Describing the understanding of the term ´dance minimalism´ is the content of this theses. Following the minimalism´s journey (in the history of dance) and exploring how minimalism changes the ways of thinking and attitude helped me to clear my intention. I present information about radical figures, who were at birth (of minimalism), and period context mainly in the matter of searching and exploring the new ways of creation and also change of perceiving art that goes with it. The most important criterion is the change, which brings not only artist but also spectators to the new ways of thinking. The methods and ways of work of the important creators/artists, who work with or through out minimalism their own way or even create it are described with more depth. Music inspiration and its infiltration and impulses brought into the field of dance are at the forefront of the theses. I deconstruct and generalize the principles of minimalism, that go beyond to philosophical thougths and questions. The these also follows up the fundamental essence of minimalism - time, which in it´s innovative and till then not used ways affects spectators meditatively/contemplatively and even transcendently.

This master thesis consists of three parts. The first part presents an overview of the development of minimalism and its importance in literature, more specifically in the Scandinavian area. The second part introduces the prose writer Helle Helle in context of the contemporary Danish literature, and presents her work. The third part of the thesis deals with analysis of the minimalist approach of the author, throughout her novel Ned til hundene.

This work deals with overlapping paintings in other media, while maintaining an emphasis on "the essence of painting" (Painting) approach. It remains crucial for the whole session, overlaps paintings will be investigated as a function of the new language of discourse, supplementing traditional painting as a medium.

This thesis presents the history of opera productions which have been staged by the National Theatre Opera Company in the Kolowrat Theatre during last fifteen years. The author reflects the problems of staging chamber operas in general and, by analysing several productions, she points out certain possibilities of using the chamber space for staging operas.

The dissertation is following both theoretical and practical sides of Victor Burgin's early work. The structure of this thesis mainly reflects a hybrid attitude of the artist/theorist - the text digress from theoretical comments to related art works which are arranged chronologically. The principal focus lies in Burgin's concers for ideological, social and cultural impacts of photographic advertising practice in Great Britain during the 1970s which he assesed through theories derived from marxism, semiology and psychoanalysis. The aim of this thesis is to document the process of translating literary texts that have no stylistic equivalent in the target culture. The research is based on selected works by three contemporary Norwegian authors whose style is perceived as very specific. The theoretical part discusses current tendencies in Norwegian as well as in Czech prose writing and also approaches to literary translation developed in translation studies are presented in this part of the thesis. The other part of this thesis focuses on the unique styles of Hanne Ørstavik, Erlend Loe and Jon Fosse. The significant features of their styles are documented in analyses of their novels. These analyses at then used for the assessment of the Czech translations.

Mimalism represents a film style which still partially predominates on the contemporary art festivals although it reached its peak during in the beginning of the 21. century. Minimalism is a style which supresses the pallete of formalistic tools, expressive elements and typical narative structures and drama. It also works extensively with time and the depiction of everyday. Minimalistic cinema experience thus stimulates the audience to make their own interpretations of the story and the form altogether. The aim of this work is to analyze those historical cinema tendencies that bear most resemblance to the modern style of minimalism. I consider these films (and styles) to be the most predetermenative to the style of minimalism: Italian neorealism, spiritual work of Ozu and Bresson, experimental structural movies, the cinematic masterpiece Jean Dielman, 23 Commerce Quay, 1080 Brussels from Chantal Akerman and Antonionis movies with their narative structure.

This master's thesis deals with the construction of a new sports center in Brno region Za Lužánkami. The project comprehensively addresses the urban links, roads, parking and leisure facilities in a given area. At the area of a new sports facilities, which creates a field Za Lužánkama highly integrated sports and relaxation center, in direct relation to the park Lužánky. The thesis further elaborates on the level of architectural study of a newly created structures - Multifunctional hockey arena.
