Jaro Kučera and the Moravian Tapestry Manufacture Abstract The diploma thesis deals with the painter and textile designer Jaro Kučera (1885- 1950) who was a director of the Moravian Tapestry Manufacture in Valašské Meziříčí between 1922 and 1945. It focuses mainly on his designs, which he created for this institution, deposited in the Provencial Archives in Opava and on tapestries from Czech and Moravian collections, especially from the Valachian Regional Museum in Valašské Meziříčí and the Moravian Gallery in Brno. The main part of the thesis is an analysis of the phenomenon of the manufacture in Valašské Meziříčí from its establishment to the present.

Geomorphological evidence of the Scandinavian glaciation in the Moravian Gate Abstract This thesis is aimed at area in the Moravian Gate which was covered by continental ice sheets during the Quaternary. The goal of this thesis is to analyze results of work of Tyrá ček (2006). Main parts of this thesis are: current views on the extent of glaciated area, definition ice-marginal landforms, methods my fieldwork, results and discussion. Maps and graphs were created as a part of this thesis. Data was processed using MapInfo Professional 7.0 SCP software, ArcGIS 9 software a Microsoft Office Excel 2003.

Maps and graphs were created as a part of this thesis. Present relief is very different from pleistocene relief. It is difficult find ice-margin landforms. I agree with extent of pleistocene ice sheet glaciations from Tyráček (2006).

The diploma thesis is a contribution to the research of Czech in language enclaves abroad. The aim of the work is to describe the East Moravian features in the Argentine region of Chaco at all language levels, namely the phonological, morphological, syntactical, lexical and word-formation ones. In the introduction, the author deals with the history of Czech immigrants to Argentina and their current lives. Special attention is paid to the history of compatriot life in the city of Presidency of Roque Sáenz Peňa, where the largest part of the Czech immigrants settled. The following part describes the methods of material collection and its further processing. Next chapter, presenting linguistic features of the East Moravian dialect group, is followed by a linguistic analysis of East Moravian features that occurred in the speeches recorded by the author. The results of the research are supplied separately for each language level and the influence of Spanish and signs of incipient atrophy are also described. A large number of East Moravian features have been preserved in the speakersʼ language, which still testify to their origin, although the sample of respondents consisted of second- or third-generation speakers. This thesis deals with the politics of the Margrave of Meissen, William I the one-eyed (1343-1407), towards the Kingdom of Bohemia and his relationship to the ruling dynasty of the House of Luxemburg. Particular attention is paid to his marriage to Elizabeth of Luxembourg (Elizabeth of Moravia), his stays at the imperial court of Charles IV and subsequently his own expansive politics towards Wenceslaus IV. Emphasis is also given to his relationships to the other members of the House of Luxembourg, especially Margrave Jobst of Moravia. It also reflects upon the personality of Margravine Elizabeth (1355-1400), who has so far been rather overlooked in historiography. The thesis is based primarily on sources of a diplomatic nature and of Czech and Meissen provenance, but also draws upon records from chronicles and monastic annals. This thesis is also a contribution to the assessment of the politics of Wenceslaus IV and the nature of relationships between members of the House of Luxembourg. Territorial studies urban area in Ostrava in the Vítkovice has a long industrial history. It is an area inaccessible to the public and former industrial brownfield. The thesis aims to open up this area and integrate it in the neighboring city of Ostrava. It is also suggested revitalization of the former industrial site for a new multipurpose building and construction of a new urban district with urban greenery.

The subject of my Diploma´s thesis was to design of mutifunction wine house in Brno, which is located in area historically associated with the cultivation of wine. Designed building will be used for the presentation of wine from regional winemakers, it will serve to purchase and consume. There will be a conference center with accomodation too. The moravian wine center should represent the Moravian wine region and winemaking culture in Moravian. Operation of the building is designed in accordance with sustainable development. The Diplomaś thesis contains architectural study accompanying the report, reviewed the construction program and thermal technical assessment of selected structures and structural details.

The thesis deals with life and work of bishop,later cardinal Frantisek Tomask in the 50´s and 60´s of the twentieth century. The work particularly focuses on the extremely interesting and moving period,when Frantisek Tomasek worked as a priest and religion teacher (scripture) in Moravian village of Moravska Uzova.The thesis involves both copies of authentic documenst from the Archives of Opava and also testimonies of his former pupils and parishioners, giving supporting evidence of many activities of Mr. Tomasek at that time. The first part of the work brings a detailed description of the state of the then Catholic Church on the background of complicated and hard political situation in former Czechoslovakia in the 50´s and 60´s. The other part focuses on eleven years of life and work of Frantisek TOmasek in Moravska Uzova, especially on his religious and pedagogical activities. The evidence of a very successful and human work of this unique man can be found both in this part of work and also in the enclosure - in the form of re-told testimonies of his former pupils.

A proposal of complex of school reacts to current situation of the Black Meadow as well as it respects the winning proposal of Maxwan (competition held in 2010). Block of school completes missing block on the edge of old town and Black meadow currently serving as parking place. Kindergarten fills in a vacant lot nearby.
