Epigenetické a strukturální charakteristiky savčích oocytů a embryí: extrapolace pro humánní asistovanou reprodukci (ART) / Epigenetic and structural characteristics of mammalian oocytes and embryos: extrapolation for human ARTLangerová, Alena January 2014 (has links)
It is now more than 35 years since the first world test-tube baby, Louise Brown, was born (1978) in England and it is estimated that since then more than 4 000 000 of children were produced by in vitro fertilization (IVF) worldwide. The initial success of IVF was less than 20% in best clinics, but now it reaches about 40%. This is a consequence of introduction of new methods, standardization and exploitation of new manipulation and culture media, as well as the incorporation of research results. Nevertheless, the most important still remains the skill and experience of IVF clinics and IVF laboratories staff, especially their ability to critically evaluate the quality of biological material and to decide which cure and treatment are the best one. At least, some biological material (immature and low quality oocytes) can be used for training and also for some experiments aiming to explain some questions, which are not yet fully understood (for example aneuploidies in human oocytes and embryos). In addition, this training can facilitate the introduction of new progressive approaches and may also improve indirectly the quality of infertility treatments. The first part of thesis is focused on the quality evaluation of oocytes collected by aspiration from follicles of stimulated patients. For labeling...

Vztah typu locus of control na výskyt depresivity u neplodných osob / Relation locus of control on prevalence of depresivity by infertil personBlašková, Ivana January 2016 (has links)
This master thesis deals with infertility and its treatment. Both in the theoretical and empirical part, it focuses on the female aspects of the issue. The theoretical part summarizes an overview of key information important to understand the presented problems. We define the terms, describe the psychological and physiological causes of infertility, the process of treatment of infertility and aspects thereof. We focus on the depression rate related to infertility and its treatment, furthermore, we deal with type locus of control related to the experienced rate of depression. Our aim in the empirical part is to describe the depression rate, type of locus of control within the two samples of women acquired by us and capture the possible connections. The sample is made of 58 women who are currently undergoing a treatment for infertility and of the control group, which is made of 58 healthy women. To collect the data, we used the Beck Depression Inventory BDI-II, the Rotter's Internal- External Scale and the anamnestic questionnaire. Based on acquired data, we found out some specifity in depression rate and type of locus of control within our samples of women.

Etická a psychosociální problematika dárcovského programu v asistované reprodukci / Ethic and psychosocial problems of donor program in artificial reproductionDVOŘÁKOVÁ, Alena January 2009 (has links)
My degree work focused on the problem of involuntary childlessness, which is a situation that a number of couples are facing nowadays and this issue has been growing. The work specifically deals with the donor programme in assisted reproduction. I described the method of treatment with the use of donor gametes and ethical and legislative issues related to it. The empiric part of the work is divided into two research projects each of which corresponds with one objective of the work. The first one monitors the situation when receiving couples are making a decision whether to join the assisted reproduction programme with donor gametes and the mental and social consequences of this situation. This research part is based on partly structured and non-structured interviews with 10 couples and on observations. The data was transcribed and subsequently qualitatively analysed. The second research comprises data obtained from non-structured interviews with female donors and from on-site observations. This part relates to the second objective of the degree work. In the discussion section of the work the interviews and observations are assessed and compared with literature on this topic. I focused mainly on the issue of anonymous donation, on motivation of oocyte donors and on subsequent comparison with receivers´ expectations. Based on the research I determined a hypothesis that donation of gametes is a difficult problem which our society should deal with in detail. This degree work could be used by people from centres of assisted reproduction. It can also be used as a study material by students of the Faculty of Health and Social Studies, especially those who attend the midwife course.
