on the audience, more on relationships than on mediations. The role of social theatre in the practices of inclusion for migrant women is investigated in particular in the context of the Metropolitan City of Milan, in the face of an accurate mapping of the most significant projects that use media, arts, performance and culture for the inclusion of migrants, carried out in connection with the University Research project Migrations|Mediations and with the PRIN project Performing the social. In particular, we get to highlight and discuss the critical issues of some social theatre experiences with migrant women which, for different reasons, could not have a full realization.
