Polimerinių nanosluoksnių elektrinis laidumas / Electrical conductivity of nanopolymers

Kievinaitė, Erika 15 June 2006 (has links)
Polymers were really widely used materials because of its bad electrical properties (most of them are known as plastics – insulators). From the discovery of conductive polymers by D.J. Heeger, A.G. MacDiarmid ir H. Shirakawa in 1977, they have attracted a big attention by experimentators. Metallic polyacetylene (PA) has been widely studied theoretically and experimentally for many years. It is known, that doping polyacetylene, the conductivity of this material drastically increase. In this work we interpret polymers conductance by phonon-assisted tunnelling theory. Experimental data we took from others authors papers. Experimentators got I(U) and I(T) characteristics. We derive W(E) and W(1/T) dependence numerically and compare it with parameters of polyacetylene and polydiacetylene. The investigation of this materials were taken because of it`s promising properties. Tunnelling rate (W) depends on material temperature and electrical fields – external parameters. External parameters changes the height of barrier. The tunnelling of charge carriers from dopant to conducting states of polyacetylene implicate the current flow. Algebrical system Mathematica 5.0 was taken to make investigation of conductive polymers. Choosing this system, let us to estimate parameters like electron-phonon interaction constant, phonon energy, effective mass and activation energy (internal parameters). We also set how variation of some internal parameters changes the tunnelling rate and also the... [to full text]
