The thesis deals with the life and work of an eminent architect of the late 19th and early 20th century, a native of Horní Branná near Jilemnice, Jan Vejrych. Forty years of his extensive and diverse project and construction activity has left its mark both in Prague and in many places in Bohemia and, by implementation of a project of the National House in Maribor, Slovenia, it has also acquired an international dimension. The aim of the text is to offer a comprehensive view of Vejrych's life and professional activities and thus fill one of the gaps in the knowledge of architecture of the late 19th and early 20th century in the Czech lands. The thesis primarily focuses on the analysis of Vejrych's architectural work. When mapping his projects the aim was to place them consistently in the broader art-historical and socio- political context. The works are not only analyzed within each creative period, the evolution of selected building types is traced over time as well. Attention is paid to interior designs, which were an integral part of major projects, as well as to sketches and studies created for architect's own use where his general observations and comments on various aspects of architectural work can be found. The main part of the thesis is a research focused on describing research activities at Czech universities since 1989 to the present time, i.e. until the end of 2013. The thesis describes the work and publications of all personalities who participated in the research within the field of Bible Studies.

In the period of group Osma he cooperates especially with Bohumil Kubišta. His significant cuboexpresionistic paintings rise from 1910. Beneš stands in the czech cubist movement by Emil Filla. Beneš's cubist paintings have success in prewar Germany. After World War I. Beneš turns away from cubism and works with Antonín Slavíček's painting reference. During the communist era in Romania the literature and its authors had been under pressure of normative demands, which substantially restricted freedom of writing. The authors tried to escape the official socialist realism and restore the esthetic function of literature. In the introduction chapter of this work this evolution is described. One of the authors trying to restore the esthetic function of Romanian prose in the 60s was Petru Popescu inspired by the urban background and American literature. His novels express the emotions of the Romanian post-war young generation. Although being successful in his homeland he emmigrated to the USA in 1974, where he made a career as an English writing scenarist and novelist. Other chapters of this thesis describe his work from his poetic debut until his latest work. They reflect the changes in his choices of topics and narrative methods applying the F. K. Stanzel's literary theory. One of the chapters deals with general questions related to exile, writer's identity, selection of the languages and adaptation strategies. The aim of this master´s thesis was to create a web interface for working with bibliographic quotations. This whole project was created to easy writing bibliographic quotations in author´s piece. The system allows inserting, searching and managing bibliographic quotations. These quotations can also be exported into four types of files : RTF, XML, HTML, a database bib file. The czech norms CSN ISO 690-1 and also CSN ISO 690-2 are fully supported. Whole the system is based on language like PHP which is used for developing dynamic web pages. The system contains graphical user interface, which is simple to use. The web interface is fully functional and it is ready for using by autors of scientific publications or students in schools.

This dissertation is devoted to a monographic processing of the work of sculptress Maria Bartuszová (1936, Prague - 1996, Košice). Methodologically, it is mainly based on the compilation and evaluation of knowledge from the in-depth research of the first list of works of M. Bartuszová "Catalogue Raisonné 2012-2018", Collection of drawings and photographs from the Archive of M. Bartuszová, biography, exhibitions and bibliography. It is divided into four chapters, in which it deals with the sculpture of M. Bartuszová, its transformations in the period of her ceramics studies at the Academy of Fine Arts, Design and Architecture during the 1950s in Prague, continues by tracking her sculptural beginnings since 1961, and it deals with the circumstances of her relocation to Košice where she lived most of her life. It tracks her work during the normalization period of the 1970s until the end of the 1980s, when the totalitarian regime ended with the Velvet revolution. It explores the reasons why her work was little exhibited and also why it was little known and reflected by the professional circles.
